  1. Kyle seems drunk off her ass in that clip. I wonder what Kim would say... And of course this will turn into claiming Sutton is lying. Maybe they can have a RHOD crossover where Greg Abbott demands her medical records. Normally I might say if you call someone soulless you aren't going to expect anything back but Diana is so genuinely disturbing in this shot that it just backs up Sutton's comment. She looks like the whorehouse madam who is about to get the ingenue hooked on heroin. @Chris B @Cat Ah my mistake about Kyle not knowing. I suppose I am not sure why she is so willing to seem so vile oncamera, but then she has done all this before and usually anyone she targets leaves, so she probably thinks she will win again. I can't say she's wrong to feel that way, although I hope she is.
  2. Wasn't Sunak one of the more well-regarded people in his Cabinet (for whatever that is worth...)? I wonder if this finally means the end of the road.
  3. I really loved Mona's work as Blossom. She gave so much warmth and dignity to her part. At the time I started EE, I was burnt out on American soaps, where a character like her would never be allowed and if she did would just show up twice a year. The first run of the Jackson family was strength to strength, and Mona was a huge reason why.
  4. Trevor Noah did not actually say "reverse a SCOTUS" decision, but it's not far off. https://www.thewrap.com/trevor-noah-democrats-response-abortion-decision/ I really do wonder how much of this is coordinated to depress money and turnout, especially as Trevor Noah (someone who has had so many questionable takes and comments over the years as it is) profited handsomely from the Trump years. He can also leave the US at any time with no real loss. Those of us who have to stay here and suffer and die are just out of luck.
  5. Yet more right wing propaganda in NYT.
  6. I wonder if Kyle was blindsided about that scene even getting on the air. I am sure she doesn't know everything about what gets on but she must have wondered if she would get a more protected edit than that clip. And Mauricio in particular looks like an [!@#$%^&*] there.
  7. He had a bunch of pro-Trump stuff on social media and his father is apparently a big gun nut too. It's too early to say anything along those lines (not that it is stopping those on the right from claiming he is "antifa"), but this is someone who could easily win a Presidential primary for the GOP today.
  8. A rapist played by an actor who could barely say his lines is not how I ever want to remember ABC soaps.
  9. Me too. I always wonder where the Bauers would be now. I miss the P&G soaps and the generations comforted and supported by them. We need them more than ever these days. If only P&G had had the patience or care to see how valuable they were.
  10. Yes. Lori left a few months before the story concluded. Sharon Gabet replied that Lori knew where the role would end up, so I guess that isn't why she left. This is all I see online of her work as Winter: She reminds me a lot of Melanie Smith. I do wonder how she would have played out the last few months. Stephanie Braxton really goes hogwild at times, although this works overall. Similar to the Claire Bloom/Lynn Milgrim situation on ATWT.
  11. Thank you for mentioning me @slick jones . I always enjoy popping in here to see your updates, and any time I think any videos I found helped you out I'm glad - these days any moment of pride is a good thing. This is such an important document for historical purposes and I know it takes a great deal of time and effort on your part.
  12. It's interesting to compare him to Lee Godart, as the roles are not entirely dissimilar and they overlapped for some months. Lee was very charismatic, and handsome, and fun, but not much of an actor. Hamilton is genuinely giving a strong performance here, to the point that it is still with me several days later. A great reminder that talent and charisma sometimes just isn't enough in the industry, I suppose.
  13. Thanks for tagging me
  14. That's true, but at a time when gun control activists have probably had some of their bigger success in recent times, his Twitter basically being an interchangeable "do something!" outlet makes me wonder if he just does not have that type of involvement anymore.
  15. Between this and the "eliminate the filibuster now!!! Don't just tell people to vote!!!" type talk that is obviously impossible, Hogg seems to have fully moved into the dead-end "do something" side of Twitter. I would say this is a sad waste of his activism but I don't remember him accomplishing much of anything in activism...
  16. It is, yes. I think another P&G town is mentioned around the time of the train crash.
  17. Yes, EON is one of the main soaps I think could easily be revived in today's world (the others I'd pick are probably OLTL and GL). I always wonder how fans felt about the switch in actresses with Winter, as apparently she only became a more scheming character after Stephanie Braxton came in to finish out the story. Stephanie does a good job playing up those disturbed elements, but I could see some rejecting the shift. Always weird seeing Deborah without her shorter haircut. I had to laugh at Draper's lengthy bedroom scene with gold chain around his neck. Pure '70s nostalgia. Slesar did such a good job at pacing stories, in a way few soap writers could. This episode is clearly showing the end of one story (Winter) another at midpoint (the Elliot/Margo saga and the setting up of Margo manipulating April and Draper into the house situation that would be so disastrous for them), and another just beginning (Paige Madison/Mansion of the Damned). I haven't seen a lot of Dan Hamilton, but he was surprisingly hot and a good actor too, especially how he played Wade's fear when Wade realized just how serious Winter was. He also played a believable drunk. Funny to think he moved from EON back to Another World to be shot to death later that same year.
