  1. I have to wonder if anyone at ABCD back then thought that this was a bad idea, or if anyone objected. Didn't anyone consider what type of message they were sending?
  2. How were Clarice and Larry written out? Did Gail Brown and Rick Porter chose to leave or were they fired? (I know they both came back for Mac Cory's funeral in 1989, and she came back for Ada Hobson's funeral in 1993.)
  3. Also: Jennifer Houlton became a writer, and has also directed and produced several short films. Frank Telfer was one of Jay Leno's stock performers on The Tonight Show for many years, appearing in many sketches as various politicians. Jada Rowland became a full-time painter and children's book illustrator.
  4. From Daylight TV Yearbook 1978-79:
  5. Would it have been so hard to come up with a name that doesn't rhyme with a slang term for vomit? Camille was played by Schuyler Grant, fondly known to me and many others as Diana Barry in the Anne of Green Gables movies. She deserved better than what she got from AMC.
  6. Not to mention Luke before them.
  7. Sheryl was sexually abused as a child and then raped as an adult, and has always been very open on the subject when it comes up. She is absolutely right about grooming.
  8. They need to bottle it up and sell it!!
  9. Do you all think the show would have survived (at least for five years) if not for all the preemption?
  10. I feel the ladies of The Talk were totally on point when the topic of Lauer came up on yesterday's show.
  11. We can only hope we never see Lauer on our screens ever again!!
  12. Don't forget "will his career boomerang on him?" GROAN.
  13. Philip English interview, Rona Barrett's TV Daytimers Magazine, March 1979:
  14. Kathy Glass' first episode as MJ #3 aired today.
  15. Petronia also was great on The Doctors in from April to December 1977. Black female doctors were a rare breed on daytime then (and sadly, still are). She gives every role grace, warmth, intelligence and poise. Here she is as TD's Dr. Jesse Rawlings:
  16. This literally made me sick - and I have no sympathy for the idiot woman who married him anyway!!! 😠😠😠😠😠 https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/videos/us/2019/10/08/groom-assault-bridesmaid-wedding-mh-orig.cnn
  17. Now that's awesome. God bless him!!
  18. From Afternoon TV Yearbook 1979 (inexplicably David O'Brien was left out):
  19. Yeah, Taylor Miller had two strikes against her going in - she wasn't Mary Page Keller, and she was too closely identified with AMC's Nina Cortlandt Warner.
