B&B: September 2025 Discussion Thread
9-9 Yeah, I was not here for those Ridge/Taylee scenes at all. God bless Rebecca because I don't care for her version of the character and yet I felt for her as she stood there and went off on Ridge though. It even reminded me of KA Taylor for a moment when she chose to run away to the cabin cuz she didn't want to be on the merry-go-round again with him and Brooke. Ridge and his single tear can go to Hades. It's just a shame this show will never do anything more with Taylor other than have her be a joke to that couple. Awww I like they remembered Liam's hacker skills. That said...I don't like the storyline, but I liked the built up to the Will/Luna reveal. I found Will's reaction 'so bad it's good' soap acting. Sorry, not sorry. I do like the writers shading the fact Luna can't go anywhere so she can at least clean or whatnot. Surprisingly decent week so far. I agree. And that is not my ideal body type, but he is not ugly. Perhaps people just miss RJ.

What did Chelesa just say?? Woooow. I feel that though. I've been feeling the same way about social media as of late. OMG!!! YES to a Dani/Vanessa scene! I will always like Doug's rapport with his ex-co-workers. It so gives Richard from Grey's Anatomy and I love that. RANDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know. I see quite a lot now that most definitely was not the case decades ago. I mean...25 is OLD now? Really? When? lol. I am definitely happy that BTG is being good at exploring what's out there for sure. Some of which I would have never thought of as possible when I was young. It might not even be my thing, but it's just nice to see it out there and some idea of open-mindedness. Even in these times.

Yep. Like I said...that moment of weakness is soooo a norm. I'm fine with it because I wanted to see them struggle their way back to each other. And so far, so good.

They usually do, but yes, during Nick's return, Nick mentioned he was working at the Forrester foreign offices and as a designer. He would have rather he be at Marone, but it was what it was. So reading that article and the info about them being attached to a major character made me go hmmm. Or like you, I felt it could be a RJ recast.

Well, I'm all for seeing more Remy and keeping him obsessed was not going to work. Though reading the article, I do wonder who 'Harrison Cane' really is. A recasted RJ? Or better yet...since he was mentioned recently...Brooke and Nick's son?

Exactly!!! I know Vee mentioned the idea of the powerful family that does light and dark things dating all the way back to the 80s (heck, Yellowstone AND GH today comes to mind) has always been a powerful soap template so there has been nothing about the Duprees that irks me nearly as much as it does most of the board. I hope that to please them, the forthcoming second rival family we know will eventually come evens it out for them. LOL!!! Facts.

The Politics Thread
It is. I've been mostly sick this week and online very little and now that I have an off day to be online, it is just everywhere and I honestly don't want to see it. A friend of mine who is opinionated, but has done a great job on his path to self-discovery is being attacked by...nobodies IMO because he dared to say he felt indifferent. He's allowed to and knows the history. Quite a few people do. Yet people (and bots) are under posts saying trite comments as if my friend does not care about kids. Or people are mad because he actually cares about the school shootings more than that man. So a problematic man trumps innocent kids?...GIRL, BYE. I can't with the lack of logic when there are people who have a right to have their own opinion and not like someone who gave concrete (and easy to find receipts for the obtuse) reasons for them to not like said person. You earn respect in life, you don't instantly get it in death. If the obtuse (who aren't immediate family members and can shut up) don't get that, they can scroll on by or block. Simple.

I mean...tbf...I'm sure this does happen more often than people seem to think. I can see it as a moment of weakness...which is a normal human flaw.

ARTICLE: ‘Beyond the Gates’ Casts David Lami Friebe As Izaiah Hawthorne
That is a pretty good question. I am assuming this isn't the Luke brother that is already on the police force which means he's also still out there to be used as well. So what is this brother like? Will he be like early Cristian Vega on OLTL a la a sensitive artistic soul? Someone who did not want to be in the police force like the rest of his family for example?

GH: September 2025 Discussion Thread
I admit that this Curtis/Portia argument is another good verbal knockout, drag-out. And they are acting. I just continue to be perplexed by how Isaish has turned on Jordan so completely like an obsessed man. I kept thinking that perhaps it's because I missed those episodes on my recorder where he turned against her. And as soon as I typed that, here he comes referencing what could have been with Jordan. Perhaps it's the setting and the young age, but Mauro's kinda giving a little bit of a young Nikolas.

The Politics Thread
well, it sure is showing people in new lights...some of which is purely performative while the rest is eye opening. And I don't like that the people who don't care or are indifferent to it for logical reasons are being attacked for it.

Well, I have said that the show has written their characters as shades of gray. And I love that they continue to do so even when some of said people drive me crazy.

Yeah, this show has been great at their foreshadowing for the most part. Same.
