  1. I'm glad the baby's name wasn't Tate Corinthos. That's a soap trend that needs to die.
  2. What are you even talking about? I've never seen someone so consistently loud and wrong on this board. It was absolutely a popularity contest. It's got a giant photo of Luke and Laura in their wedding attire from 40 years ago, Rebecca Herbst who has a loud and ardent fanbase that has saved her job at least twice, Sonny and Brenda a hugely popular pairing (and the last time show lead Sonny was interesting) and Spencer and Trina's fanbase is the first one I've seen in YEARS this enthused about a pairing, they hired a frickin' plane to fly over GH's studio. If you don't think ABC opened up their entire photo repository to People for this tribute issue you have no clue how any of this works and should just stop.
  3. Holy shît, Spencer and Trina made the cover! THEY'RE NOT EVEN A REAL COUPLE (YET). It's really effin' WILD that out of all of the extremely popular couples/supercouples that GH has had (and they have had numerous) that they made the cover. This is great but I swear if I have to file for social security before they kiss. I will lose my mind, take the first flight to LA, find Frank Whatthefuckareyoudoingtini and smack him. I honestly think we all collectively manifested the characters featured on that cover lmao. Luke & Laura, Spencer and Trina and a GIANT picture of Rebecca Herbst all by herself. Well fücking deserved. If the show isn't going to recognize at least SOMEONE did. Of course Sonny had to be squeezed in there and he was, using a picture from a time when he was actually interesting. And we got Brenda @carolineg!
  4. I was just telling @Vee that Chavez is the only one who feels like a Cassadine to me. Victor is someone's friendly butler and Valentin is just as non-threatening. I think Huss has been great considering the heavy lift involved but I wouldn't want him full time either.
  5. Hold the goddamn phone. I was trying to figure out where I recognized the actor playing Portia's brother Zeke from and he's Gavin Houston (the gay brother from The Haves and The Have Nots), extremely attractive, good actor, I can't believe he's not a new contract actor, etc. ANYWAY, he is 45 years old. How?! I guess he and Brook Kerr just decided to stop aging at 28. God I love being black.
  6. Man oh man the acting is BAD in this promo. I usually think Bergman doesn't have a bad day but this is one of them and Mealor isn't even trying. The shot of Braeden never should have seen the light of day, he looks confused about where he is.
  7. I wasn't watch at the time but in the clips and episodes I've seen I enjoyed Brenda Epperson's portrayal of Ashley far more than I've ever enjoyed Eileen's. She's just so cold and it doesn't always feel intentional, it reads like "Why am I here?". Because on Days she's the opposite, she relishes in the most reductive non-sensical plot turns and dialogue.
  8. It's a debate for the ages. For what it's worth the creator of the gif said it's pronounced "Jif". Source Monday's episode was good stuff (if you ignore everything involving Chase/Brook Lynn and Austin and his cousin). Genie is too damn good, her first scene with Spencer she was tempering barely concealed rage. The Laura deep inside her wanted to smack him so hard because she feels in her soul that she just said goodbye to her son. Honestly she elevates every scene she's in, and I will watch Laura do anything (now that Luke's gone this can be true all of the time for me). Adam Huss and Maura West were dynamite as well, especially with him stepping into the climax of this story. I actually don't think MC could have played those scenes as well, he just doesn't have a range. I assume he was upset that Nik is (apparently? allegedly?) being killed off. Get over yourself. I don't want Nik to die but PLEASE. Nik throwing Kiki's death in Ava's face and threatening to take Avery immediately got real dark real fast. And I completely understand why he went there, Ava has helped irreparably damaged his relationship with his adult son AND helped him (Spencer) to get custody of his unborn child. I'd be a little unhinged too.
  9. I find him to be a distractingly bad actor.
  10. Adam Huss wants this job BAD. He was great yesterday. This has got to be one of the better sequences I've seen executed on a soap in quite some time. Three formidable actors, some skilled editing and chilling music. Good stuff!
  11. We been knew. Sony is happy that Bryton and Khristel are happy to keep their heads down and cash their easy paychecks.
  12. You always want to put someone with a Black Man ™. Laura cussing people out is the highlight of any episode, because unlike when people like Sonny or Carly or even Alexis do it Laura is a fundamentally good person who CAN speak from morally superior place. It's gratifying to watch her put someone in their place. You guys are no fun.
  13. I'd forgotten how many kids Cassie had. Tammy, one with Hart, one with Richard and didn't she and Edmund try to have a kid too? Calm down, woman. One of the first episodes I recall watching of GL had Phillip and Beth stuck on a mountain after a plane crash, was that in San Cristobel? Sounds about white.
  14. Let Laura have an affair! With a man who's lives that rough and tumble life but isn't some sort of Luke copy. Someone slightly younger maybe, in their 40s (and NOT Austin or Finn who are "40s") that would be exciting for her and the audience. If they played it right it could absolutely work, especially since she wouldn't be cheating on the love of her life but Kevin, the guy who gets less screentime than his fake mute twin brother.
  15. Wait, they asked her to re-audition for the role while she was playing it?
  16. Scenes with Austin and Finn feel so belabored. I'm sure we're meeting guarantees but enough! And watching Michael Easton gravel talk his way through the grief of his non-relationship with Liz is physically painful to watch. They have got to give Genie something substantial to do. The marriage with Kevin is not it. Britt's being given a month long mourning as if she were a 30 year vet. Enough about her already. This week has been deathly dull. Let's get some other balls dropping, at least add some humor or something.
  17. You don't have to announce a subject change, no one really cares lol In an ideal world with limitless time and resources we'd have remixed episodes that consolidated a week's worth of episodes into one episode allow for a 52 episode "season". Imagine a 40 seasons 2,000+ curated episodes of All My Children as opposed to 40 years and 10k episodes. Impossible, could never happen, would divide the fanbases, cause riots, etc. but a boy can dream. Thank you! Okay this is wild but I actually remember that door discussion back in the day! I recall the door debate and everyone hated Wendy Muniz. I'd never seen any of Cassie/Hart/Dinah story until just yesterday and I could have sworn in the scene where Dinah shot Hart there was a baby crying in the background. Can someone tell me how they cast that lughead Frank Grillo as Roger's son? So bizarre. Speaking of long lost children, while I think he's well liked by fans I also never got the casting of the milquetoast guy as Reva and Billy's son Dylan. I'm all over the place, forgive me but San Cristobel was a carribbean island, right? Did we ever see any black people on this island? It's so funny watching mid-western white people barking at each other about "the people" and their rights yet never seeing said people. Bleach blonde Beth in her pastel suit skirt not only screeching histrionics at Richard because he hurt Edmund's feelings but talking far too expertly about the intricacies of the monarchy and their childhood. Three of the blondest whitest women all from the same small town married into royalty! It's absolute insanity. How long did the show live in both locations btw?
  18. What happened to Dinah's kid Laura? I didn't even know she had one until about 5 minutes ago.
  19. Has AMC had the most soap stars to host SNL? Susan, Kelly, MBJ, SMG...anyone else?
  20. She's a current cast member so I didn't want to put this in where are they now but anyway, Kate Linder just added to her IMDB with her part in this movie. She has more screen time in this trailer than she's had on Y&R in years.
  21. Woof indeed. Coloma barely passed muster. Not to be too superficial but Tyler Christopher was achingly beautiful and dark and brooding...these two, especially Huss, ain't cutting it. While Spencer and Trina can't even admit they're more than friends. Make it make sense.
  22. This is not debatable at all. She was the first live action portrayal of what has gone on to become an iconic television and film character. I mean...
  23. At least they stayed consistent in using her!
  24. Well in this specific instance they have her in this photo knowing full well that she was leaving right after the photoshoot. They just needed their black, best actress winner in the 50th anniversary photo despite not being on the show in nearly 6 (?) months by the time the anniversary rolls around.
