  1. That Sarah mask is powerful! It made Gwen lose her accent.
  2. This Devon/Abby stuff needs to end. It's so boring. Does anyone really care which one the baby ends up with? So Lily who was the head of a smaller division of Chancellor becomes CEO of the whole corporation and they keep her in the same office? Wouldn't the head of a smaller division have an office out of the way somewhere? Now everyone is expected to go find her? LOL Is the Coffee House really struggling for income so badly that Sharon has to get orders for everyone? Hasn't Sharon accumulated some money from her failed marriages? She can't pay someone else so she can gossip with everyone that comes?
  3. I agree Rachel and Carl never made sense with story. Didn't Vicky Wyndham make some rumblings about leaving unless she was paired with Charles Keating? Then they wrote the Carl/Rachel scenes in NYC. I thought I read that somewhere one time. That's why she always pushed Carl/Rachel even though it made no sense.
  4. Peter Love should have come back with a recast. His behavior with Brittany could have been explained as being terrified of his father and needing to please him. (Donna was terrified of Reginald then too). That Peter/Brittany abuse storyline was the biggest waste of Sharon Gabet! I can see why she wanted out of her contract early. Nicole Love could have returned "reformed" from her time at the institution. She could try hard to make amends to Cass and Felicia with them being skeptical of course. It could be written so the audience can't really tell if she has reformed or she hasn't. That alone could play for several months. There were plenty of characters she could have mixed things up with. Cass/Frankie, Jamie, Michael, maybe even mess with John/Sharlene. It could have been limitless. Donna should not have been alone. Maybe if she had her brother and sister to confide in she never would have slept with Jake. LOL. I do wish more of the McKinnons had returned in later years too. Especially Kathleen and a recast MJ.
  5. Is there really anyone beating down the doors these days wanting to be a headwriter on daytime? I have a feeling that part of why we're stuck with some of the writers we have is because no one else wants to do it. There are too many people's hands in the mix to be able to write. Daytime needs to lessen the reigns and give an experience writer (whether primetime writers or even suspense/romance novelists) a chance. It's just going to get worse if they don't, so why not take a chance?
  6. I like Richard Burgi (because of his AW days), so I'm sad to see him leave. His crazy backstory aside, if this is solely to put Victoria back with Billy, I'm against that. I find Ashland and Victoria to be a decent couple. Not great, but decent. That's an improvement for most couples on the show. If the writers are determined to break up Ashland and Victoria why does he have to leave? Why not let him mix it up with another character? Nikki? Ashley? Or even someone more random like Sharon or Chelsea? This show doesn't shake things up...ever...
  7. Have any of the press ever watched soaps? You'd think they wouldn't jump to conclusions so quickly about Luke's "death". Especially, if they aren't even watching the show. The whole story has been flat so far. If they wanted maximum effect, the whole episode should of centered around people in town finding out (Laura, Bobbie, Robert, Anna, Felicia, etc) and giving them each a chance to have (flashback) memories of Luke from the past. Show just how important of a character he once was instead of mentioning it in passing and moving on.
  8. Writers: How can we top the press Days is getting for Marlena's possession? Writers: We'll kill of Luke Spencer! Go!
  9. I'd mix up the show with some new couples: Nick/Sally, Nikki/Ashland, Jack/Lauren (maybe not so new). It would shake things up. Phyllis furious Nick is leaning toward Sally. His whole family still against him, especially Victor and Adam. Phyllis and Michael leaning on each other after his marriage to Lauren is on the rocks. Phyllis upset because she was falling for Jack again. Just imagine Gloria's thoughts. Ashland and Nikki would cause even more conflict in the Newman family. Victoria feeling like deja vu because Nikki's had romances with Victoria's men before. Bring back Ashley to console Victor and reignite her rivalry with Nikki. (Yes, I know...this isn't new...but Ashley needs a foe. Why not Nikki?) Traci could make appearances (I'd prefer on contract) and be upset about Lauren "going after" Jack when she's married.
  10. Maybe Luke is really being held with Holly. I'd love to see Anna, Robert, Mac, Felicia, and Laura try to figure out what's going on and track them down. Far more interesting than all the Peter and Carly dramas being redone over and over.
  11. I hated that plot as the ending. Maybe if the wedding had been more serious and they extended the character messages to Cass and Lila (really to the audience) it would have better. Rachel should have been the featured character on the last ep. She could have been sitting with Matt and Amanda talking about how the wedding stirred up memories and she misses the rest of the family. Then show flashbacks of Mac, Ada, Jamie and Steve, and others.
  12. I had uploaded Jake's shooting on AW because Anne Heche and Tom Eplin are amazing. Then I realized that it wasn't the full episode leading up to his shooting, it was clips put together. It's listed as "Another World-Jake's Shooting pt 1." then there's this episode that is entirely Cali Timmins (an awesome Paulina before Judi Evans) and Tom Eplin only, mixed with some flashbacks thrown in. A different kind of episode with just two characters. These episodes when they aired hooked me on OLTL and I watched until the end of its run. The writing was just so good. I know it's broken up into 6 parts but the ep I'm talking about starts with Pt 4
  13. Ava on GH. Just watched her scenes today with Victor and wondered how is she still around. I'm sure the main reason is because it's Maura and she can be amazing. Does Ava really have a purpose right now though?
  14. I know Anne went on to "bigger and better" things, but she is still one of my fave daytimers of all-time. I wish she'd come back for a short-term stint. I don't think any show would do her justice for more than that. Maybe as an interest for Jack on Y&R? Anne could definitely hold her own with the cast and would be fun going head to head with Michelle Stafford.
  15. I'd love to see Quinn rip it off during a fight since Rena was on Melrose. It could be like when Matt pulled Kimberly's wig off in the hospital hallway and just held it up in front of her.
  16. AW before the end: Iris. Jamie. Peter and Nicole Love. (Donna was reduced to meddling in Vicky's life) Cecile. Sandy. Kathleen. (Instead of the Frankie look-alike). These characters alone interacting with each other could have driven many stories instead of the stupid Lumina story.
  17. That wig is horrible. Why can't Taylor just come back with shorter hair? Is it really that crucial?
  18. I never understood Mitch and Felicia. I think he would have been better served in a romance with Rachel. I'm sure the writers did it to stir up conflict between Rachel and Felicia, but it just never worked. The class conflict could have been done at a couple of different times. With the Loves/McKinnons when they first started taking over the show (especially during Reginald and Mary's returns) and around the time Sharlene and Josie first arrived. I think they started it with the latter. Josie and Matt on the phone connections line and there was conflict between Sharlene and Rachel. It's too bad that it didn't continue further. Rachel and Sharlene should have been rivals of sorts for years instead of friendly. With Rachel's history against the Frames (Janice's death, destroying Steve and Alice's happiness), Sharlene would have had reason.
  19. I'm all for the Katie/Quinn rivalry.
  20. I was thinking the same thing. I thought the dresses Sally and Phyllis had on had more flair than the wedding dress. Victoria's didn't look bad. It didn't live up to the hype of the story...I suppose it matches the wedding in general. Just flat.
  21. At least the show seems to be getting their money's worth out of the Villa sets. This will be a squandered opportunity though unless two things happen: 1. There's some kind of catfight in a fountain between Summer and Sally. 2. Jessie Gaines ends up dead on the property and everyone's a suspect.
  22. Storm is inside Katie...literally. Be kind of hard to explain...even for a soap.
  23. Deacon was my first thought too. How did he last leave? I know Quinn pushed him off a cliff at one point. Back for revenge? Does he have a connection to Sheila?
  24. I found Ridge the other day to be written so overbearing and obnoxious trying to dictate to his father what Eric does or doesn't do within his own home. What right does he have? I've never liked TK as Ridge and this kind of writing does him no favors. Quinn has done horrible things, for sure. Ridge has every reason to not like her, but when Eric is opening up to him about something so personal Ridge just kept shouting right over him. I didn't mind today's episode. It actually had people working...in the office...and interacting. LOL. It did seem like they were testing Paris and Thomas. Weren't they just testing Paris and Finn? Why can't Zende and Paris just be a couple? I'd rather Thomas have someone new come into the picture and stir things up. Let Zende and Paris have some happiness. Hell, let any couple on this show have some happiness. I'm surprised they haven't had Brooke in the middle of Sheila's story. It would make perfect sense to have Brooke be nosing into what Sheila is doing and where she is. After everything Sheila has done in the past, would they really just let her roam around LA without keeping tabs on her? Brooke should secretly hire some young, good-looking private investigator to go get close to Sheila and report back. Ridge could suspect an affair because Brooke is being secretive and running off to meet this guy. Sheila could eventually catch on to the guy and turn the tables on Brooke.
