I loved Empty Nest. Kristy's departure didn't bother me that much, because I always loved Dinah Manoff's Carol more. I couldn't stand the third daughter though (Lisa Rieffel). Thankfully she was only around for one season. I wasn't all that keen on Carol's boyfriend (played by Paul Provenza) either, but he was also thankfully shortlived. Obviously the last few seasons weren't as good as the early ones, but as long as Dinah and Park Overall's Laverne were around I was content.

Wow, that's quite a surprise. Quite a different approach from her compared to someone like Federer, who has won so much but seems unable to walk away from tennis. I will miss her, but I wish her all the best.

Not more characters, please! There are too many as it is. We need a good old-fashioned disaster right now to wipe out a large part of the cast (preferably everyone named Dingle and everyone related to a Dingle) and then re-build! If they do that now we could have a good show in place in time for the 50th anniversary....
