SAY WHAT? Mary Stuart played Jo and Kate the ex-madam?! Gosh, I hope those two characters had scenes together.

The Doctors Discussion Thread
Bonus points if they tried to re-create the lineup from that era and shortly after. SFT at 12:30, ATWT in the 1 p.m. hour (to represent the classic 1:30 slot), AW at 2 p.m., TGL at 3 p.m. and EON at 4 p.m. (or 12 if they'd prefer a solid block). Run Texas at 11 a.m. when it comes time to air and one could have a P&G overload. (Or, as The Doctors' sponsor might say, "you're soaking in it.")

I'm curious/hopeful that they'll make it to the end. What's the situation re: popular music and The Doctors? I know rights issues were what kept post-1981 episodes of Ryan's Hope from airing on SoapNet.

One Life to Live Tribute Thread
Does anyone here have a copy of Love, Honor and Cherish? I remember the date was listed there. The wedding episodes were Elaine Princi's last as Dorian, and Robin apparently returned on Friday, Feb. 19th. With that info, and the proximity to Valentine's Day, I'll take a shot in the dark and guess Friday, Feb. 12.

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
Like @j swift, I've been reading the Classic Soap Opera Digest Tumblr. One thing I've just realized is that 1990 was an across-the-board bad year for female Hortons. Hope died. Jennifer was raped. Alice had heart issues. Maggie got hit by a wall during the storm. Julie came back divorced. Melissa ended up losing Emilio. And didn't the Maggie and Neil affair start that year, causing Sarah angst? (ETA: Yes it did, and Sarah ended up in a coma, too.) Laura was lucky to be in the sanitarium. Ditto Sandy out in Hawaii. And Marie wherever she was.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler? Even then, I had to Google to find out she has MS.

ALL: Proposed Soaps Over The Years
Early '93. Roman and Marlena were going to a Marx Bros. festival. He was Groucho -- she was Harpo. They ended up roping in John as Chico. I agree with you on Deidre, which is why I'm especially curious about who could have pulled off P.T.

ALL: Proposed Soaps Over The Years
There's quite a lot to digest (pun intended) here! Late spring 1993 ... so as a replacement for Santa Barbara, or in the half-hour before Days? Of course, by that point, Days had reignited John and Marlena. Also interesting to note that Northrup's return contract was only for a year. I'd love to know who some of those wish-list actors were, namely for the Waterfield father and P.T. Barnum.

No. This was the period when ABC dominated the Daytime Emmy nominations. Only two NBC actors -- Deidre Hall and Paul Stevens -- were nominated in 1984, and both lost.

Soap Hoppers: The Soap Actors And Roles Thread
Slight correction on the Margaret Whitton entry. She was in Major League, not A League of Their Own. Also, if her work in Big Girls Don't Cry ... They Get Even is any indication, she would have killed as a mom on 90210 or one of the WB soaps. "(paraphrasing) Maybe you shouldn't tell me, if I'm such a dumb bunny."
