  1. It's just too bad they couldn't have found middle ground. They were all talented in their own way, and the show could only have been better had they worked together. Then again, was the show itself better when Reinholt/Courtney left? That was before my time and I really can't gauge their popularity from the few clips of them available on YouTube.
  2. Isn't he an anti-vaxxer? Maybe he was who NLG was referring to in the tweet above. Ouch. 😳😝😂
  3. No, he's not. The Ah-nold also had some harsh words for the anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers: https://people.com/health/arnold-schwarzenegger-tells-people-who-refuse-to-get-vaccinated-or-mask-youre-a-schmuck/
  4. If I had my way, they'd all be arrested and charged with criminally negligent homicide. They all have blood on their hands. 😡😡😡😡
  5. I remember their AW stint well, but I'm not as familiar with their work on other shows. Where do you think they did their best and worst work?
  6. Wasn't Audrey's sister Lucille still around at that point?
  7. Your post is exactly what I was trying to say, especially about the arrogance and gigantic ego. I imagine if Lemay/Rauch didn't like you or your character, AW had to be a very tough place to work.
  8. I didn't even know he had a podcast. Thanks for the link.
  9. Why is MyPillow Guy still allowed to wander around free? People have been sent to mental wards for much, much less.
  10. Did anyone watch A's chat on The Locher Room yet? Any good?
  11. Was their first soap Texas? Carolyn was billed then with both her maiden name and married surname - "DeMoney Culliton".
  12. Those tweets remind me of a "Letter to the Editor" published just last week.
  13. Exactly! I don't think it would have been too hard or too much to ask. I've always been intrigued by her real life marriage to Jeffrey Hunter which ended so tragically just months after their wedding. She had some pretty heavy story on GH at the same time. Wow.
  14. That's the one!! I'm sure Liz was taking out her frustration in the story with that screaming!!!
  15. Yes, and she ate up the show for months!
  16. It's awful that Emily/Jessie didn't even get a tribute episode back then. My great-grandparents watched GH in the 1960s into the 70s, and loved Jessie in particular. It's my understanding that Emily McLaughlin had serious health problems in the last couple of decades of her life, which played no small part in Jessie fading from prominence. Still, how hard would it have been for GH to put together a tribute episode for her after all she did for the show in its early years?
  17. That's the part that really touches me. I first heard about the plight of the Afghan women in 1997, of by all people, Mavis Leno (Jay's wife). She's been on CNN and elsewhere over the years to help these women. It would be a shame and also infuriating if all those efforts ultimately came to naught.
  18. Ouch. Sounds like sour grapes. As good a writer as he was, he did seem petty at times - and he made it clear he had pets. It's obvious Jacquie Courtney wasn't one of them for whatever reason.
  19. Exactly. He was also a perfect foil to Lane Davies as Mason.
  20. How long did Alice's breakdown story last, anyway?
  21. Yes, he was! I can't see anyone in the role besides John Pleshette. He was perfect!!
  22. I've never seen the show, but David Hofstede's excellent book What Were They Thinking? dedicates a page to it entitled "ABC's Survivors Voted Off the Network". 😂 The book is a lot of fun, and also acknowledges other infamous moments in primetime soap history like the Fallon switch and (of course) Bobby Ewing in the shower. Here's the cover:
