Jeanne Cooper was not a fan of Maria Arena, either, especially after she was instrumental in killing off Marge, and Cooper remarked she wished she could've killed off the writers. Maria Arena never wanted Maura West on the cast; it was CBS and Sony who orchestrated the hire.

I don't think Menighan was the problem. It was the writing for her in the role.

Which is unfortunate.

I wish it would return to streaming, along with the two-part reunion.

Yes he did, but, when Charles Pratt, Jr. took helm as co-executive producer and head writer, he dropped the storyline, because he was uncomfortable with telling the story. And kind of the same with Nikki's M.S. diagnosis; it's not just mentioned as a trope if she's stressing out, etc. The potential this story had if only Adrienne Leon had not been fired from the role of Colleen.

I know people herald the Dobsons, however, given what I've seen and read, they were not as well-off as they are made to be. That first year, a lot and I do mean A LOT of mistakes were made, in terms of story and casting, and they continued to happen. Now, whether it was the Dobsons, their co-executive producers, the production company or NBC making those shots, it seems like from the start, this soap was doomed. Ava Lazar, at the end of the day, was perfectly cast in the role of Santana, and she brought a depth and warmth to the role that each of her successors failed to bring.

I know. But, for some reason, my streaming on my PS4 hates those kind of sites.

Yet, despite this, they cast Margaret Michaels, who like her predecessor, also did not look or sound like a "stereotypical" Latina. By the time Gina Gallego was cast, this role was such a throw-away I am sure Gallego lasted as long as she did.

The 1990s were such a great standing for this soap. Miss those times. This was fantastic, and I find it interesting that both Nicole Forester and Laura Wright were working at the same time in the same role.

You are not in the minority. I know plenty who have applauded Tuesdays episode for the Jordan/Portia scenes, as well as Tina's own scenes, despite being with Cameron. It felt nice to see topical issues being tackled on American soap operas again, especially in the right way.

Oh! This one is going to be FUN!

Susan Banks and Susan Dansby would be a dream duo of head writers, and then bring on Wendy Riche as executive producer.

Kind of sad the edge Emily had during Melanie Smith's portrayal was taken away with Kelly Menighan in the role.

Oh boy did you miss out on a fantastic series!!!

My thoughts are it might be Monica. Don't ask me why.
