A slam without Serena, Venus, Fed & Nadal.... I knew this day would eventually come but sigh. I've been watching tennis for 40+ years and I feel confident saying this was the best Era of tennis ever! They changed the game and kept eyes on the sport when folks were over the it.

Rogers was not wrong at all in what he said about Ramsey but that's his co worker and he has to respect that. TR also said that Ramsey is not menacing. Also true but he has to keep that to himself. That was not the first time (or second) that TR has said something he probably should have kept to himself.

I'm really getting a "Doug Davidson" vibe with Rogers. Bitching and moaning about newcomers, the writing, etc but the moment they let him return, he does. Leave this sh!t heap and keep it moving.

Andy is right and he's certainly talking about no one willing to discuss Zverez, the abuser and the baby daddy the mother doesn't want near her or the child. Not one person is talking about that so if you are not going to put everyone on front street, don't talk about anyone. Oh and yesterday had to be the dullest finals I have ever seen. Ash has earned her spot as #1 but there is nothing that excites me about her. I guess I was watching for Jil. She has the goods and an interesting player to watch. If Zverez is not playing the elite, his matches can easily become noise in the background.

Fed getting knee surgery for the sake of tennis is ridiculous at this point. I understand he and Serena love the sport and have dominated for so long but at least she's not undergoing surgeries (that we know of) to continue. Nadal is slowing retiring. He has played some hard tennis for a long time. Nadal will be up 2 sets to love, 5/0, 40/0 in the 3rd and will run down balls as if his life depended on it!

I went to bed and this Murray/Gasquet match was on. I'm now at work trying to catch some matches and the replay of Murray/Gasquet is on. I love Andy Murray as a person. He seems like a great fair guy but I don't watch his matches. I never have. Even when he played mixed with Serena, I only watched the highlights.

Giorgi played some damn good tennis and it was a long time coming. She only needs a few matches at Cincy to seed at USO.

Monfils is a clown! He was absolutely ridiculous! Had me wishing Izzzzzner would hurry up win to put an end to that nightmare.

Great win for Collins! Halep played a great match. Collins is eventually gonna play her way deep into a slam. Really good job from Mr. Monfils. The Mrs. not so much.
