  1. As we continue to wait for Retro to air the episodes from 1980 on, here is a photo of Franc Luz as Dr. John Bennett. He was the only male performer on the show besides Jim Pritchett to get an Emmy nomination for Best Actor.
  2. I actually think "Garden of Evil" is a better title!!
  3. I can't even picture Don Jeffcoat as Nikolas. Wow.
  4. Absolutely. Why he never got an Emmy nomination remains a mystery. Andrew dealt with prejudice, an estranged father and church politics - but none of them quite upended his life like one Marty Saybrooke. She truly was his cross to bear for a few years. Still, after all she did to torpedo his reputation, his ministry and his relationship with Cassie, he never for a moment doubted that Marty had been raped and became one of her biggest champions. THAT'S great writing and Krimmer sold it every time.
  5. I didn't even think of that, but you're absolutely right. Great catch!!
  6. Recently, I was watching some clips on YouTube from the mid/late 1990s. You don't hear him mentioned much with the great OLTL actors, but Bob Krimmer as Andrew may have been the greatest unsung actor the show ever had. I think he made it look too easy and that's why he was overlooked. I loved the Andrew/Cassie relationship and hated the way Kevin Buchanan was shoehorned into their relationship. (Of course, I hated the way Laura Bonarrigo Koffman was let go shortly thereafter, but that's another post for another day.) I think the key to Andrew's character was that he was a man first and a minister second. He was flawed, but we could see why he was so loved and trusted by the Llanview populace.
  7. Thanks for passing along that article. Ms. Taylor passed in 2004. Her son is a rapper who goes by the stage name Evidence. Look him up; he has done some interesting interviews.
  8. Good!! Let's hope this keeps up.
  9. Anything's possible. I have never been able to find any interviews with Rosemary Forsyth, so I wonder what her impressions were of her short time on SB.
  10. I personally like this print promo from early 1985. This really was a suspenseful story and it was performed well.
  11. I wonder why. Was a reason ever given? Did SB want Judith McConnell all along but she wasn't available right away? Did Rosemary Forsyth just not work out? In any case, I'm glad we got JM. Still, it would have been interesting to see RF with Jed Allan, as both of them were on DAYS at the same time in the late 70s.
  12. Yes. Now more than ever, your vote matters. Don't let anyone say otherwise.
  13. If you aren't moved by the ineligible to be vaccinated kids catching coronavirus (due to the selfishness of the adults, elected and otherwise) - you have no heart. 😡😡😡😡😡
  14. He wants to run for president in 2024. What's going to be his slogan? "Because killing Florida's constituents just wasn't enough?" 😡😡😡😡😡
  15. ^ Wow, thanks for finding and posting those treasures!!
  16. it is indeed a shame. It's infuriating that not only Cuomo but other governors like Deathsantis, ahem, DeSantis out of Florida are alleged to have fudged the numbers. It's sickening. 😡😡😡😡😡
  17. Yes, she was. Sophia made many questionable decisions, but her love for her children (and CC) was never in doubt.
  18. Agreed 100%.
  19. Fair enough. Hopefully once Cuomo's out, he'll become obsolete.
  20. We never saw Rosemary Forsyth's Sophia out of her Dominic getup, did we? Was there ever any explanation of the recast?
  21. Yes, and Ana.
  22. I think the apple fell far, far away from the tree in this case. 🙄
  23. I get what you are saying, but I believe he's so egotistical that he'd run again for some kind of public office. What I can't take is the sheer hypocrisy from the right. I personally know people who are roasting Cuomo on a spit while lauding T**** for the exact same behavior. As someone who has endured both sexual abuse and victim shaming because of it, I feel very sensitive about this story...even more so because these slimy creeps will never serve any time, which is why civil court is the accusers' only recourse. I am glad that some of them are taking that step and I hope they win.
