Definitely!! They killed it on the dance floor at Kelly and Joe's wedding reception to Jeffrey Osborne's "Borderlines". That was February 1985, and their first dance on the show. Kari Wuhrer sued GH/ABC for being fired due to her pregnancy under JFP's watch. That case was settled out of court, IIRC. I didn't know that MW said anything negative about JFP while on GL. They had such success together on SB, so GL must have been a bad experience.

The word on the street was that this Doreen story would involve Jason and Nola. However, Glenn Corbett quit the show suddenly and Carolee and Steve were inserted into this plot instead. It might have been better to drop the story altogether after GC left. However, at least TD didn't make this plot or victimization of Carolee anything other than it was, unlike a story that aired later the same year on rival soap GH - the rape of Laura. At least Carolee didn't leave Steve to marry Doreen's evil henchman Mel.

My dad would go along in a heartbeat (it's #1 on his travel list).
