  1. I mean people do seem angry to have to wait a week so who knows how that will motivate folk come next week. Fingers crossed for a good promo. I'm surprised they haven't done that yet at the midweek.
  2. And I would agree with that. And I know I made that VERY clear in the case of Alexa who fit in perfectly from her first frame. And I waxed poetic over her right up until her reunion with Laura. I can still wax poetic on her and her ability to lift up the writing when it irks me. I can say the same for Braedyn (hehe at the Natalia shade) as well. Such a great job of embodying aged-up Emma. I remember feeling like she did study her predecessor. As for Rory...I haven't talked too much him outside of his body but I love the direction he's taken Michael in so far...a direction Michael should have always gone in and definitely should have post-fire, not to mention post-affair reveal. I also agree with Van and Kris V as well. I'm used to them now, but they are so different from Carnes and Pullos. It's Van for me more than Kris. Same. I don't even love to hate her now. I just hate her on my screen. And it's so funny because I liked her and Blaze together. Not I just 'ugh.'
  3. He just give looks. Joking!!!
  4. MY BAD!!! I was saying Emma and Michael when I did the post. HOWEVER, you all are right. GH has been on it with the recast. Add Lulu (especially) and Lucas to that list.
  5. RHOM I finally had some wiggle room so I got time to watch this (and OC, spoiler alarm...incoming thoughts! hehe) past week episode. I was so worried about the Lisa stuff, but it was pretty minimum, but I still had a light cry. Poor her. I really liked it. While the focus was the build to Marysol and Steve's wedding event, I liked that it was pretty easy and breezy with stuff going on. And it was the little things. Kiki and her conversation with her mother over her father. Adriana and Julia sitting down and discussing their friendship. Guerdy talking about her insecurities with herself post-cancer. Marysol's long journey to finding someone. Mother Elsa. Everyone else be making up stories on HW shows for attention. These ladies...just have to be themselves. THEY are the story. Probably why Julia's attempts to be a Heather, Chanel, mean girl stands out so much more. It's fake. It's phony. And she's showing all of her a&* for girls who originally didn't even want her there. So watching her try to bully Guerdy...even after Adriana gave her fair warning...was disgusting to see. And as for the drink throw that I've been waiting to see? And they call GUERDY extra??? After all of that??? After all these ladies have done on this show? Failed attempt. Failed ladies. ALEXIA. She actually came arcross well this episode. Though Production and her friends continued to pick on her for being dogged out by Todd. I liked her doing this for Marysol. That said...I know she's not talking about anyone being extra when she's the QUEEN of EXTRA. GIRL, BYE. LARSA. I can't with her. She finally got back in good with Lisa...under for her to start that mess about Jody at the wedding event. And after Lisa just found out her father died. She has to know Lisa is going to find out. And that is going to be some mess. LISA. Poor Lisa. I felt for her with her father. JULIA. What was she thinking? No wonder Adriana does not want anything to do with her cuz HUNNI WHAT IS THIS? She came across as Karen. And she clearly did not get the hint of microaggression Guerdy threw at her when Guerdy said...what you going to do? touch me? And then the drink toss? DISGUSTING. I was glad Guerdy not only told on her about the facelift, but stayed there and stayed UNBOTHERED. It said it all at the end that Guerdy was having the time of her life while Julia was a total sour face. That's what you get when you aim for trying to be Minion Number 2 when you will always be Minion Number 4. GUERDY. Better woman than me. She might have been snatched up. I cannot believe Julia was trying to play a victim. And worse, I cannot believe the other ladies were just going to buy into that false narrative. I love that Guerdy defended herself. She told the truth. She refused to be pulled out as if she was the one being violent when she was not. She threw shade. She was...UN...BOT..HERED. Come correct next time, babe. FOH. KIKI. Good family scene. But...why are you trying to pull Guerdy out as if she pulled a scene? And why you leave the only black girl there alone? No, ma'am. ADRIANA. Thank you for your little warning to Julia. Even if it fell on deaf ears. I loved she was tic for tac-ing every Julia attempt to play victim at that brunch. MARYSOL. Awww. Still winning. Good episode. Bring on the new housewife!
  6. 6-26 Well I guess I should mostly finish off before the official episode move to the July thread. And this episode...like Wednesday...was an actual Thursday episode. lol. I didn't mind it at all though, and little plots moved a bit, too. Something that I had noticed has been we haven't had any cute Dupree family scenes in a while. Since...karaoke night? So I loved the beautiful surprise of Anita popping into town. Not only do we get to see a family moment again, but I loved seeing TT. I also loved how the writers used Anita's brief visit as a kind of recap episode. And I would ughed about it, but the technique they used to do so was clever to me. Anita got to do a one on one with everyone, so you got to get characters' POV on top of plot recap in case anyone missed it. Now I know I was tagged at one point, but I haven't gone back to reply yet so I hope this will do...especially given this week they are reshowing the premiere week...yes, I agree about Dani/Nicole. In Week 1, there were hints of friction between Dani and Nicole, but the show had not at all followed up on it yet. But that's fine. I loved watching the Dani/Nicole dynamic form slowly, but surely. No matter what has been thrown at them...or when one of them is in the wrong...the Dani/Nicole dynamic looked ready to take on the world in spite of it. So watching the very friction from Week 1 finally show up in current story has been nice to watch. But I've enjoyed all of the fallout from Dani telling Nicole about Andre. Not to mention the shade. And OMG at the Dani/Andre plot unfolding. I was taken aback that Dani out right told Anita about her and Andre. And I was surprised at her allowing it. And good to see Anita going to bat for her with Nicole even if she disagrees in some part. And Anita ain't wrong...better Andre than Bill. And of course, they are consenting adults so none of Nicole's business anyway. Meanwhile, Andre, Andre, Andre. I was shaking my head at him. I knew given how things went down with Derek and Ashley and Ashley's dream, that she was going to start sniffing around him. And...I really don't like it. And his reaction...after all this fight to get Dani to be open...is not sitting well with me. Yes, Nicole's anger is clearly misplaced. But I hope that this means per her talk with Anita, that going forward, she's about to place it where it should be...on Ted, Eva, and ESPECIALLY Silk Press Sheila. I also hope that rumor is true cuz my body is ready. Kat vs Eva is the gift that keeps giving. And I like that the show has started to circle back around to that with Ted trying to mend fences between them. I know that's not happening, but I'm happy to see the coda scene of them having a very brief moment of respect for each other. Martin's Secret was total C plot. And that I don't mind. And good to see Jacob getting Smitty to go directly to Martin to figure out what's going on. It was also nice to see some affection between them. They have come such a long way. And the C plot of Chelesa having a relationship has been nice. She's come a long way from her hair toss. hehe. And I felt the Anita talk was the calm before the storm. Good little episode.
  7. I definitely have been happy to see Emma still around since I did like the recast from Day 1 just off of her vibe and how she really does look like an older Emma. And in spite of the writing, she has emerged as a character to root for. And plus Gio, they have become a couple I like to tune in to see in the young set. So 2 for 2 for recasts go to GH!!
  8. LOL Not THE SHINING!!! But...le sigh. I remember when Y&R would have put up a whole villa. I mean isn't that what they did in the Ashland days?
  9. If anything, it would be impressive if BTG ratings JUMPED next week in response (or out of spite) to the week break.
  10. Coming back to regular viewing I like them all as a young unit, but I wish Trina had more agency outside of Kai. Awww I feel that.
  11. They really are. While I still wouldn't mind Gio leaning Trina's way, I have found them so adorable. Especially since the NB reveal. They are so ride-or-die for each other. And it's good to see that in the young love department. Amen. I ain't got time for Alias. Though I do love that the underlying tension between Emma vs Joss has continued. Hate that, but love the tip.
  12. Well, I knew what you meant, Vee. You have done a great job over the last few months hitting on the head a good description of the mix of styles IMO. I think someone else got their Bell soaps mixed up, however.
  13. 6-26 Outside of the parade of shirtless men and possible friction between Sally and Audra...nothing to see here. smh. I cannot believe that they are playing this whole Cole storyline off-screen.
  14. TBF old school Y&R was NOT plot oriented. Now on the other hand...
  15. Yeeeah Y&R is far from good. But there be some really crazy people on social media. I felt he probably should have chosen his words if he had to say anything more carefully. That said I do like some of the discussions being had around it all. It has given me food for thought.
  16. WHO? Yeah from my catch-up, I was offended that they are giving him the 'Paul Williams is in town somewhere' approach to him not even being in town. Excuse me?
  17. I saw most of it. The backlash has been something else.
  18. I knew you would love to be vindicated so I'm happy we know now. And I'm happy to have a point in time where I will more than likely be as picky as I currently am with Y&R...and it is at the six month point actually. They really do a good job with keeping things quiet. Like right now due to all the discussions about sets, my latest question is...have we officially gone through all the standing sets yet? Because I still feel we have some in waiting, but I'm probably wrong. And I do wonder at the six month point will we start to see redressed sets for example? Cuz yeeeeah, I kinda would like to see Jacob and Naomi's place. OMG YES. While I'm really starting to get used to NuTed and Keith does appear to be making him his own, watching Y&R (and specially Jermaine Rivers) is making me miss the presence that Maurice bought to his role. And Carlton has his own spin on that vein so I hope he turns into a regular or gets used like how Doug is used since the actor is recurring, but has been used nicely as a doctor, but with his own storyline which was IMHO best developed B storyline so far. tbf, that's not just a Brad Bell thing. GH in my regular viewing has always...especially under RC been the King Queen of that. And I admit...even with the flaws in their logic...at least from GO we know what the main A stories were from Episode 1. Dani/Bill/Hayley, SilkPress, Martin's Secret. And while the pacing of the A plots (other than SilkPress) was annoying, because it was paced the way it was, it allowed for the characters to grow so that the audience could get invested when stuff got moving. Like Martin's Secret. I was annoyed it was on the backburner to the point where it almost fell off, but I can't hate on how much I care now due to them showing Smitty/Martin's life...especially in Month 2. The fighting over Smitty going back to work. Dealing with the kids. Bill toying with the marriage. And NOW Martin's main storyline is blowing up. Bonus...BC got to grow comfortable enough in the role so it was better off it was put on the backburner. Outside of the lack of Nicole up 'til now, I have enjoyed the slow fallout from the anniversary party. They did such a good job of having other storylines set up from the main story that the story parts stay relevant. And I stay liking watching how the writers are trying to find a way to get to Silk Press Sheila out of the corner. Will she wiggle out? I guess we will see. + 1 That's how I feel about them as well. I know I'm in the minority, but I like them though I want to shake Ashley.
  19. Ah! lol. I did!!
  20. Thank you. I have asked (and discussed with @Chris B) this once every few weeks to keep the fact in rotation until something more confirmed has been said so we all can be sure that when we hit the area when feedback should be reflected on screen, it IS a case of the writers ignoring what is being said by the audience vs we have not gotten to the episodes and therefore the audience is not being ignored at all. Chris also, if I'm not mistaken, also placed it around that time roughly. Ain't that the truth! I was happy to see that that is not the only time that I had happened with recasts on a soap either. THIS.
  21. Give it a week and a half.
