If they do another virtual reunion, I'd like to see more cast members from the 1970s onwards . For example - Michael Storm, Tony Call, Shelly Burch, Dorian Lopinto, Laura Bonarrigo, Susan Haskell, Susan Batten, John Loprieno, Brynn Thayer, etc.

I guess they called Terri Eoff right away so Ghost Suzi could be in the finale!! 😉

What was the point of killing Suzi off so close to the end of the show? Had they already decided to do it before they got the cancellation notice?

Thanks. It makes sense now, in a convoluted soap way. 😉 I finally got to see the episodes from 1984 that were posted a couple of pages back. Very moving (except for the annoying redhead who was forever panting over Cagney). It's easy to see why then-15-year-old Jane Krakowski became a star. Even though she's mostly known for comedy these days, she had true dramatic chops as TR, the lonely presumed orphan who finds the parents of her dreams in Liza and Travis Sentell. When her dream of an ideal father literally explodes in her face, you genuinely feel for her. I'm not surprised that she got two Emmy nominations for her work. It was so sad seeing Rod Arrants/Travis leave. The graveside service in the pouring rain was a great scene - beautifully done by both the cast and crew. Sherry Mathis played all the right beats of Liza's grief, dignity and resilience. My favorite moment came when Liza lay in the muddy ground in pouring rain following the plane crash, wanting to give up and be with Travis. Then she hears the sound of a baby crying, and gradually sees the faces of her children. Then she declares that she can't give up because they still need her, rising from the mud to go off and find help. Other than that, I found most of the rest of the material to be hit or miss. They never did find the right actor for Lloyd Kendall, did they? Did they kill him off or did he just leave town in 1986? Who exactly was Cord Tourneur and what was his story? Were Sunny and Hogan a popular couple at the time? It seems to me they should have been endgame. Was Martin divorced from Jo by this time? Thank goodness John Aniston landed Victor Kiriakis the next year and could drop that ridiculous Southern accent.

Yup, she's also stated that on social media over the years. I'd love to know exactly what happened behind the scenes that led to the demise of Luis and Sheridan.

Yes, he had the unenviable task of taking the HW reins from Harding Lemay on AW. That alone would be a long discussion. He and Millee Taggart also teamed up as HWs on RH.

I'm still looking for the episode from 1984 where Cagney is searching for Suzi and Liza and Stu try to comfort Sunny after the fallout from her assault by Jack Benton hits the papers. This was also right about the time Maree Cheatham was leaving and Louise Shaffer took over as Stephanie. Speaking of Stephanie, was it ever explained how she went from a nurse to running a TV station? I never have been able to find out.

Did either Fran Sears or Haidee Granger ever work in daytime before or after LOVING? The entire history of LOVING/THE CITY would make a fascinating book. I think she was 30 or so by then. Andrea Evans was also over 30 when nominated in the Ingenue category in 1988. I don't know when 25 was made the age limit for the Younger categories, but it was the right call.

I didn't know she was on TD until now, but she did replace Rita McLaughlin Walter as Wendy on TSS. According to the book Rita wrote with her husband (Rev. Norman Walter), Julie was brought in because the higher ups found her more "worldly". Of course, Rita landed ATWT a few years later in a role more suited to her strengths. I actually never saw Danielle on GH, but I thought she was great in La Bamba. She now works as a writer and producer for the family production company. Back to TD, I hope some pre-1967 episodes are eventually unearthed. I'm curious to see how the show was as an anthology.

You couldn't have gone wrong with any of those ladies winning. I too would have liked to see Robin Wright win at least once (I believe she was nominated three times for SB). She gave what was often a thankless role as Kelly Capwell real gravitas.

😂😂😂😂😂 Yup - and it's a treat seeing her now as the English teacher on Young Sheldon. Levin (and Cherrill as well) was also amongst the writers Grover had as HW of TD.

As a healthcare worker, I would like to get a few things off my chest. I work for a caregiving company here in Ohio, and the lion's share of our work is in the homes of elderly and/or infirm (though we also help some clients in assisted living facilities). We have to ration and reuse masks and vinyl gloves, because like everywhere else there are shortages. What a fine thing outsourcing turned out to be, right? 😠 I have no earthly idea why store clerks and food workers at the restaurants (both carry-out and drive-thrus) are not wearing masks and gloves. You're definitely not six feet away from the clerk once you reach the head of the line/window. At least the clerks at the post office are wearing PPE (probably because they learned extensive safety protocol following the anthrax attacks of 2001). Still, I'm the angriest about the mixed messages the President is sending by his "do as I say, not as I do" attitude. At least the governor, lieutenant governor and director of health here in Ohio are all positioned six or more feet away from each other in their daily press briefings. The governor has held up the cloth masks made by his wife that he wears out in public, save for the daily conferences to the press. Meanwhile, Trump and company are all squished together in his press conferences to the nation, no masks in sight. I had to stop watching them because I didn't want to throw a shoe through the TV!!! 😡😠

What's nice is that this season has profiled more "old school" artists - Billy Paul, Betty Wright and Shirley Murdock. I believe Al Jarreau's profile is the next new episode. Too bad they didn't do that one earlier when he was still with us.
