Petronia also was great on The Doctors in from April to December 1977. Black female doctors were a rare breed on daytime then (and sadly, still are). She gives every role grace, warmth, intelligence and poise. Here she is as TD's Dr. Jesse Rawlings:

Yeah, Taylor Miller had two strikes against her going in - she wasn't Mary Page Keller, and she was too closely identified with AMC's Nina Cortlandt Warner.
