  1. Was this the only soap wedding to take place on a racetrack? 😂
  2. Yes! I never realized how complex digitizing those tapes really is.
  3. There still hasn't been an official statement from CBS or Carrie Ann either way (though the longer she's out, the less likely her coming back is). Personally,I think CBS should do a complete rehaul of the format and set...and change the show's title. Once they decided to add a man full-time, it was no longer The Talk as it always was.
  4. Thanks for sharing that! I was wondering what was going on.
  5. Another reason why they looked so happy is because Lauren White and Jonathan Frakes were a couple in real life at that time.
  6. Were Lemay/Rauch the longest-running HW/EP tandem in soaps, or was that Slesar/Nicholson of EDGE?
  7. He was definitely one of the show's most delightful characters!! I think both Lane Davies and Gordon Thomson have said that Mason was the role of a lifetime.
  8. It's shameful and a disgrace - all of it. 😡😡😡😡😡
  9. Here's the wedding of Mary Jane "MJ" Match (Lauren White) and Tom Carroll (Jonathan Frakes) on The Doctors, 1977. It was a small and intimate wedding for a soap, especially in those days. This looks like a wedding dress that probably shouldn't have worked but did, in no small part due to the gorgeous lighting.
  10. Lane Davies was one of a kind. I'm still angry at GH for wasting him.
  11. This was the only K.C. Collier author I could find...as @RavenWhitneysaid, the ATWT K.C. Collier was probably a pen name. http://selfpublishersshowcase.com/k-c-al-collier/
  12. It never aired on our ABC affiliate in Cleveland (WEWS-5), either. However, it did air in Akron (then WAKR-23).
  13. Same here. I'll bring the popcorn!! 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
  14. I agree. I'd also ask about her time on the short-lived The Don Rickles Show. She played Don Rickles' wife, and a pre-Happy Days Erin Moran played their daughter.
  15. The only other person who might have pulled off this look - Joan Collins.
  16. I saw her as Vivian first, which is why I think of her as Augusta second. I wrote to her a few years ago and mentioned that my mother wouldn't allow my sister and I to watch soaps until we were teenagers. She wrote back and approved of my mother's decision. 🤣😂
  17. No one else on daytime but Linda Dano could have pulled that look off.
  18. How many soaps had tie-in novels? The Doctors had one. AW had at least two. I got nothing else.
  19. SHHH...someone may be listening. 😉🤣😂
  20. @FrenchFan, thank you for the detailed timeline. Hindsight is always 20/20, but I wonder if Gerald Gordon should have stayed in NYC and on TD. That show was his oyster, but he was a big fish in a small pond. He got a very sweet deal on GH, but for whatever reason, Dr. Mark Dante didn't bring the magic to the show that Dr. Nick Bellini did on TD. GG never became the breakout star in primetime and film that he had wanted to be (as he said in print interviews at the time). Of course, he would be overcome by serious health problems in the years to come that probably had something to do with it. It's a shame, because he really was a powerful actor.
  21. Yes, just like they do for every other subject.
  22. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll see if my library or eBay has them.
  23. Didn't Terry Davis' husband (Andrew Weyman) direct SB around this time?
  24. Now that's rich. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
