  1. Thank you. This was lovely to watch. You could see how proud she was of her work on the show, especially the foster care storyline, and she's right about how ahead of its time the show was in the early/mid '90s (with light shade thrown of what has happened since). Her memories of Bill Bell were touching.
  2. Thanks @BoldRestless that was a lot of fun, and very important to have as a tribute to their contributions to Y&R (the closest we'll get, anyway). Wish we could have had some of this in the episodes. I'm glad they did mention Victoria Mallory. Given that they mention Brad I wonder if there was any attempt at interviewing Janice or JLB with Tom Hallick, unless there's some bad blood there. @vetsoapfan you may enjoy this interview if you haven't already seen it.
  3. If you want to save anything on the Archive you may want to as soon as possible.
  4. I know this one's already around, but this may be a bit better condition and is a full episode all at one time rather than in clips. You can find the start of the episode on Oakdalian's channel.

  6. What I hate most about Sinema is I keep seeing dead end leftists say, "See, this is why you shouldn't vote for Democrats, what did we get for voting for her," when she completely misrepresented herself and her views in order to win the primary. She just makes people more likely to give up on the electoral system...which is the point, of course. And that's why I dislike her more than Fetterman, even if I find much of what he represents deplorable.
  7. It works better this way, without the stock images. This whole discussion has reminded me that I generally prefer the old school openings that didn't have any actors...maybe aside from Y&R's '80s/'90s run and OLTL with Peabo Bryson.
  8. The idea works for me, but the execution, with the skeevy sax and the red sheet flapping in the breeze, just came off to me as tacky and as a show trying to be what it wasn't...a good fit for where Y&R was going by that point, I suppose. Visually, it feels very early '90s Loving or OLTL, just with added horniness...if one can get horny on actors doing mannequin poses, anyway.
  9. I'd forgotten just how much that porn opening felt like a failed attempt at recreating the B&B music. Another reminder of how much Y&R stopped feeling like itself by that point, bit by bit.
  10. I feel like I'm being contrarian, but as someone who hasn't liked any of the themes of the last twenty years, it doesn't bother me that much. I like the idea of going from B&W to color (even if it's a bit cliche), and I like the theme arrangement. My main problem with it is it just looks so damn cheap - as others have said, it looks like a fan edited opening from 15 years ago. Ditch the skyline, take off the names, and I think it would improve a tad.
  11. Lemay seemingly agreed as he had Rachel viciously spurn Liz and cast her out of the family (briefly) in his return to the show. I'm glad those episodes will be up on Youtube before too long.
  12. I know it's Puck, but this story seems believable enough to me, enough to anger me. So many big business types are going to stump for DeSassy, assuming he's more "respectable" than Trump, which mostly means the camps he chooses for most of us will be given fresher coats of paint.
  13. @Skylover Thank you for sharing such a lovely, personal story with us. You often hear about actors with attitude, or who are unable to connect, so I'm glad you had a very positive experience, especially with what you're going through right now. I have to admit I laughed at the part about Elly, because I never liked her either.
  14. Sheffer was always much, much, much better at talking to an adoring soap press than he was at writing. Anything he said, I never believed. I wouldn't be surprised if he got bored with Nick fast, especially given his love of pigs like EJ, or Hunt Block's Craig on ATWT.
  15. It very much reads like them just throwing a Vanessa comment from another interview into that article. Sloppy stuff.
