  2. Ratings for the week March 21-25, 2022
  3. Agreed. Will apologized. No doubt Chris will issue an apology too. Then move on. This whole thing should be over by the end of the week.
  4. What should the Academy do? Taking his Oscar away over a slap is utterly ridiculous. Give him a one show “ban” where he won’t present at next years show? It was a chuckle and hand clap. I didn’t see a belly laugh unless we have a different opinion on what a belly laugh is. lol
  5. I agree with this, especially when you're at an awards show and know the camera is on you. You tend to "laugh" at the joke that's about you even if it's not funny. Like the whole Jake and Maggie incest joke where you saw Jake "laughing". I didn't understand why "We Don't Talk About Bruno" was performed when it wasn't nominated. That was a waste of time. So was Wanda at the Academy museum. That's about 10-12 minutes right there that could've been cut. The Twitter Top 5 thing that Army of the Dead and Justice League "won" was embarrassing. That's another 6 minutes or so there.
  6. The Batman-slapping-Robin meme in real life. 😂
  7. Someone had to do it. 😂 You guys are too serious over one slap. LOL 😂 It’s not Iike Chris got his nose or jaw broken, or the got the shit kick out of him. Props to Chris for continuing with the show. 😂
  8. ABC Execs: “The Oscars are back, baby!” Will and Chris are icons. I can’t see them not making up some time in the near future.
  9. I just don’t think a dude giving one punch/slap equates to mental illness. Sure it was at the Oscars but I just think it’s a stretch. You can take the man out of West Philadelphia but you can’t take West Philadelphia out of the man. Go Will!
  10. He just punched a guy on live television and then had to go give an award winning speech at the Oscars 10 minutes later. Of course he’s going to “struggle” and be all emotional. Come on.
  11. That was infuriating. I hope ABC uploads a version without the stupid cutaway.
  12. Amazing speech by Will. My heart was pounding. As a life long Will Smith fan, I’m so proud of him. “Protect your family.”
  13. Hair loss: Jada Pinkett Smith reveals alopecia battle
  14. Don’t make fun of how a guy’s wife looks if you don’t want to get punched. That’s just something you know. Thought Chris was street-smarter than that.
  15. The punch looked faked from that angle and I thought it was a bit, but then Will was so mad it looked real. Wow. What a television moment. LOL
  16. What?? Did that just happen?? Was that real?? The Will Smith/Chris Rock thing.
  17. Ratings for the week March 14-18, 2022
  18. I suspected Dylan’s post in the spolier forum was about Jack’s mystery texter, so on didn’t read that thread. Luckily, nobody talked about it in this thread, except for that one post that at least used a spoiler tag, and nobody replied to it so that was nice to see. And good thing @Erroldidn’t write a news article about her return. 😉 LOL
  19. I was able to avoid the spoilers and was surprised by Diane’s return (I love Susan! Happy she’s back!) but I agree that the re-introduction was lame, especially from a production standpoint. Even Victoria finding out about Ashland wasn’t dramatic. The episode writing and production values are so lifeless.
  20. So it’s Disney’s fault. They should’ve just asked the Academy to make her a presenter. She’s young, she’s beautiful, she’s talented, how do you not want to showcase her? Especially after you cast her as Snow White.
  21. Is there a capacity limit? Makes no sense for the lead actress in a Best picture nominated film to not get invited. Don’t Look Up won the Writers Guild for original screenplay (I thought the script was really good), while CODA win for adapted screenplay.
  22. If there is an upset, it usually happens more in the Supporting category. I think that will be the situation this year. So CODA and TPOTD are head-to-head coming down the stretch.
  23. Ratings for the week March 7-11, 2022
  24. What Jane said was dumb but it wasn’t *that* bad, and she apologized right away. With wins at the BAFTAs and Critics Choice Awards, TPOTD takes the lead in the race for Best Picture. Only big award left is the Producers Guild. And it looks like the acting categories are set. I wonder if there will be an upset.
  25. Jane Campion/The Power of The Dog won the DGA Award. TPOTD now joins CODA in leading the race for Best Picture.
