Why?

It's right up Brad Bell's alley though. Remember when Ridge out of the blue proposed to Taylor just because he saw Brooke and Grant kiss? He had everything planned for a proposal to Brooke. He had even designed a wedding dress for her to wear at a fashion show. All of a sudden he switched, had Taylor model the dress and proposed to her on the runway. All without even talking to Brooke first and ask her about the kiss.

That's typical for B&B. Either it moves as slow as molasses, repeating itself ad nauseum, or it moves with the speed of light, skipping over important plot points.

With Djokovic not getting any younger, and Alacaraz still so young and with so much potential growth I wonder if Novak will manage to get that elusive 24th Major and tie with Margaret Court, or if he will end up, like Serena, on 23. This loss today also mean that he again misses out on the chance to complete a real, calendar year Grand Slam.

If they're still ranked 1 & 2 then that won't be a problem. I didn't think Alcaraz could do it at Wimbledon, on grass... but he played great. I guess we're really seeing the end of the Federer/Nadal/Djokovic era. It's lasted a very long time.

Wow, a single game lasting more than 25 minutes! On grass nonetheless! I remember Steffi Graf beating Natasha Zvereva in Paris and the entire match only lasted about 10 minutes longer than that, on clay!!

I only watched a little bit of the Jabeur-Sabalenka match, and damn how annoying Sabalenka's screeching was. 😒 I'm sure the roof being closed added to it, but still.....

What history would repeat itself with those three?

It will be a battle of autobiographies this autumn then.... on November 7th Barbra Streisand's autobiography "My Name is Barbra" will be published.

The late, great, and much missed Darlene Conley provided humour throughout her time on B&B. She was of course equally adept at drama, but she really excelled at comedy.
