  1. Didn't the Lumina storyline at one point involve Alice Barrett's return as Anne? I thought there was a hint of Jordan Stark being involved with her coming to Bay City and then it got dropped. Probably because of the cancellation. I was hoping they were leaning toward it really being Frankie that was brainwashed into thinking she was Anne. I also thought that Alice once said in an interview that she believed the intention was for Anne to be revealed as Frankie but it got cut short and they brought Frankie in as a ghost on the last episode. Maybe I'm making this all up, but I was hoping she was going to be Frankie and was so excited for the Lila/Cass/Frankie triangle. It has so much potential and then the show ended. If the show wanted to insist on the sci-fi/supernatural storylines, I would have had Jordan Stark turn out to be a long-lost Frame (instead of David) who was bringing back his dead family members with the use of his "freak machine" in the office. Alice as Frankie. George Reinholdt as Steven. Christine Jones as Janice. Therefore, bringing back Jacquie Courtney to try and determine if Steve was really Steve since they saw a different Steve (David Canary) before. Get the Alice/Steve/Rachel storyline going just in time for Janice to appear. I mean, come on, like the show had anything to lose. It would be a farfetched storyline, but you know viewers are willing to accept about anything if it leads to something they like. Would Alice/Steve/Rachel get some former viewers to pop in? Who knows at that point? There were so many characters they could have gotten rid of to make some room: Cindy, Etta Mae, Nick, Remy, Gary, Joe. I believe Anna Stuart wasn't re-upping.
  2. I really liked the chemistry between Cali and Tom. I think they could have worked well with her continuing as Paulina. Judi Evans changed the character too much. Judi playing Nancy though could have been great. I could just imagine what a Cali/Tom/Judi triangle could have been! Plus, Judi is a strong enough actor to be placed as Vicky Wyndham's sister. The two could have had their own rivalry of sorts and Nancy/Amanda could be another angle.
  3. I thought AW was pursuing Judi Evans for Paulina initially but she re-upped with DAYS instead. They hired Cali Timmins. Then Judi became available and was willing to join the show so they grabbed her. I do remember rumblings in the press that Cali was unhappy in the role which could have led to the replacement when Judi was available. I think Cali thought Paulina was weak because she was manipulated by Ken and then Jake. I believe Sharon Gabet's husband stepped in to get her off the AW. The "abusive" nature of Brittany and Peter's relationship was taking an emotional toll on her while she was pregnant. He was able to get her out of her contract early. I loved both Cali Timmins and Sharon Gabet on AW. I was so disappointed when each of them left. Such wasted opportunities.
  4. I agree about Audra. I was lukewarm about her in the beginning, but enjoy her more now that they've mixed her up with most of the canvas. I'd rather have someone come on the canvas with a past connection to Audra than this new character of Erin's. We still don't know much about Audra. Her past should be very interesting if it has made her the character she is.
  5. As I was in my 20's during the late 90's, I would have loved to live at Melrose Place. I'd sit back by the pool and watch all the fights in the courtyard and pool (Jane and Sydney) and deaths (Brooke) while drinking my coffee, reading my book. I certainly wouldn't be bored!
  6. That's hysterical! Thanks for sharing. I'm curious what Warrick's AMC castmates think of her.
  7. I really enjoyed BULL and was so happy for Alicia breaking out onto the show. I just wish it had lasted longer.
  8. The only time I remember a single event causing me to stop watching was when DAYS killed Renee back in the day. I immediately stopped watching and have never really tuned into DAYS on a regular basis since. Only occasionally watching here and there for a couple weeks at a time. All the shows that I was invested in, I watched until the end. AW, TX, OLTL, SFT (once on NBC). Most other shows I've tuned in and out of at times over the year depending on stories/actors that were on except ATWT and have only watched AMC very little.
  9. I started tuning in and out of OLTL during AW's final days because the show had taken in so many former AW actors. What hooked me completely though was the hit-and-run trial with Lindsay accused of running down Jessica and killing her baby even though it was Dorian. The scenes with Lindsay on trial not wanting to admit where she was that night, Jessica having memory flashes that it was Dorian, Dorian confessing to Nora and taking the stand herself. The episodes were so well constructed and had me on the edge of my seat. Even though I wasn't as invested in the history of the show (Viki/Dorian), I was aware of it. I ended up watching for the next/last 13 years.
  10. Though it was brief, Julie Osborn's return as Kathleen on AW was excellent. Bringing back Charles Keating at the same time brought many characters into the story. It also created the Kathleen/Cass/Frankie triangle. It was probably the first triangle where I couldn't decide between them.
  11. Is Audra going to be in a Who's the Daddy story? I hope she doesn't become pregnant. Is she going to play them both and tell Tucker or Kyle that he's the daddy as long as she can get more from him than the other? Hide it from Nikki? I'm not sure Josh could play out a story for nine months with all the correct beats.
  12. I've listened to a few of Linda Dano's podcasts and they're not bad. I do wish that they focused more on AW and BTS stories, but I guess that's just my preference. I enjoyed the ones with fellow AW actors, especially the recent Alicia Coppola. I loved her as Lorna and have been a fan since. She seems so darn real and someone that just tells it as it is. Linda even said she was kind of scared of Alicia when she started. 😆
  13. I wish Donna and Cecile could have been ongoing rivals in the last years of AW. Their banter was always fun and they looked like they enjoyed it. I'm sure TPTB wanted to focus on younger characters though. I never felt like there was a true long-term rivalry on AW in the final years, like say Viki/Dorian, Jill/Katherine. Vicky/Lila was fun, but it wasn't filled with history. Other rivalries were hot for a year or two and then nothing. Vicky/Paulina. Vicky/Marley.
  14. I'm so saddened by the death of Nancy. Cecile is my fave daytime character ever! She played the part just perfectly, even if the writing wasn't the best (trying to pass off Maggie as Cass's was just wrong). Her appearances on AW helped me get through many a horrible day while growing up. Whether it were Majorca, Bay City, or even Tanquir, I loved escaping to wherever Cecile was.
  15. LOL! Also, like working retail.
  16. I wish this show were setting up a "Who Shot Tucker?" storyline, but I'm sure Griffith couldn't write it. I mean, think of the suspects: Audra, Ashley, Jack, Phyllis, Summer, Daniel. You could even throw in Nate, Adam, Victor, and Nikki if they wanted to. The show needs a wide umbrella story instead of all this corporate battle non-intrigue.
  17. The only time I liked Hilary Edson was when she was on Jamie's side against Vicky. I thought she and Anne Heche played off each other well. (Of course, Anne elevated everyone in my opinion.) I could not stand the character of Derek as I felt it was a total ripoff of Beauty and the Beast and not even a good one. Stacey and Michael were even worse. I could not understand why Michael would have been interested in someone as bland as Stacey was written and Hilary and Kale had no chemistry, in my opinion. Michael always belonged with Donna. I really wanted Evan and Vicky to be a strong couple. They were fun together. Of course, we wouldn't have gotten Ryan I suppose.
  18. This Amanda/Olivia is giving me Cindy from AW vibes.
  19. After Texas ended at the end of '82, I wonder what could have happened if Pam Long was moved to AW. It seemed like Texas was just finally starting to come around with the younger cast. I personally loved Texas but AW was my show. AW was in such flux after the 90 mins/Texas characters/timeslot change debacle. I think Pam Long could have re-centered the show and maybe...just maybe...stopped the bleeding before it was too late. Maybe she could have tightened up the family units and won some of those Emmys for AW. (Then I think that this could have led to no Donna, Cass, Felicia in '83.)
  20. I really enjoyed today's episode except for the Billy/Chelsea scenes. Was happy for Elena going off on Victoria again. She pretty much called out Nate for what he is and Victoria is too blind to see it. I hope it was some foreshadowing. Adam and Sally's banter I found to be funny. Why do I think she's going to lose the baby and then Nick will blame Adam for not taking care of her while he was off "rescuing" Sharon? I'm okay with this, btw. It is great to see Sharon getting story again. I can't get over how horrid Cameron looks though. I mean, he's been out of prison for a bit. Why does he look like he just walked out of the woods after twenty years? Does he really think he can seduce Sharon looking like Grizzly Adams?
  21. I did watch it and she hasn't aged a bit. She seems like such a lovely person. Of course there was a lot of personal background talk (which I found interesting), but her talk of AW was all positivity. I was surprised that she said the set of OLTL she found to be tense and it wasn't the best experience. She did admit that it was during Clint Ritchie's accident which kind of derailed the planned story for her. She said it had a whole different vibe than AW out in Brooklyn and it was obvious to her that some of the actors/egos were in charge of the show. Anna said that her, Alice Barrett, Anna Stuart, Amy Carlson and a couple of BTS still regularly get together. It's definitely worth a listen. She's very charming. I just wish they would have talked more about AW but I don't think Alan has any idea about the show.
  22. I could be okay with this if Summer turns to Chance. Clearly though the writers don't know what to do with Audra. Noah. Tucker. Nate. Kyle?
  23. I think she was undervalued on AW. Though she got plenty of great story (initially), she never seemed to be in the forefront as Vicky Wyndham, Linda Dano, or Jensen Buchanan were.
  24. Kyle was Morgan Winthrop's friend who raped Lorna and let Morgan be accused. As far as who killed him? I don't remember myself. Was it Lorna?
  25. Phyllis meeting up with Summer at the GCAC makes no sense. So much for "being in hiding". The quad of Daniel/Lily/Billy/Chelsea and the kids at Society could have been an offscreen happening.
