  1. Ok, now I'm really mad. They actually used the way Beren and Lúthien met (he saw her dancing in a glade full of flowers) to describe the meeting of Galadriel and Celeborn??!! This is bordering on sacrilegious. Tolkien drew inspiration for that meeting from his real life, from an experience he had with his wife Edith, when she danced for him in a forest glade. And the story of Beren and Lúthien was so close to his heart that those names are engraved next to his and his wife's names on their gravestone for heaven's sake! It had nothing to do with Galadriel and Celeborn.
  2. I won't. Nor will I feel bad for Brooke when Ridge leaves her again. They both deserve it for never learning. Ridge has bounced between them for decades now, and they both constantly take him back whenever he wants. It's beyond pathetic by now.
  3. Has anyone seen the latest episode and can explain how Galadriel and the others survived Mount Doom erupting? I'm sure the explanation is as ridiculous as the rest of this trainwreck, but I'm still a little curious....
  4. That's nice of them, but they got it slightly wrong. Filming didn't begin in Esholt until 1976. The first years the show filmed in another village called Arncliffe. It's not a big secret, so a tiny little bit of research would have told them that.
  5. I see it as a start. 😈
  6. I'm glad that she received an apology from the Academy before her death. The audience booing her wasn't exactly the most shining moment in Oscar history.
  7. Hmm, maybe the 50th anniversary won't be a complete waste..... Emmerdale star Isobel Steele tipped to leave Liv Dingle role
  8. Love that promo! They really went all out trying to sell it as a soap, didn't they? But somehow the images didn't really gel with the enthusiastic narration....
  9. And let's not forget that she had obviously also been quite happy to go along with keeping baby Lucy from her mother.
  10. The only, and I do mean only, good thing about that promo was the song. (I love Smalltown Boy )
