  1. Here we go again. 😠😠😠😠😠
  2. Yes, they were written out as going on an extended tour of the Orient. Supposedly, Barbara Bel Geddes wanted to retire from acting for good.
  3. Thanks! That really is going way back.
  4. The only thing I can think of is management thought the situation would escalate, and wanted to nip it in the bud. I'm surprised that none of the "hecklers" spit in his food. I sure would have been tempted to!
  5. Yeah, what was the point of that story? Did Linda Evans want to play an antagonist for once?
  6. I came across this great behind the scenes photo from the early days. I don't know who the other actors are with Ellen Holly (Carla).
  7. I think Will Patton (Kentucky) wanted to leave, so Liza ended up in a triangle with Sunny and Hogan. He still acts, and has a prolific career as an audiobook narrator.
  8. No, @Khan, not you. Never you. I have the thread-ruiner on ignore but somehow that still doesn't seem to help. Are the mods asleep?
  9. True, and what if they hadn't been able to get Barbara Bel Geddes back? Donna Reed passed on in early 1986, and I doubt they would wanted to recast again. Larry Harman may have been the star of the show, but the Ewing parents proved to be irreplaceable.
  10. Agreed! Why "fix" something that isn't broken?
  11. OK, that all makes sense then. The show never had the kind of ratings again pre-Moldavia, did they?
  12. I give her and the others all the credit in the world for standing up to that creep. Just too bad it was them and not him to be kicked out.
  13. I think they were on the verge of SORASing Brandon when the show was cancelled. He had been sent off to school out of town a couple of months before the series finale. Agreed that the show never quite seemed to find the right balance in the Santana/Brandon parent/child dynamic.
  14. Great, you've ruined this thread like all the others. Thanks a lot.
  15. It was the most pointless firing in my history of soap watching. Even sadder was that CG never landed another soap, despite auditioning for several.
  16. My mom and I were having a discussion this afternoon on this subject. We think these rich and/or famous should be subject to normal people house arrest. They would be sentenced to an abode in non-glamorous parts of the USA, the abode would be less than 11,000 feet, no maids, nannies or personal chefs, and they would live with a family full of extremely active kids and/or pets. The criminal would cook, clean and babysit for the frazzled parents. In short - I sentence Lori Loughlin to a term at my sister's house in the suburbs of Cleveland!!! Case closed. 😉😂
  17. Harvey the Pervert is back in the news: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.hollywoodreporter.com/amp/news/why-is-harvey-weinstein-hiding-1249984 https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vox.com/platform/amp/culture/2019/10/25/20932084/harvey-weinstein-comeback-actors-hour-downtime-bar
  18. From what I could find out, Carrington Garland was born 1/27/1964 and Robin Wright was born 4/8/1966.
  19. Patricia Hayling (now Patricia Hayling Price), seen in Retro TV's rerun cycle on The Doctors as Bettina Chambers (beginning in December 1978), went from the show business world to the corporate business world. She worked for IBM before starting her own talent development and consulting firm. https://liveworkstrategize.com/about-us/
  20. Susannah. Was she born on AW or Somerset?
