  1. Ellen Wheeler and Chris Goutman are under appreciated. Ellen kept several hundred people employed for a year and a half longer than CBS wanted.
  2. Exactly! adrnyc. Goutman was in an impossible situation. His higher ups were CBS and P&G and BOTH wanted the show gone. Moonves at CBS wanted The Talk for his wife and P&G had wanted out of the soap opera business for years. There was no saving ATWT. The people who complain the most could never be an EP. They don't begin to understand what was going on and how impossible the job was. Some on here are so thin skinned get butt hurt when they perceive that Alan Locher was rude and deleted a comment. They would never last as an EP of a soap opera. Well, they'd never get a job as an EP of a soap. lol Thank god!
  3. I disagree, but that's ok. Lisa was unimportant.
  4. GREAT interview with Alan Locher and 5 time Emmy winner Chris Goutman! The ones who complain the most could never, ever ever do the job that Chris did. Much less win 5 emmys. Alan Locher has done a great job with his interviews. Great insight. It's so easy to critique and not understand the financials behind it. Chris Goutman, 5 emmys. JFP, 11 emmys. Incredible talent.
  5. Says the person who took the time the time to say how NO one cares. Awww, you care. Thank you. To stay on topic, any word about season 2? Ron Carlivati is a genius!
  6. Why are we seeing smirky Will? Of course Chandler will take any job and copy Freddie who, last Christmas, wouldn't come back to the studio but said if you can skype me in, I'll do it. Chandler is copying Freddie. I love Freddie Smith's channel. Well worth the $$. He tells it like it is. Days wanted him back and he said no. Onward & upward Freddie. He is missed at Days.
  7. Read Datalounge. Vee is quite unpopular there. That being said, Ron Carlivati is my hero. He does fantastic work. The Beyond Salem arc was genius and he has everyone in the biz talking about Days and the revisiting of the Marlena possession storyline. Bravo!
  8. Alan Locher is a great guy. I'm friends with him on Facebook. Look him up. He has an interview with the GREAT Christopher Goutman this week!
  9. Most don't look to this board for validation. 96 year old Bill Hayes!
  10. Brilliant work by my beloved Mr. Ron Carlivati! Days is on fire! We don't need snoozy yawny Zach Tinker. We need 96 year old Bill Hayes to lead this show. Great job today, Bill.
  11. Looking forward to the Chris Goutman, a 5 time Emmy winner interview with Alan. I DM'd Alan and gave him my support. He replied. Alan gets it.
  12. I'll totally pay Freddie's membership! Funny how all of you who hate him follow him endlessly and know everything going on with him. Freddie is the best!
  13. Posters here are as cranky as old Vic. Lighten up! It's a soap. Especially Icky Foxworthy aka Mike. Lighten up! Days is doing great stuff!!!!
  14. Classic of this board. Those who "don't watch" are now watching again and commenting on something they don't watch. Imagine that. Days has been great since Mr. Carlivati came along and got the show renewal after renewal and is now the most talked about show in daytime with the devil revisit and Beyond Salem.
  15. They are re-enacting Sami stuff from what I've heard. Oh do join us Mikey at the other board. You'll love interacting with Ictoria. She's the Sami.
  16. Somehow, I think Freddie is OK. He turned them down. Days wanted him and he said no. Carlivati confirmed it.
  17. Of course, on this board the response would be Freddie is that you. I never mentioned Freddie. There are several boards out there who mock this board. Rightfully so. My post was about Zach Tinker yawning through 2 interviews that I watched. He should be more respectful during interviews. I never said anything about his performance as Sonny, which was fine. Just be more engaged and not yawn so much during interviews.
  18. Zach Tinker needs to learn how to show respect during an interview. I've seen 2 zoom interviews with him this week where he is clearly bored and yawns several times. There could be other interviews out there but he's 2 for 2 in the 2 interviews I've seen of him. I've watched many dozens of zoom interviews during the pandemic and have never seen anyone else yawn during an interview. So disrespectful. And to show up like he just rolled out of bed. I wanted the interviewers to ask him if they were disturbing him. Afterall, Zach was the one who agreed to the interviews. They didn't call and wake him up unexpectedly. Cancel the interview if you're not up to it. In the Michael Fairman interview, there were 4 other cast members who took the time to look decent and never acted bored or yawned. Tinker has so much to learn. Take a lesson from the classy Eileen Davidson in that same Fairman interview and from Charles Shaughnesssy and RSW and Peter Porte who were all so much classier than Zach.
