I disagree with Novak's vaccine stance, but he's a lot more watchable/likeable than Nick. I bet on Nick to win but I found myself not wanting him to win. I don't mind the occasional outburst, but he literally had outbursts the entire match, almost after every point. And the way he talked to his own box, like they were doing something wrong. I've never seen that before. I pretty much just watch the later rounds, so I hope Nick loses in early in future grand slams so I won't have to watch him again. He's a talented guy but I don't want to be shouting "shut up man!" for a couple hours. LOL

Netflix: Stranger Things
I think having a "high body count" in the final season would be a wrong thing to do, especially if it's one of the main kids or Joyce or Jim. I really enjoyed this season and don't have that many complaints. Just one minor one though: how there were three separate locations and set of characters: 1. Russia, 2. Hawkins, 3. LA/West Coast. So there were less mix of character interactions. Looking forward to the final season. I hope the Duffer Brothers don't botch it.

Saturday Night Live: Discussion Thread
That was cool to see. I thought this season was really good with the new cast members and new writers. The big standouts for me were Sarah Sherman (her quirkiness, and her segments on Weekend Update with Colin Jost), James Austin Johnson (his Trump impression), and the Please Don't Destroy guys. I also liked Aristotle Athari when he got a chance to shine, but he didn't get many opportunities, not like Sarah and JAJ did. I though Chris Redd got more and I hope that will continue. His first sketch as Mayor Adams was one of the best from this season. I've always liked Pete from the beginning but it still amazes me how big he is now, in pop culture. I'm going to miss his music video segments.

I keep forgetting to bet on Novak to win after he loses the first set. This always happens in the finals. lol

First time watching Nick play, he needs support from his box after every point? “Say something!!” He has a lot of talent but is such a needy child. I bet on Nick winning in the 5th set, so I hope he doesn’t totally unravel.

Wow. Definitely disappointing. Nadal had a great chance for the yearly slam. 😥

B&B July 2022 Discussion Thread
When Carter kissed Quinn right in front of Paris, it was such a dick move. I do like Quinn/Carter better than Paris/Carter, but that scene and their reunion just didn't feel right with me, mainly because it was so rushed. Quinn finding out about Eric/Donna and reuniting with Carter happened in just 2 episodes.

ARTICLE: Daytime Broadcast Ratings for the Week of June 20-24, 2022
LOL You can usually credit a big week in story when the ratings have been stabilized (not dropping a lot, not gaining a lot) for many weeks, and then you see a big gain. So this was obvious situation where they just got back some of viewers from the massive 300,000+ drop.

B&B is only up because they were down huge last week. It wasn’t necessarily the storylines that made the ratings go up this week.

I feel so bad for Americans. What a fucked up country you guys are living in, and it’s only going to get worse if Republicans get their way. 😥

DAYS: June 2022 Discussion Thread ⌛
Not another stupid murder mystery. I don't remember the last time I enjoyed one. This is DAYS, so Abby better not be dead for real. She should be one of the lead female characters on the show. And I love Marci so that adds to the disappointed of Abby being killed.

Agreed. It was a lackluster ending and I’m happy the story is over……it’s over, right? lol

2022: The Directors and Writers Thread
It was nice to see a long time staff member get a chance. We'll see if she gets more chances, like Kai Kim did, but Kai didn't last long. I wonder why they haven't brought back Dean LaMont, or someone permanent to help with the workload. They just have 4 main directors. Owen Renfroe directed 80 episodes last year, which is a ridiculous amount.

Of course health matters. If he and Novak are healthy at the start of the tournament, they are automatically the top 2 favourites.

Netflix: Stranger Things
That's a great idea! Marvel plucked The Russo brothers from TV too. Season 4 has been really good! The "Running Up The Hill" scene is one of the best from the series. I'm starting to become a fan of Sadie now, after her performance in the Taylor Swift's "All Too Well" short film, and of course this season of Stranger Things. I see a huge career for her. Joe Keery may not the best actor on the show, but he is part of two of my favourite friendships in the show: Steve/Dustin and Steve/Robin. He just has a likeable attitude/persona and has great chemistry with the entire cast. What's the reason for keeping the last 2 episodes until July?
