^^ I really hope they don't. I don't know what the other shows have been like, but Emmerdale does not deserve any awards at all.

I think a lot of this is because we, the fans, care about these shows and the characters in a way that I don't think the writers and networks do. For them it's a job, a career, a way to bring in money, whereas we form an emotional attachment, especially to shows that last as long as Emmerdale has done. For example, I've had this show in my life, to varying degree, for over 40 years.

I honestly don't know what they were going for, but whatever it was it failed. Unless of course they were going for disgust and repulsion, because in that case they succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. I just can't wrap my mind around the idea that someone, at some time, actually thought this was a good idea....

What the hell is this??!! Who the [!@#$%^&*] came up with this idea, and who thought that it was even remotely funny, in any shape or form. That is [!@#$%^&*] disgusting!! But I should have expected something like this from the absolute morons who are running this show now. I feel sick! I can't even begin to express how disgusted I feel just thinking about it.

One can only hope that when the truth comes out, and it will, and Ridge comes crawling back, Brooke will reject him. And then, when he, as he obviously would do, turns back to Taylor, she rejects him too. I realize that this will never, ever, ever happen on B&B as long as Brad Bell is in charge, but as long as the possibility is there, however minuscule, I will keep dreaming.

Thank you for this! I finally found the time to listen to it. It was great hearing Jane talk about her time on Emmerdale Farm, and I loved the "sibling" reunion with Ian Sharrock. Sad to hear that the people in charge at Emmerdale were so rigid in their attitude towards getting Sandie back occasionally. Finally we also got an answer to the question of why Sandie missed her own brother's funeral....
