BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos
OMG!! The music. The camera angles. The model hair toss. And the Grande Dame. I saw that extended trailer and ooo. LOVED it. So much intrigues. Dani's man oozes power and menace...a match for KM's Dani's manic energy. 'Don't try me.' Indeed. And whoever wrote 'And now you have to deal with the inconvenient consequences. You see how that works.' (and Daphne's delivery of it-superb) has a fan in me. That miss that kind of dialogue. And there's also a secret and attempted murder...a wedding where the crowd wore black...AND extended family members, too. So ready!!!! IKR. Watching it a few times as I type. lol. My body is ready.

lol. You would know better than I. My system crashed last Sunday so I'm sure I might have missed some episodes. I think my last episodes was the Damian reveal last Monday (sidenote-does anyone know if they followed up on the reveal that week?) and then the mundane Thursday/Friday episodes. I would totally say skip last Friday outright. I only watched Tuesday of this week so far and yes, I have been enjoying how HE has been playing her psycho version of Claire again for sure. From some of the comments here and a slight spoiler, this week sounds like it's going to be a good one.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
NY I have to give credit where credit is due. I think we all know how I feel about Eric Fuller and how his hand in RHOA and RHOP led to some of its decline. And his hand in this season of NY wasn't much better...cuz a whole episode around a prank and the backlash is not a good look at all. However, Ubah vs Brynn has been set up throughout the season. Because you saw Ubah being open to the point where she could not tolerate lies (all the stuff about pigeons). Meanwhile, you saw Brynn over the season have trouble with the concept of 'the truth' and how the other ladies just shrugged it off. Only for the finale to happen. And? Yes, THAT was a doozy. And the show has taken a turn. On the good side, well...it has buzz. Which in the world of soaps...is better than indifference to what's going on. On the bad side...it has mostly been bad. I have been leaning toward Team Ubah most of the season. What helped her case with me this season was that she was being pretty open this year versus last year. She still had her moments, but I understood. And it was clear that Brynn has been trying to use microaggressions against her to make her snap before this trip. And she was poking her on this trip. So I was for Ubah (and to a lesser extent Jessel) getting her all the way together. But for Brynn to turn around and play victim when Ubah bended to peer pressure and tried to work it out already irked me. But when she went to the other ladies and said that Ubah knew she had been raped and still said things like that to her...knowing that Ubah has a language barrier issue and it was the same issue Erin had with Ubah an episode ago...was shocking. And you saw how it colored all of the ladies' perspective, too. That was not only chilling, but telling. Raquel's only slip with me tbh. I liked that Erin gave the benefit of the doubt, but the last few episodes was still in her head. Jenna...smh. Thank God for Jessel for being a real friend and letting Ubah know what was up. And that explosion? Deserved. And then Brynn revealed she lied on Ubah. The optics of doing that. The optics of her...as a black woman...doing that to ANOTHER black woman. And the other ladies opening their eyes to her. Not to mention that whole next morning where Brynn was just chilling with Production. Just wooooow. That was a LOT to unpack. I was happy to have the scene with Ubah/Jessel and the ladies after Brynn left. Poor Ubah. Accountability has to be taken. And I am counting down the days to the reunion where it already looks like all the ladies are coming for Brynn. Because that was dark. But...I do want to see what happens now. So buzz for this reboot...finally gotten. ERIN. I didn't like how she was at the start of the episode. And still trying to gaslight Jessel and Sai. And it said something for her that she was so willing to go along with Brynn's lie. And for someone that wants to be Ubah's friend, she was not giving her the heads-up. But still, I liked she gave the benefit of the doubt. And then that final scene on the trip when they saw Ubah after the fact...just smh. JENNA. Too little, too late. She should feel guilty for being all ready to be Team Brynn only to be wrong. I just did not like her at all. RAQUEL. Perhaps I was not as harsh on her is because she's new. And I felt all of her reactions were genuine. Even though she immediately backed Brynn and threw off an air of being mad at Ubah, it was her Confessional for me. When she found out Brynn lied. That anger WAS real. Like she had experience with people giving false statements. SAI. Disappointed that she didn't jump to Ubah's side quickly. But her Confessionals on the other hand....she was clocking Brynn left and right. And YES. There's not clocking something vs saying someone knew something (when they don't). Her side-eye game was on point. JESSEL. A real one. I loved that when Brynn said her lie, she went ahead and told Ubah what was said. And when the explosion happened and Production sent Ubah to a hotel, she went with her. A real friend. Most of this season I have liked the mini-friend groups, and my favorite was Ubah/Sai/Jessel. Jessel had been mostly absent from that group in the second half of the season, but she came through here. UBAH. I liked she clocked the optics when she got back to the house. As a black person, there's nothing like being accused of something you didn't do or know. And when you are a well off or successful black person, you always have to be so careful of your image. Because no matter how you present yourself, people still have that 'angry black person' stereotype in your head. And because of that knowledge, some people will try to trigger you and poke at you. And Ubah can be abrasive, but there was no reason she deserved what happened to her at all. And that scream she let out when Jessel told her what Brynn said. I can still hear it in my head. She had every right to go off on Brynn. And I found it telling that Producers were trying to hold her back and policing her while they babied Brynn. Uhhhh no. And then her crying on the couch and not wanting to be touched...I got this and it was sooo sad to watch. And that it was from one of her own...just smh. And I loved she is still enough of a professional to go to the cast pictures. And that she held up her boundaries. Sometimes you need that with people with nasty spirits who you know mean you harm. BRYNN. That second season curse. I liked her last season. But I came out of this episode thinking...that girl is CRAZY. I mean...how? Why? Not even trying to correct her clear mistake. And that new morning was creepy AF because she was the first one up and chilling with the Producers. Why? I mean...she won't be beating those allegations that trigger her when she's being seen like that. And rather than keep it real and confront it all...she ran away??? Only to come to the cast shoot and heavily play victim. And while part of me did think 'so Aquarius', it was not a good look for her. What she did was dangerous, and she needs to be held accountable. Thankfully the reunion is around the corner. And I'm here for Brynn getting each and every one of her lashings. The season though...? Not as good as their first. They did so many missteps overall. And no more pranks going forward. And sadly, they do have lightning in the bottle because EVERYONE is talking about how crazy this episode was. And a lot of people want to see Brynn get them lashings. But...everyone is interested. EVERYONE.

Definitely her over Giggly Heffa any day of the week. And even with that, I can't think of a Nick pairing that I felt could have gone the distance outside of her and Sharon. I mean has he another pairing that has stood the test of time like those two? And this is coming from someone who didn't like the idea of Nick/Sally but watching it play out (and the fact that JM put in outside of work gym time and it showed), I didn't mind it at all. I agree. There's been so many teases with them that I've lost count. But I'm used to them getting close and then an abrupt left turn happens.

Cuz Nick is hotter. 😜 And don't forget she was with Jack. Same. IKR!!! I've been saying that since she was introduced. She does not do bland well at all. But psycho is something she can pull off. It is part of the reason I hope she keeps that part of her when the Jordan storyline is over. And yes, Ik...I"m behind. lol.

I never know how to feel when she says something. I always remember hearing so much stuff about her. None of it good.

1-22 Hehe. I loved the cute little Sinn scene. Go on, Finn. Bring Victorian words back. I continue to wonder where Brad is trying to go with this Luna storyline. But I'm still intrigued. I'm just glad to see Li on my screen with her overdramatic a$$. lol. There has always been a gold mine to be mined from her history with Poppy. So I like that it has been played. Also being played and loving it? Seeing Jack. But I love me some Mr. King. That said...I didn't like the look at the coda of this episode between Poppy and Jack. Did they have an affair? Omg! A Liam sighting!!! How long has it been? Wyatt even got a mention. So I take it Luna will be lurking until February Sweeps start?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I didn't like the NY reunion clip where they just talk silly. But I loved the clip where they showed Jessel eating up Brynn again and not accepting no BS apology from her either. No matter who tried to interrupt her and they got checked swiftly. Jessel don't play about her man.

1-21 See? This is much better. Even if it was just an episode focused on one storyline. It went into several layers. The new designer's work stood out so much. Again, I'm loving that everyone was dressed like it was winter. And all the men were dressed in dark clothes and it really stood out. They also only had their jackets on at times that made sense which meant mmmm camera angles. lol. If anything, I feel like the men are either dressing their age or being dressed younger which has been hit or mess. Time keeps on ticking on Sharon. I love that Nick and Chance are on the case. And that their slow way of figuring things out does not feel like it is a stalled storyline (like Cyrus killing folk over on GH). It does feel paced for every clue, every realization. And now they might have found Sharon. Fingers crossed. And then you have Nikki and Victoria worrying about Claire. Not to mention aftereffects. And it's been nice to see them go back to having doubts about Claire. That was a part of the storyline with the reveal of her as Eva I don't mind the writers going back to. I did like the Jordan/Claire scenes for sure. I just feel that HE can do a psycho. lol. So her being more cunning worked for me. I just wish she would keep this edge in the aftermath or there's some aftereffect. Especially if there is going to be a Summer/Kyle/Claire triangle.

1-17 Ooooo....go 'head, Brooke. Walked into Steffy's beachhouse looking like sin and if looks could kill, Taylee would be TOAST. Well, it doesn't look like I missed anything while my system was down. But I was shocked by the fact Tom ISN'T Luna's father. And it's NOT Bill, either. Then who is Luna's father then??? Because I'm sure it's not Jack. But still...Brad is pivoting Luna off, is he? I was so annoyed at Taylee flaunting her relationship with Ridge in Brooke's face. And now Ridge hung up on Brooke, too? Well, fine. Brooke can do better ANYWAY.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I believe my last season of BH was Kathy roasting Ex Soap Opera Star and EricFake over an open reunion fire. And then...I bowed out because I got tired of Kyle's favoritism with Production which I still feel play a part in Crystal leaving because that feud was literally right there and was edited out (along with anything of interest with Crystal from what I heard). Funny now given how many HW shows have manipulations going on on them now. I see clips here and there. The only thing that would get me back is either LVP appearing or a complete and total takedown of Kyle.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Don't tempt me to watch. 😜 Now that I am more time... Awww. Thank you. Well judging from the reunion trailer...everyone (EVEN JENNA!) look like they are coming for Brynn. I haven't watched last night yet (or RHOP) because my system has been down since Sunday, but I'll probably be watching it today because the backlash against Brynn is A LOT. So I need to see it for myself. Happy you are making it through SLC *cough*DinnerPartyfromHell*cough* but yes, the scene with Robert had the whole audience (including me) in tears when it aired. And just the aftermath from Mary's point of view. I felt so much for her because her reaction are the reactions of a mother and most definitely not fake. You felt that.

1-16 Wow. My system goes down and finally working and they STILL haven't found Sharon yet? lol. But I guess I do love that slowly, but surely the story is heading to a climax. And yay for Chance finding a video to see that someone attacked Sharon from the back. I'm sad that I didn't see how the Claire/Jordan talk went. That said, I am ooooo at Claire suggesting to Nikki and Victoria that they kill Jordan this time. Dare I hope they bring Claire's edge back? Oh STFU BILLY!!! I was Team Daniel on that scene. That said...It surprises me how tolerable Phyllis is when she's in scenes with Billy. But ugh at him wanting payback on Adam. Just whiny Billy. Over it. Disappointed at no sign of the Damian storyline.

Oh Lord, not you bringing the baby switch into it. lol. But I understand. That first week is going to be so full of chatter here and I can't wait for it. MVJ has always been one of my favorite writers to watch so I'm fully in support of her. And just seeing a show with a dominant black family that also has a production that has so many black people working BTS as well. Something that truly inspires me more than I feel I show. And YES. The black audience have always been so unseen and undervalued in terms of how much they support 'the stories.' I've always said that people be sitting on a gold mine given BITD how GREY'S ANATOMY blew up because it had great writing, but tapped that unseen representation. Well, BITD. I feel in my bones that I'm going to be stanning (yep, I said it) Daphnée Duplaix's Dani. I've always liked her work on OLTL. So I can't wait to see her full potential on display. I really need to see that new promo.
