Ugh, Angelica Nero! I think that was possibly one of the worst stories ever on any of the big primetime soaps. It made absolutely no sense whatsoever, and dragged on for what felt like forever.

He kills the show but he won't kill off any characters.... I wish I could understand what he's thinking. Does he honestly believe this is good writing, or has he stopped caring and is just going through the motion?

On to 1977.... I wonder why the show had such a long break from airing between May 1976 and January 1977. The first episodes from 1977 have clearly been filmed in the summer, so it's a bit of a mystery why the weren't shown during autumn 1976?
