  1. By the time JG left, I was tired of the Lisa/Jamie/Vicky triangle. Was never a fan of Lisa. Her premonitions bugged me and then seemed to stop. Could she not see Vicky coming? 😁
  2. I'd tune in more. Maybe Leann is working on a new expose of Genoa City residents. She could have been the one digging around Jack's past and discovered Allie. It'd be perfect timing for her to write another book about Victor and all his family problems, namely Victoria "outsmarting" him and taking Newman and Locke. I'd love to watch Leann stick it to Victor with little snarky barbs. It might even finally give Nikki something to do. So, of course, it won't happen.
  3. I had to read a profile of Mari Jo last night because I couldn't remember her. Couldn't she still be Allie's mother, though? Didn't she have a connection with Keemo briefly? I'd be for this since she once shot Victor! Do it again, Mari Jo. Do it again.
  4. If they don't have the money for extras, then cut back on the restaurant/hotel scenes. You can still create great drama with characters in their homes and offices where random people wouldn't be walking in/around. It would be less distracting. Yes, even Days has people walking around the town square.
  5. I love Jackie Collins and the Santangelo series! Just sayin'... I also believe that saying "it's just a soap" diminishes the genre. It can be held to a higher standard, even if "it's just a soap".
  6. I have to say that Ashland's downfall right now is about the only story I care about. Baby Dom? Hell no. Chance? No. Billy's podcast? No Jack's dead son that hadn't been on for decades? No. Noah/Tess/Mariah? No. I find the story boring. Faith? No. Explains why I rarely tune in.
  7. I would love this. CBS could use a good serial killer story. Days and GH have done them too many times without any consequence, but B&B could use one. Plus, it ties in the history in time for a 35th anniversary.
  8. AW: would not have killed Ryan when Paul Michael Valley wanted to leave. Ryan and Vicky were a great couple. Clearly, he was willing to come back (the heaven scenes). He could have been a good wrench in a Vicky coupling. Would not have killed Frankie in such a brutal way. I would have had her run-off and make it a mystery of why she left Cass. The later part of its run I would have had Cecile on. I would have made her less of a schemer and a general foe for Rachel-Donna-Felicia.
  9. I'd be okay with that if it means Ridge leaves.
  10. We've all been hearing about this upcoming major twist on B&B, but if you had the opportunity to write it...what would it be? Thankfully, this show isn't as dreadful as Y&R. However, it needs a good shot in the arm. How would you change it up? These aren't "never before done in daytime" changes, but I'd end a Friday with these scenes: 1. Zende shows up at Carter's looking for Paris. He raps on the door but no answer. He realizes the door isn't locked so he sticks his head inside asking if anyone is there. He spots Paris's shoes and handbag on the floor realizing she's there. He lets himself in and looks around. He hears her giggling upstairs so he goes up after her to find her in bed with Carter. (They later have it out. Zende leaves town. Paris realizes a few days after that she really loves Zende and leaves town to go after him. The two are never seen again.) 2. Hope shows up at Brooke's and can't find her. She hears Brooke upstairs. She goes upstairs to find her mom and walks in on her in bed with Jack. (we later see fallout from Steffy realizing that Brooke has moved on from her father just to put her claws into Finn's father. Sheila finds out and is livid. Deacon finds out and is livid. Ridge finds out and says whatever, she's Jack's problem.) 3. Katie and Donna are shopping on Rodeo Drive with multiple bags hanging from their shoulders/arms. Suddenly, a band of thieves dressed in all black with ski masks run out of a store after robbing them and run right into Katie and Donna. The group surrounds the two and demand they turn over their bags, money, and jewelry. Donna gives in but Katie argues with them. One pulls a gun at Katie's side and tries to rip the bags off her shoulders. While a struggle ensues the gun goes off. Everyone panics and runs away. Then you see Katie on the sidewalk with a bullet wound and blood on the sidewalk. (Katie recovers but then becomes jaded in life. She's always had bad luck: health, men, being ignored. She turns into a vindictive, but snarky and fun 😀, person.) Like I said, not game-changing events by any means, but would get us away from the constant repetition there is now. Share what you would do...(and don't say cancel the show!)
  11. Isn't Jack Wagner between Annika Noelle and Rena Sofer? Not next to Denise Richards. I know it's too much to ask, but can't Nick and Quinn just have one scene together where she makes fun of him for loving...Brooke? Shades of Eve and Peter about Amanda (Melrose). Otherwise, I don't really care about Nick's return.
  12. Someone mentioned Steffy not really being Steffy and really Phoebe. How about TK's Ridge not really being Ridge? To tie in with others, maybe Ronn Moss's Ridge is being held by Morgan somewhere until he finally escapes and shows up on Brooke's doorstep. She thinks she's been drinking again, even though she hasn't been. RM's Ridge convinces her it's really him just as TK's Ridge shows up. But who is TK's Ridge? Another Marone relative? Nick arrives with the news that he just found out he and Ridge have another brother. TK's Ridge. Ronn Moss's Ridge realized while away that he enjoyed being away from Brooke and the Forresters, so he leaves town with Taylor and they live happily ever after.... Oh, c'mon. I know it's not Ron C., but still....
  13. I'd take Laura Leighton on any soap as any character. How about Patty on Y&R? Patty going after Jack and putting her head-to-head with Phyllis. Flirt with Nick, Billy. Y&R desperately needs someone like Laura Leighton and she still looks amazing.
  14. If Kristian Alfonso joined B&B, why not as Margo? She's Ridge's ex, and could be a good foe for Kristen Forrester (because of their Clarke days.) Margo with Bill Spencer Jr would be an interesting story. I'd love to see Kristian as Margo up against Quinn, Brooke.
  15. AW: Laura Moss (Amanda) should have been a recast for Nicole Love. Nicole could have been released from the sanitorium. Donna needed more family and I think Laura as Nicole would have been a great adversary for Frankie. What if Mark Pinter (Grant) had been cast as Peter Love? The characters were very similar anyway (always wanting Daddy's approval). It would have put a nix in the Grant/Vicky story that came along, but Peter could still have been involved with Paulina, Cindy, Amanda and been a rival for Jake. MIchael Rodrick (Cameron) could have been a great Ben McKinnon. He still could have been involved with Amanda (and even Josie). David Andrew MacDonald (Jordan) should have been a new Jamie Frame instead of the show going down that weird sci-fi story.
  16. Tripp and Craig are doctors. Did they meet at the hospital? Is Craig trying to get a job there again?
  17. "Exclusive"??? Who else would want to hear it?
  18. You may be thinking of Donna Love when Anna Stuart left in 1986. Her father Reginald had just come back to town and Donna ended up having a mental breakdown. Her last scene was being wheeled off in a stretcher where she was clutching pillows. Right before she left she picked up a third pillow and was talking about her children. This led people to believe that Donna was remembering she had triplets instead of twins, Marley/Vicky. Speculation was that Scott Lasalle, adopted son of Reginald and Mary (McKinnon), was Donna's son and had been raised by Reginald. When Philece Sampler came on as Donna, nothing ever came of that theory. I believe Anna Stuart has gone on record and said that grabbing the third pillow was never anything intentional (or in the script). She was just acting out the scene.
  19. I grew up an NBC fan. Maybe that's why I've learned to never have high expectations in life. AW was my show. I also enjoyed Texas, Generations, Search for Tomorrow (after it moved to NBC), and loved Sunset Beach. Santa Barbara was so-so for me (and I switched between it and Guiding Light). As I've posted before on the boards, I boycotted Days after they killed Renee. (I watch it now...and have off-and-on later years). I will say that CBS had the most successful run at daytime. Even Capitol, which wasn't considered a ratings "winner" had more viewers than a lot of NBC and ABC shows at the time. I don't ever remember CBS shows being at the bottom until later on with GL before it was cancelled. But growing up, Ryan's Hope, Loving/The City, Port Charles all had low ratings for ABC.
  20. If this is Ron's bizarre interpretation of a "tribute" to Renee and Philece, there's a much more plausible way to do it. Let Marlena, Tony, and Anna have a scene together talking about Kristen and this whole mask debacle. Marlena could mention how Andre used to wear one pretending to be Roman during the slasher storyiine. This could lead Tony to mention Renee's death and the three could have flashbacks of Renee. Marlena her friend. Tony her lover. Anna her rival.
  21. Witht the recent interactions between Jack and Lauren, I wish the show would go there. I'd enjoy the reactions of Michael and Phyllis since they've been friends forever. This Jack and Phyllis mess is boring. It needs some kind of shot in the arm.
  22. Exactly my thoughts when I read this! Renee was a fave of mine as a kid. Her and Tony were such a great couple, then throw in Anna to the mix. Ron will ruin it and yes, an insult to the late, great Philece Sampler.
  23. "Earth-shattering" defined by writers is often a lot less earth-shattering than they think, unfortunately.
  24. It had better not be the death of Finn after this whole mess of Sheila wanting to reconnect with him! I've been enjoying Steffy out of Liam's orbit. I'd hate to have them kill off Finn and have it lead to Sheila's exit. Then, just put Steffy and Liam back together.
  25. I still find it hard to believe that Quinn hasn't tracked down Sheila or Deacon and confronted them yet. Didn't they both try to kill her before?
