  1. Fantastic news! I wish they would have canceled this show. Emily would have had to blow some sh!t up at ABC.
  2. That was AMAZING. I love how nonchalant she is about just ruining people's lives. It's incredible. I wonder what the deal is with Daniel's roommate. At the senator's party, he pulled Daniel aside and said "We have to talk" or something like that, but we never saw the conversation. Of course, I'm secretly hoping that they went and had some hot Harvard sex. Are we supposed to like Declan or hate him? He yells too much, and he seems very whiny rich boy-ish considering he's poor. It was sweet that he didn't send the video, and also smart. I'm still confused as to why Adam would have the webcam on 24/7... Nolan is awesome, and I love how he just goes with whatever flow Emily sets up. He thinks she's batshit crazy, but he's totally game for whatever she wants him to do.
  3. I still cringe whenever DH is nominated in the comedy categories at awards shows. Like WTF? Really? REALLY? Damn. They sold it as something other than what it became.
  4. Honestly, to me, the only difference between David Canary now and David Canary on Bonanza is the hair color. I'm sure if I'd ever see him in person, it'd be different, but on screen, he really does look exactly the same.
  5. YES. YES. Exactly. I've been watching via On Demand, and that's my main draw, right there. Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, Dirty Sexy Money, even Grey's and Private Practice...no matter how dramatic they try to be, they ALWAYS have the quirky background music and random humor thrown in that stops me from calling them soaps (though I don't really think that's what they're trying for, but it's what people call them anyway). This show owns the hell out of its soapiness, and that's great.
  6. The Pine Valley Bulletin says he was born in 1986...so yeah, that's some pretty epic SORASing.
  7. To be honest, the whole 1985-1995ish time period is sketchy for me, which is weird. When I first got into the show, I read in-depth yearly summaries for all of the 70s (on SOC), so that's why I know so much about that period, and then the early 80s is a heavily-talked about period of the show, so I sort of picked up knowledge of it over the years (and now I've seen a ton of eps from then, so that helps). Thanks to most of you old people here, I have lots of secondhand knowledge of 90s stuff, but for whatever reason, it's like the late 80s never get talked about. I know so little about characters like Nico, Julie, Emily Ann, and even Jeremy and Natalie in their heyday. That one episode with Cliff in a jungle somewhere was a huge turn-off, but I know I need to complete my Pine Valley studies sooner or later
  8. Late 80s AMC might as well be an entirely different show for me. I don't think I've ever spent any time watching clips or even reading about storylines from that era at all.
  9. Paul was running for office, and his opponents wired his car to explode. Ann decided to use his car to run some errands, and well...you can guess what happened. Basically, Ann is to Paul's car as Jenny is to Greg's jetski.
  10. Steven's stories do see damaging/depressing, the worst for me being trying to murder Pat. With her gone by the end of the year and Ian not wanting anything to do with him, he'll probably never show up again, which sucks. The Beale family essentially consists of Ian and Jane. Ridiculous.
  11. So, what's the verdict on the Ben story? Let me be shallow and say that gay!boxer can do better. Where's Steven Beale when you need him?
  12. OMG I'm done at the hip hop guys in the audience gleefully clapping for Julia Barr. Damn 90s.
  13. I didn't realize that there were TWO realSilvers! I always picture Claire Beckman when I think of her. Ingledew. Damn, girl.
  14. I don't think that's Silver. realSilver was blonde, I believe.
  15. Random question: how long have they been using Stamford Hospital in Connecticut as the exterior of PVH? I didn't expect to see it in some early 80s episodes I was watching a few days ago.
  16. Andrew Ridings was playing JR when he was hooked up with Laurie. I remember Bennett's JR, but did he really have any storylines? He was on for almost a year (01-02), but I can't even remember him doing anything of note besides mourning Dixie. But then again, now that I think about it, I really wasn't watching much during his time. That was during the whole Bianca/Frankie stuff, and that was before I got my trusty ol' VCR.
  17. I've always read that she was struck by a bus while crossing a street. I've seen it listed as an "automobile accident" on various sites, though.
  18. Kay Campbell looks so adorable in those kitchen pictures! I can't help but get sad every time I see her though because all I can think about is her tragic, tragic death Speaking of sadness, one of our old posters made this video years ago for the 35th anniversary, and even though the pictures aren't terribly clear, it still just tears me up! It's the picture of Nina and Palmer playing croquet that gets to me the most, and I don't know why.
  19. Every time I try to watch, all I see is Moons, and I really couldn't care less. They're not hot enough to make me watch anyway, either. This show really is in danger of falling apart, character-wise, isn't it? It feels like if a few certain people decide to leave within a year, it'll be a mess.
  20. Yeah, I can't imagine anyone going through all that trouble in the name of dismissing the show. It's awesome.
  21. You can see the sadness on so many of their faces Part of me wishes the show would have just ended at the 40th anniversary. Re: Mark. I read something long ago, don't even remember where, about his wife disappearing at some point. Does anyone know at all what that's about?
  22. AHHHH. Mark...Mark Mark Mark...take me now. That's my soulmate, yall. That man. Right there. And look at my sexy Kane siblings gettin' down!
