  1. Yup, and every time they looked at each other we had to hear that "Me Loving You Loving Me" song. 🙄😝🤣😂
  2. Yes, Gracie Harrison took over the role of Greta in spring 1980 when Jennifer Houlton left for college. I actually wrote to Gracie and she said it was a conscious decision on the show's part to age up Greta a few years. I guess they changed their minds, because Gracie was let go in 1981 and Greta was recast with Lori-Nan Engler, who was 19 at the time. Both are now essentially retired from show biz, though Lori-Nan has done some community theater in her hometown of Philadelphia.
  3. Was the Madeline character meant to be so annoying? Terry Davis had had a successful turn as a heroine on EDGE (and a less successful heroine role on AW). I think SB was her final regular soap role, but I could be wrong.
  4. If you or anyone else is interested in reading it, here's the link to Part 1 (they link up the rest): https://www.welovesoaps.net/2015/08/Steven-Rachel-Alice-1.html?m=1
  5. Any way you look at it, the real losers here are the Afghan women and girls. I actually first heard of their plight pre-9/11 on the Tonight Show from Mavis Leno (Jay's wife). To think the hope they've had and the progress they've earned was just a mirage...my heart is absolutely breaking for them. 😢😡💔
  6. if there's anything I've learned, especially in this past year - never underestimate the power of stupidity.
  7. That's awesome. Good for her. 😎😊
  8. Good grief. 🙄

  10. That would have been awesome. 🤣😂
  11. Here are Peaches and Herb ("Shake Your Groove Thing", "Reunited") on the show in 1981:
  12. I wonder if this experience soured Virginia Dwyer on acting for good. I've never seen any post-AW credits for her. There were still plenty of NYC-based soaps going on then - I wonder if any of them offered her a job. I guess we'll never know.
  13. Thanks for the heads-up!! It seems the Baby Elan plot was dropped all of a sudden for whatever reason.
  14. I've always wondered why C-P never produced more soaps. Wasn't TD their only soap?
  15. I wonder if they were already planning on bringing back Scotty and that's the main reason why Lee was brought back. Obviously, the move paid off many times over.
  16. I don't know if all Americans don't care. I think a lot of Americans are just numb from COVID-19, the insurrection and the insane conspiracies about the election...
  17. It's past time Alan did a full-on SB show. As far as I know, he's had solo episodes with A and Nic Coster. He had Mark Arnold on as part of another cast reunion (OLTL). I don't think he'd be able to get Robin Wright (😉), but surely there would be other willing alums to come on for an SB reunion show.
  18. I didn't see any other credits post-GH, so maybe she did retire. She made one more appearance on the show in 1982, and passed in 1986.
  19. What do you all make of this? I don't know if it's illegal, but it sure seems unethical. He's always struck me as slimy, so I don't know if anyone is surprised. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2021/08/12/rand-pauls-wife-bought-shares-in-covid-treatment-maker-gilead-as-virus-spread.html
  20. That's a shame. I guess I always thought that Miss Wall retired.
  21. I'm still surprised that Seasons 3-6 still have not gotten an official release. Is DVD On Demand still around?
  22. Thanks. I did see her in a TJ Hooker episode from 1985 (post-SFT and pre-KL). She played a rape victim and was very convincing in the part. Maybe KL was where she became well-known on her own merits as an actress and not 1/4 of The Mamas & Papas.
  23. I've heard the same thing. I even read the "complete" history of the Alice/Steve/Rachel triangle on We Love Soaps and it was engrossing. I can only imagine what it was like actually acted out on screen.
