  1. After the many years of breathless overhype any time TSJ managed to say his lines without looking like he wanted to jump through the wall and never be seen again, I can't think of a more fitting role for him than Fluckers, one of the most pointless characters in soap history. I would say we will soon hear about how he is saving Y&R, but the days of anyone caring that much about anything on soaps seem long gone.
  2. At the time I remember hearing 1, 2, 3,4 and loving it. It's never left my head. Here's his episode of The Nanny:
  3. Nice to see you on here again. Did you see the 'new' 1982 episodes (two of them) I posted a few months back? (the full B-52 episodes rather than just their clips) If not I'll find the link.
  4. My rule is if it's Ryan Murphy it's bad, and likely anti-gay to boot. I wish I could say I was surprised he is peddling this show at a time of ever-increasing virulence toward the lgbt community. I hope getting Evan Peters to show his ass once more is worth it.
  5. Mad About You, for sure. I never hear anyone talk about Just Shoot Me.
  6. I think Mad About You did have its own following, especially the first few seasons. By the last few, not so much. I remember the last season, which focused on the fallout of their marital problems and pregnancy, crashing hard in the ratings.
  7. Scumbags like Chris Hayes showing who they are again:
  8. @I Am A Swede @Vee @vetsoapfan I'm glad Frazer is still in decent form...this is the closest we'll get to any real Sugden presence for the anniversary so I will enjoy it. Chris Chittell says he tried a few years ago to get TPTB to bring Jane Hutcheson (Sandie) back as he enjoyed working with her. What might have been...
  9. I think it was a medical problem.
  10. Is this Tom O'Rourke near the end? @jam6242 @zanereed
  11. The show supposedly drastically improves within a few months but I haven't seen for myself.
  12. Oh I need to get back in (I think I only got up to episode 3). I'd love to hear your thoughts as this goes on. Or your thoughts on the Families episode I posted. I forgot to mention that Russell Davies was a script editor on that show (he uses a lot of the concepts he'd use on his other soaps a few years later, like Revelations and Springhill).
  13. Lisa Peluso is in this ad.
  14. Ian Ziering, and hair, is in this ad.
  15. That's also where I first saw Louise, along with absolute trash like Two Moon Junction and its sequel that would run on pay cable late at night. She was luminous and you never felt like she was slumming, even though she was. I wish she'd gotten the part in Nashville. I love Lily Tomlin, but she doesn't do anything for me in that role, and when I rewatch the movie I tend to skip most of that storyline.
  16. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-norfolk-62810007 Most of a Morecambe and Wise interview from 1973 was recovered.
  17. A terrific speech.
