  1. It's so funny seeing MJF have a crush on Kate, when her daughter Nancy would play his mom a few years later on Family Ties. 😉
  2. The noon news on WEWS stayed a full hour until 2011. It was cut back to half an hour again when RightThisMinute (ugh) was put in the 12:30 slot, where it's been ever since.
  3. I'm still stunned that the remaining seasons haven't gotten a manufactured on demand DVD release.
  4. HA! No, it's actually the final book in a three book series. The first one was called A Place in His Heart.
  5. A lot of the soap people did back then. Maybe I'm biased because I grew up during the 1980s, but a lot of awesome music came out during that decade.
  6. Yes. Lynne is Brooke's older sister.
  7. The word on the street was that this Doreen story would involve Jason and Nola. However, Glenn Corbett quit the show suddenly and Carolee and Steve were inserted into this plot instead. It might have been better to drop the story altogether after GC left. However, at least TD didn't make this plot or victimization of Carolee anything other than it was, unlike a story that aired later the same year on rival soap GH - the rape of Laura. At least Carolee didn't leave Steve to marry Doreen's evil henchman Mel.
  8. My dad would go along in a heartbeat (it's #1 on his travel list).
  9. From what I understand, they were on a shoestring budget so they may not have even tried. It's too bad because I've always liked "Nobody Loves Me Like You Do" (not only Whitney and Jermaine's version, but the country rendition by Anne Murray and Dave Loggins).
  10. Did anyone else watch/like Alex Trebek's version of Classic Concentration? I used to like watching that one with Grandma. ❤
  11. Here's an interesting bit of trivia. Elmon Webb was the show's art director. His marriage provided the show with the name of one of its families, and the full name of its matriarch. https://www.nytimes.com/1969/08/16/archives/virginia-dancy-teacher-wed-to-elmon-webb-set-designer.html?fbclid=IwAR19mZysJMAjWfITM5yNqEuk2pmW9rcUk_qrtCWMRpybIfY-k-5-A7xgqrY
  12. I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up yet: https://www.npr.org/2019/10/30/774838950/jeffrey-epstein-case-expert-hired-by-his-family-suggests-doubt-on-suicide-findin
  13. I hadn't heard that. I have no idea.
  14. That sounds interesting. 😎
  15. WEWS Channel 5, the ABC affiliate in Cleveland, did air PC for its entirety. PC aired at 12:30, right after the local news. After the series finale, the noon news went from half an hour to a full hour.
  16. So do I...especially in the case of Theresa. She was a codependent mess. Those are great ideas. I think a big problem was keeping people in the same stories with the same scene partners year after year. Shaking things up a little would have helped.
  17. You're welcome! She was great and didn't deserve what she got from JFP.
  18. PC did air on Cleveland's ABC affiliate (WEWS Channel 5) for its duration. However, EDGE did not air in Cleveland when the show switched from CBS to ABC in 1975. It did, however, air in the Akron/Canton market.
  19. What a great photo. I never saw Heche's Vicky with Ryan, only Buchanan's. Did Heche or Buchanan have more chemistry with PMV?
  20. Thank you very much!! ☺ Yes, WKYC still serves as the NBC affiliate for both Cleveland and Akron.
  21. The show had a good premise, she had some good ideas and the cast was filled with both seasoned vets and talented up and comers. It's a shame that there weren't more behind-the-scenes people to stabilize things, and that the show itself was the victim of bad timing. I still wish Unsung Hollywood would dedicate an episode to this show.
  22. Good point. 😂 Both on this show and DAYS, JER wrote pretty much every male character to have the IQ of a turnip.
