BTG: May 2025 Discussion Thread
I don't think she is. I think she just created some really boring characters and for some reason doesn't know what to do with them. But let's say that she is being force to write these characters that she doesn't like or want to write for.......that's a really bad sign that the creator of the show is being told what to do from the very beginning. With so many EPs, I was worried there could be too many cooks in the kitchen, too many people giving notes - all those EPs are representing companies who have a stake in the show. Canada continues to be one episode ahead. Thursday's US episode is another lacklustre episode, even with Leslie in it. We'll see if Friday or Monday's episode in Canada will be a repeat.

GH: May 2025 Discussion Thread
Another great episode. GH has been pretty good this year, loading up the chamber, because now there's many bullets to fire, and another one was fired today when Nina found out Michael is the father of Sasha's baby. I hope this secret comes out at the hearing. I've also liked the slow burn with Gio/Emma. There's just so many things to look forward to on this show now. GH is finally back to being really good.

GH: May 2025 Discussion Thread
First DAYS yesterday and now GH today with big emotional scenes and wonderful acting all around. Amanda Setton was once again really good in those Brook Lynn and Lois scenes. I said months ago that the episode where BL learns that she had a baby boy was going to be her Emmy reel episode, but now I think today should be. Kudos to Rena as well. Then we have Jane Elliot in those scenes with Giovanni Mazza. Can't wait to see more of these two together now that Tracy/Gio know they are family. I too even found Rory Gibson to be better than what I remember of him from Y&R. It's not like he was bad at Y&R or anything.....must've been the writing. I think GH's two best stories these last 6 months or so have been the Gio story and this custody battle/everything involving Drew story. They are two stories that deal with family drama. No mobsters. Nobody trying to takeover the world. No supervillain. No gun fights. Just emotional drama with lots of build up. I even liked Trina/Kai today - probably the first time I've said that. LOL Anyone know the same of the song that played during their scenes today? I really liked it but I can't find the song by shazaming it or typing out the lyrics on google.

Yes, I new episode aired today in Canada. Kat/Tomas had some good scenes.....but.....like the Eva/Tomas scenes, it could've been a lot better without such a bad actor.

DAYS: May 2025 Discussion Thread
Wow. That was one of DAYS' best episodes start to finish. There were so many good and emotional and well acted scenes. I really appreciate the long scene too. Maggie has always had a soft spot for Xander so to her so fierce towards Xander was a pleasant surprise. Suzanne and Paul were great going toe-to-toe. We got another really good Sarah/Xander scene. Loved Brady/Paul's scenes just with the two of them. Paul saying how it feels like he just found out that John was his father and that Eric/Carrie/Sami/Brady/Belle had their entire lives to love him. But they were all lucky to have John as their father. And Paul revealing his and Andrew's initial plan to elope but now their plan is to get married in Salem with all their loved ones there. My God. Punch to the gut #1. Deidre was phenomenal in those church scenes. Belle bringing up the DNR but this time John's wishes were for him to fight on. Punch to the gut #2. Steve/Kayla also had a great scene today. "It's been like a good part of four decades that John Black has been my family." "Mine too." Then Steve in the church asking God to save his "Partner." Punch to the gut #3. The acting, writing, and directing were top notch today. Bravo, DAYS!

I just think with high schoolers, you have to establish the age of their romantic interest. Otherwise, it can get really creepy. If Doug was 19-20, I would've enjoyed his poetry/books discussion with Holly because on paper, it was actually pretty good.

Michael coming back and taking his son home was a great cliffhanger......however, my number one pet-peeve on soaps is episode-to-episode continuation. How in the world could the writers not show us Gio/Brooklyn/Lois?? I was so bummed by that. Is Scarlett Spears (Donna) not just the cutest little girl? Those dimples! She was so adorable with her performance.

That was another thing was surprised me in a good way. Having a teenage character hook up with a total stranger on her second episode? Wow. We don't often see that. But to have it happen with Diddler-Doug? This is now the second girl he's gone after who's still in high school. In my mind, Diddler-Doug is in his mid 20's, unless the show has established that he's not?

DAYS: May 2025 Discussion Thread
This entire week has been really good! First starting with Xander beating up Philip. I too didn't expect to see Xander get so violent, by kicking Philip numerous times. And I didn't expect Philip to tell Xander that "Sarah knew," which lead to Wednesday's wonderful scenes with Xander/Sarah confronting each other. I think those scenes were definitely Lindsay's best acting that she's done on the show. I'm not really a huge fan of Sarah/Xander as a romantic couple - I don't hate them either. But Lindsay and Paul do have a ton of acting chemistry and these scenes proved that. I don't read spoilers so I had no idea Bo/Hope were going to be on today. That was a nice surprise. Same with Ciara showing up. I totally forgot Ciara has two kids with Ben. I liked how she talked about them and Zack. I've always liked Victoria Konefal and thought she did a good job today. And yes, I didn't mind seeing Ciara's usual cleavage shot during those emotional scenes. Thank you, wardrobe department! LOL Could the lead up to John's death have been better? Sure. But I didn't hate it. I liked that John's final act was saving Bo's life. And that full circle moment at the hospital with Marlena was poetic. I was starting to get a bit teary eyed during today's episode. Next week is going to be tough. I don't know if John getting blown up to pieces would've been the right idea. 😂

GH: May 2025 Discussion Thread
At first I was on the fence about Gio being Brooklyn/Dante's son, but I've been loving the build up to this reveal. I'm glad Korte/CVE took their time with this story because the reveal was excellent! When Gio found out half way through the episode, I thought, "Why did he find out now? This should be the cliffhanger." Boy, was I wrong. Gio smashing the violin and revealing the truth to everyone like that was really soapy and what I want to see in a soap opera. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Inspector Katget figuring things out again. Now, let's be honest, if Ron Carlivati was the breakdown writer of this episode, you guys would've rolled your eyes at the ATWT reference. LOL

LOL!! Kat seems to be a better at putting things together than the actual police. She's definitely more interesting like this compared to her real job, whatever it is. Those Eva/Tomas could've been so much better with a better actor because their discussion about parents was pretty good.

Kat may be a privileged elitist but that's not entirely true. Kat first met Eva when Eva was snooping at Nicole's desk, so Kat's first impression of Eva wasn't very good. Plus, Kat's instinct to not trust Eva was 100% right. Kat's attitude toward Eva had nothing to do with Eva not "bowing" down to Kat, and her feelings toward her half-sister is very justified......minus the making fun of Eva's clothes of course.

I would assume so. Probably just a spelling error. She has connections to MVJ (from GH), to JHC (from AMC), and to CBS (from Y&R).

Wow. Interesting that Tracey's name is there and Guza's is not. This probably means she's going to get a Co-HW credit as well because she has no production credits. Tracey wrote for AMC, GH, and Y&R. Tracey was a secondary Co-HW on Y&R from December 7, 2012 to March 15, 2017.

BTG: May 2025 Discussion Thread
That is one of the best insults I've heard in a long time. I burst out laughing when Kat called Eva that. LOL Their scenes, of course, were really good. Colby and Ambyr have so much chemistry. The only thing I'd change is Kat saying "you're dead to me." That's a phrase usually said about someone you care about. I would've preferred something like "You will never be my sister," or something similar to that. Nice contrast at the end with both mothers/daughters: Kat comforting/consoling her mother, and Eva being locked out by her mother. Yeah, I wasn't a big of fan of the singing either, especially after your daughter's life has been destroyed. What? LOL And I also agree with those that thought Dana/Leslie's scenes with the Dupree's didn't feel right since Eva is not a Dupree....unless she is. But as of right now, she's not.
