It does sound like Days was hoping she would be the young ingenue that would bring in the younger viewers and raise the ratings. But it seems like both the acting and the writing, especially under Nina Laemmle, just wasn't there. And once Pat Falken Smith left, there didn't seem to be much interest in Jessica, and Joshua too anymore.

Now that I've seen Angel in action, I see she's just as drippy as Jessica 😂 And damn, Gregg Marx was handsome

I would have had Shawn confess at the very beginning that he did sleep with Jan. Belle would then act like she's brushing it off, but deep down, she's actually very angry and upset about it. At the same time, she also feels guilty for feeling that way because it technically wasn't Shawn's fault. She keeps all that from Shawn, and everybody else, but eventually confides everything in EJ, allowing them to grow closer and finally have an affair. Idk if I'd have Jan move in with Shawn and Belle, but I definitely would not have given her all the control.

And that's the main problem of the storyline for me: it all could have happened without the same way Shawn and Belle being dumbed down and acting like Jan was in control.

Haha you’re welcome! For me, it wasn’t the age difference that made it so creepy, it was the fact that Nik and Esme are so damaged and unlikeable right now. It was almost like watching two mentally ill people take advantage of each other. I do appreciate how messy this is going to get though 😂

Maybe because there was never any real investment in his character, which their should have been. Maybe they didn’t want have to search for another actor with prosthetic legs. I’m sure there’s a lot of reasons but I’m really gonna miss Chet/Terry
