  1. She was the personification of grace, elegance and class. I still crack up at the scene at the courthouse when Jill and Seneca are going to get married. The little boy playing Edmund calls for "Nancy" over and over. Obviously they were on a budget and couldn't retape the scene, so they had to continue. I found it adorable. ☺❤
  2. It's great to hear that. This was not a soap for everyone's tastes, and I along with many others are still disgusted by how cavalierly issues like rape were treated. Still, Passions carved out its own unique niche in the world of soaps. I truly think the beginning of the end was the tragic loss of Josh Ryan Evans. He took with him much of the heart of the show. Tabitha (and by extension, Juliet Mills) certainly was never the same without her favorite sidekick. Am I the only one who feels this way?
  3. PPW had a lot of warmth as an actress, no matter what role she was in. ❤
  4. That's too funny. 😂 Kim Zimmer will be showing up on Retro TV's reruns of The Doctors as the third Nola Dancy Aldrich very soon. Right now, the rerun cycle is in mid-June 1979. KZ comes in in either July or August.
  5. Do any of you know when Rod Arrants' last airdate was as Travis? I know it was in 1984, but that's about it. Thanks in advance.
  6. I thought the pairing of CC/Santana under Paul Burke and Ava Lazar was nauseating - especially their bed scenes. He looked like her grandfather. 😳
  7. I think it was Gerry Waggett's AW trivia book that said when Jensen's contract came up for renewal in 1994, she'd stay only if she could just play Vicky. Thus Marley moved to China to work with orphans (or something like that).
  8. It was a real kick seeing a pre-Home Improvement Patricia Richardson playing a nurse a few weeks back. ☺❤
  9. I don't know why I'm always surprised by things like this. Hopefully, he'll get the judge who will toss him permanently into a dungeon and throw away the key!! https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/01/08/us/weinstein-phone-judge-recusal-request/index.html?fbclid=IwAR31kH1pWEaPHWzjxfF4eqLSm0yv3GdfK5mMOkI7UnUIz7WTybxJpmJGusw
  10. Beautifully said!! I also loved when Alan took over the reading of the Christmas story after Steve Hardy's (and John Beradino's) passing.
  11. Not the brightest bulb in the chandelier, that one.
  12. Knowing what we know about Moonves, I doubt it.
  13. So am I. I think she did one or two indie movies in the mid-1980s, but her show biz career basically ended after she left ATWT.
  14. Thank goodness JER never got near TD. What a scary thought. Glenn Corbett made a short-lived return to the show around late May/early June 1979, which should be coming up very soon in the rerun cycle. He returned to TD full-time the following summer.
  15. She was also absolutely chilling in a L&O episode from 1994 entitled "Pride and Joy". She played a meek and enabling mother to a highly volatile teenage son who ended up killing her husband. May she RIP.
  16. One of Lionel's cellmates in the 1984 Christmas episode was played by none other than Jack Riley - best known to classic TV fans as Mr. Carlin on The Bob Newhart Show.
  17. If they were, it wouldn't surprise me. The Christmas episodes really gave the SB staff a chance to really be creative and fun.
  18. For what it's worth, a mustache-less Tom did play Kelly's (Jaclyn) boyfriend in a first season episode of Charlie's Angels ("Target: Angels" is the title of that episode). I think Mr. Bell himself admitted as much years later!
  19. Cool! I may have to try them someday.
  20. Good point. Maybe if she'd had a solid co-writer, things could have been different.
  21. SB had some really fun Christmas episodes. My personal favorites were Mason's dream that cast him as Scrooge in an homage to A Christmas Carol, and a pregnant Eden and Cruz filling in for an ailing Santa Claus and delivering gifts on his sleigh. It was nice to deviate from all the drama for the day and just enjoy the proceedings.
  22. I look forward to watching those scenes.
  23. Or when one half of the couple has left and magic doesn't strike again for the half of the couple left behind (see Eden and Cruz, SB).
