  1. I've heard some praise for the writers around 93-94, like Peggy Sloane, but I haven't watched a great deal of that period.
  2. I always think of Maeve on St. Patrick's Day.
  3. Nate Silver's long, painful slide continues.
  4. I don't think I've ever seen anyone who was a fan of Anne Logan. Even going back to when the Daytime to Remember episodes aired in 1997, most of the comments I saw were from people who had never liked her.
  5. Did they stretch Cameron Mathison's head?
  6. Yes, only to vanish afterward. Christine was a real headache at times. I wonder if the Gabrielle Carteris character might have ever stayed on.
  7. Eddie Drueding has been uploading 1988 episodes - I think some were already on Youtube in chunks but for me individual episodes are preferable. For anyone, like me, who is fascinated by strike-based material, 1988 AW will be one of the few mostly complete periods on Youtube (along with 1981 RH I suppose - and maybe 1981 AW) to show the effects of a writers strike. Episodes starting from April 12, 1988 were in the strike period. This will go through early/mid-October.
  8. Good luck. I stopped watching again.
  9. Probably a combo of being afraid of alienating their remaining audience, and Peacock not exactly having a lot of cutting-edge material anyway. Ron's idea of cutting edge is a gay man trying to rape two straight men instead of one.
  10. I'm hoping they may just give her stories outside of her love life and keep her with Mike offcamera, but of course I can understand why they may not want to do that.

  12. If P&G had given a damn, ATWT and GL would still be on the air today. I know many fans, rightfully, feel completely demoralized at what DAYS has become, but I am glad some efforts have been made to keep the show on the air, that someone even cared at all.
  13. Thanks @Vee for keeping up with all this for those of us who aren't as much these days. Sounds like a good idea to have a UNIT-focused show, especially with the world these days. I wish they could resurrect a few of the dead Torchwood figures for this.
  14. Sorry if this was already posted - you can see a few quick, silent clips of Mary Frann, Peter Brown and Bennye Gatteys in this. @jam6242 @victoria foxton @JAS0N47 @Paul Raven@slick jones
  15. Was Sissy Spacek ever a frontrunner that year?
  16. @soapfan770 My eyes... How could I forget "straight dope on a heroine addict." You know somebody was very very proud of themselves that day.
  17. @soapfan770 Those were such fun times to talk about the show, I never stop enjoying the nostalgia (it helps that everyone involved at that point was laughed off the show and out of the industry...). Now we just need Greg Rikaart to introduce a Chipmunk Head clip for his favorite moment.
  18. That's because you care about soaps, rather than resenting them for not being the film career you were never, ever going to have because you're a talentless hack. I am glad Liz did try to stand ground on these types of moments, much as she was criticized for doing so. When you don't, the reality of your show is ruined in ways that space aliens and time travel never do. I still remember how many people winced when they had Reva Shayne calling Marah her first-born child.
  19. I doubt he even knew who Bianca was. I doubt anyone at the show by that point did. Liz Hubbard once said in an interview that a script had her saying something like, "I have two daughters," and she made sure to change it to three.
