  1. LMAO 👀 Oh he'd give it all up all these other options for just one shot at making Laurus a reality. Young hot doctor wife? Young hot police commissioner? 60 year old (hot) grandmother?
  2. She barely passes as human so my expectations for her are very low. Donnell seems checked out of the role completely to me. I don't get the feeling he likes any of this story. Brook Kerry is giving her all plus 10% and he's just 😐. Taggert is more engaged in the desolation of Portia's marriage than Curtis is.
  3. Jordan and Curtis have anti-chemistry. I've never seen two actors want to kiss each other less.
  4. Lexi looks younger than her age which clearly doesn't fit the show's view of the character. Trust me, if Eden McCoy hadn't developed into a beautiful young woman she'd be gone too. Look at Robyn Richards. And if KM hadn't grown up to be so pretty and wasn't so beloved she would have gotten the axe. I think LA is a great actress, better than most of her peers. In fact she's the only actor that gave a remotely realistic reaction to Sonny's return from the dead, everyone else was lukewarm and dead-eyed.
  5. That at least makes sense! Suddenly at the age of 25 everyone in Vicki's life stopped calling her Vicki!
  6. Yeah she's just been on the show forever, she's not like Kim or Camryn Grimes where the idea of recasting is inconceivable. Molly is easily re-castable.
  7. Related to the Kay/Katherine discussion, sometime in the mid-2000s the show stopped having characters call her Vicki and exclusively had everyone call her Victoria. The same with Nick versus Nicholas, though I think he's still called Nick sometimes.
  8. It's also an everyday job, it's not like they made a movie for 3 months. It's so much information to retain that if they don't dump half of what they learn they'd go crazy. What's more important, remembering Eva and John's names or Maria and Edmund's?
  9. HP effed up big time and yeah she should suffer the consequences, all of them beyond losing her job. Hopefully the person she injured doesn't die. Does the show even realize how sick it is that a television producer would pump in baby sounds into the earpiece of a woman who had a stillborn child and resulting mental breakdown? That's downright evil. And they treated it so casually. Curtis' club is quite the happening place for Port Charles' middle-aged white women. Carly and Nina are going schedule their next endless argument on the dancefloor.
  10. My least favorite affairs are the ones they write in to have had happened off-screen because one half of a couple who got their happily ever after is returning to the show solo. See: Harley and Mallet on GL, Andi and Antonio on OLTL
  11. I don't know. If you can bring back the other Carlys you can bring back Tony. Make it work, Frank.
  12. She returns from the dead and then disappears for almost 2 months. What was the point of this again? I don't hate Felicia but Kristina Wagner's voice drives me absolutely nuts. She can't maintain an inflection or consistent emotion to save her life. She plays the part like a child pretending to be an adult. Is this lady supposed to be related to Luna Moody? I guess anyway to assure Susan Batten has health insurance. They really need to add some flashbacks to this Sasha story, it was a year ago and I've never seen this allegedly meltdown although they talk about it ad nauseam. Cameron Mathison has Drew talk to everyone like they're idiots. He's so artificial, I can't stand it. Dex in every scene: "I have to go Joss! I'm sorry! I am nothing and will be nothing without you because I have no personality outside of being good in bed! I miss you Joss!"
  13. Not bringing back Brad Maule would be an egregious mistake. If anyone should lead Bobbie to heaven (if we go that corny route) it's Tony, the man who was her best friend and husband of almost ten years. They should bring back Sam Behrens as Jake and AJ Martinez as Roy. And there's no good reason JJ shouldn't return as Lucky. Frank's ego is not a good reason.
  14. I will never understand Sarah Buxton's appeal. She always looked like a series of bad plastic surgeries and affected acting to me.
  15. It's funny to think of the soaps that were in some of their more notable eras in their 35th year: GH was in arguably it's golden era with the Labines and Riche at the helm, AMC was coming out of a mini-resurgence in popularity with Bianca's baby switch, ATWT was smackdab in the middle of Marland's heyday and...B&B is running on fumes with Sheila terrorizing this cavalcade of idiots and Brooke and Ridge are reuniting for the umpteenth time this decade.
  16. That talking box of hair has only ever shown interest in Dex and corn.
  17. I don't see her as a doctor either. I don't think it's necessary. It's not even like it's part of her familial legacy and she's never shown an interest in 10 years as an adult. It would feel real hammered in. I also don't like that they have Josslyn wanting to study medicine. She doesn't the intellect if I'm being perfectly honest. Maybe she can be a professional candy striper (do hospitals still do that?).
  18. Who can top this other Stefano DiMera or James Stenbeck? And Victor never "died" for nefarious means, he wasn't trying to deliberately hurt anyone any of those times, was he? No one asked but I personally hate these type of stories. Mostly because they feel lazy and also because the other characters never grieve the way they would if the death was meant to stick or if the character died with the passing of an actor. They'll be sad for a few weeks and then it's back to normal so that the un-dead character can walk in as their spouse is about to marry someone else or something equally stupid.
  19. I was using hyperbole, Emily was over 21, not yet 25. Still a major ick factor considering both Sonny and Emily's past (like @Vee said, and watching Amber's Emily grow up on the show).
  20. I don't think any recasting or writing could have surmounted the fact that Emily was barely out of high school and Sonny was in his 40s. It was icky on a fundamental level. Not to mention Sonny's already gross past with teenage girls.
  21. No one ever really leaves Days of Our Lives. Days of Our Lives isn't a place of employment, it's a state of being. Once you're Days of Our Lives, you're always Days of Our Lives.
  22. Days of Our Lives now films further in advance than it used to, so it may take longer for viewers to notice a change in the quality of writing and dialogue.
  23. Lucky! I saw it long after it aired. I meant to ask, can anyone think of any other examples?
  24. I'm certainly no Michael or Willow fan but it's sweet that her last episode was that of her grandson's wedding. It's funny how that's happened a few times in daytime, where a veteran cast member's final episode feels like kismet. John Ingle's Edward putting Emma before himself and having those wonderful final moments with Tracy (this was planned knowing JI would pass but still felt destined) and Jeanne Cooper's final scene with Jess Walton couldn't be more perfect, a 2 minute scene that encapsulated the complexities of Katherine and Jill's relationship, it was the finest thing Y&R has done in at least 15 years. This doesn't compare to those examples of course (though the moment with the Spencer women welcoming Willow to the family was nice in spirit if not great in execution) but it's nice nonetheless.
  25. How the hell did either of them make it in People? They weren't even popular for daytime.
