  1. ^ There are still good people. Sometimes it just feels like the bad ones are running amok and getting away with murder. We just have to believe their days are numbered.
  2. ^ Thank the gods.
  3. ^ It is disgusting, but I guess not too surprising. These despicable people are not going to go down without a fight. I think eventually meaningful gun control will happen, but it's going to take a long time and more people dying. If Trump gets a couple more Supreme Court picks we probably won't see it for decades.
  4. Ugh. Let's hope this doesn't happen.
  5. I wonder how long it will take before the first student gets shot by a teacher "in self defense"?
  6. This thread. My goodness the corruption is bottomless. This one involves the tariffs and the UAE.
  7. Not sure what to make of this. I don't follow Texas politics. I guess I was hoping Texas was turning purple at the very least. h https://twitter.com/Nate_Cohn/status/971238645440139269 t tps://twitter.com/Nate_Cohn/status/971238645440139269
  8. Yes. and they need to be held to account. If they get away with it, it will happen again and again in the coming decades.
  9. Me too. If there is a god, may he forgive me for not being a bigger person, but I love watching them go broke. Plus not one of them seems hard enough to stand up to what's coming to them. Don't do the crime, if you don't have a spine. These idiots really thought they could do whatever they wanted even at this level and not have to face the music. Unbelievable! Kushner is the one that stuns me. He saw his father go to jail, he knows it can happen.
  10. Like Vee, I'm over this show. I'll watch someday through streaming, but killing Carl was basically killing the future. Almost everyone from the start is dead. I'm feeling it's all pretty pointless. And yeah, they need to pay the woman. It won't keep me around, but it's only right.
  11. At first I thought this whole thing was funny and exactly what these terrible people deserve, but now I'm concerned this guy has truly cracked and might try to harm himself. I hope he has family watching out for him. Of course, then Mueller has to send the sheriff and force him to give up his info, if he won't go by choice. No mercy on that front.
  12. This is making my day.
  13. Yes. Some try to say that he's kidding. He's not. He's floating these ideas to see what kind of reaction he gets.
  14. Yep. The Bush administration was notorious for these types of corrupt business dealings, but damn if Trump and his pals haven't put them all to shame. It's insane what they are getting away with.
  15. h https://twitter.com/willmauldin/status/969614602727288832 tt https://twitter.com/willmauldin/status/969614602727288832 ps://twitter.com/willmauldin/status/969614602727288832 To the surprise of no one the trade war begins.
  16. Artists without training are called "primitive". I feel like Trump is some kind of primitive fascist. He obviously isn't enough of an intellectual to study how to be a fascist. He's just naturally falling into the role. Let's clean up society no matter how many people we have to kill to do it.
  17. Good point. There are a few decent apples in this corrupt barrel. https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2018/02/jesmyn-ward-mississippi/552500/?utm_source=atltw Until this year I didn't fully realize what hellholes Alabama and Mississippi continue to be. I feel like I've learned so much about our country in the last two years and most of it is awful.
  18. https://shift.newco.co/apples-china-agreement-4e67fa7b38f4 Speaking of China, this is a pretty disturbing development. I wonder how many people will end up in prison thanks to Apple giving the Chinese government this access. I'm not even fully blaming Apple, but I think the point that there are a lot of people in China that don't fully grasp that their info is now available to the government is terrifying.
  19. It's corruption from top to bottom. Ben Carson's scandal is the least of our problems and yet how demoralizing that someone charged with housing the poor would spend $31,000 on a dining set. If there is one normal person in this administration with a conscience, I don't know who it is. At the same time, Sessions is a monster, so it's somewhat amusing to watch Trump destroy his own.
  20. When the lying could send you to prison.
  21. This really is sad. Just a few months ago we were collecting winter clothes for the kids and now I wonder if the program here in Omaha will survive. Then I looked it up and see it's not looking great. http://www.omaha.com/news/nebraska/nebraska-s-recent-refugee-resettlement-numbers-are-as-bad-as/article_993db1c2-bf2f-11e7-b0b2-97f5c2fb55db.html
  22. I really hope so. This is the first time I've felt a real glimmer of hope that things could change.
  23. This story is really sad and goes back to one of your recent posts, Carl. Same sex couple refused as foster parents for refugee children. https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/23/health/lesbian-couple-sues-hhs/index.html
