GL: Where do I start?

-Reva not telling Josh about her cancer.

-Cassie finding out she has feelings for Josh.

-Alan-Michael hits on Marina Cooper, who had once been thought to have been his child.

-Alan is revealed to be Phillip's killer.

-Seeing Harley in prison, scene after scene, after scene. Stretched out wayyyy too long. The entire story of "Who Killed Phillip" ruined so many characters for me including Gus and Harley.

-Alex deciding to keep the fact that Alan killed Phillip a secret.

-Alex is revealed to be Reva's stalker and a drug lord. Then they make Alan crazy, then Lizzie. The Spauldings are completely ruined.

-Beth marrying Alan and becoming this "!@#$%^&*]" type of character.

-Blake and Jeffrey. Why is Jeffrey still on the show?

-Rick (or Phillip) killed Ross?

AMC:Greenlee sneaking into Ryan's penthouse by stuffing herself in a toy chest I believe. However the whole trial reveal and fight between Greenlee and Kendall was kick ass.

DAYS:I honestly don't know what scene simply ruined the show. It's just the repetitiveness that annoys me. Seeing Hope constantly reject Bo. Shawn picking his brother in-law over his father. Did Frankie really sleep with Jenn while Jack was in the hospital? The baby switch between Mimi and Belle also is ruining the show for me (again, repetitive since this story has done soooo many times before).

I don't have any for Y&R, ATWT, or even OLTL since I'm loving them right now.

My Show: All My Children

What moment turned you off from your show?

The brutal, special episode rape, subsequent impregnation, cruel mental torture and desexualiztion of Bianca Montgomery, Daytime's first major core family lesbian character. And THAT gem of an story arc {that really went 2 years if you include the baby switch and I do} was McTravesty's first swing in the batter's box, the story that got her the job in her current tenure. Yet, somehow over time, things managed to only get worse. [!@#$%^&*] you, Megan McTavish.

What is ruining your show?

Currently?

Megan McTavish and her poison pen: The horror continues with The UnAborting of the first post Roe v. Wade abortion story in TELEVISION HISTORY. Again, [!@#$%^&*] You, Meggie.

Other major contributors?

As others mentioned, the Tsunami of Carey, obsession with gametes and Ryan Lavery above all others save The Careys, unwanted/creepy/scifi/WTD pregnancies and babies, fascination with sexual violation/physical abuse of women, disgusting/excruciating/cruel metaphorical aborting of Dr, Madden and the one track mind, one trick pony, lather rinse repeat reliance on inappropriate sexual activity/dialogue for underage characters, particularly with older men.

Plus be very very afraid if Megan, The Destroyer decides to write for your fave character, they're doomed. She's seriously compromised just about every character she's written for and permaently damaged/tainted many. No one is safe.

Other than that, the show's great right now...I love it.

With GH (I gave up about 1-2 months ago), there wasn't one particular thing. More like the straw that broke the camel's back. For years, my love for this show has been worn away by the ratings-ploy destruction of characters I loved (like Brenda or AJ) and the Mob pimping.

Two months' ago, I was ready to give GH the benefit of the doubt because it seemed to be expanding its focus away from Sonny + the Mob to include vets and the hospital. However, I soon realized that means nothing if the writing remains shitty. Scrubs have lost their lustre, the vets are nowhere to be found, EverywomanCarly is in EVERY scene and, uh, always Being Right. Everybody else is backburned. It was exhausting just to FF through it. When I heard about the Maxie/Lucky sex, I couldn't even be bothered to set my TiVO. I rely on this place to let me know if/when it will be worth tuning back in.

AMC: The Carey girls move from amusing comic relief to tortured heroines, Jonathan and Maggie's interesting abusive relationship storyline turns hardcore melodramatic, Ryan's inner demons, Julia's POINTLESS return, the bried return-and-exit of the Frye family

GH: Too much Sonny, too much Emily, too much Carly, too little anything else

General Hospital:

The total and utter disrespect to the history of Nikolas and Gia was the absolute last straw of me being a fan of the show. Nem's relationship is built on the bones of Nia and Zem and I have no interest in seeing it. Two statements turned me against GH forever...

Nikolas: So this is what true love is like, Emily

Gia loved his pathetic ass when he was running around playing Cassadine and lying to her, breaking HER heart. She stood by him without saying so much as a word to him as he tried to control her life...all Emily used him for was a Mac machine when she needed money to get Zander away.

Nikolas: One day I saw a bride while I was dating Gia and I thought of you Emily, I found myself jealous because I realized one day that you would be a bride for someone else

Jigga wha? Nikolas didn't give a damn about Emily outside of friendship when he was with Gia, he couldn't tear himself away from Gia's bed to say goodbye to Emily when she broke her back and NOW, he was thinking about Emily while with Gia...shyeah right.

I hate GH for erasing every memory of any previous relationships that Nikolas and Emily had...and making any one they loved a non entity by removing them from the show.

Oh and I hate GH for killing Stefan in the most degrading way possible...Asshats.

Last but not least....All My Children

July 5, 2005...when they made Dani into some girl that couldn't wait to lose her virginity and used her to make Josh Madden appear to be the sweet, caring individual who could be her white Knight...while every Black Knight around her was either betrayed by her, clueless about what's going on with her or trying to seduce her. They destroyed the relationship of Dani and Reggie to put them on the backburner, compromised Dani's character to lift up the UNABORTION Josh Madden, made Derek an absentee dad, made Mimi into a horrible mother who was a shell of her former self and last but certainly not least, wasted Lamman Rucker's Garrett Williams and made him not only a sexual predator towards little girls...but a international crime boss. Whatever...I spit on AMC.

I honestly didn't think they could top the Dragon Summer (and they haven't), but making Josh Madden an ABORTED CHILD gets the #2 vote.

AMC:

Brian Frons. Because of this one man pretty much nobody enjoys working on his show anymore, behind or in front of the camera. Once you've created morale that low you can count the number of years a show had left on one hand.

I'll go one further. After making a big deal about how Garrett Williams was a pervert for wanting to sleep with a teenaged Dani (after late 20/30 something Josh already had, mind you), how all of a sudden, 17 year old Lily and let 20's Jonathan are a romantic couple - and everyone is ok with it except Jack and Reggie.

AMC:

Ryan agreeing to marry his former stalker, Greenlee. I'm sorry, but he would have to have amnesia to even consider talking to her after what she put him & Gillian through. For Ryan to not have backed Kendall 100% when she wanted to kick Greenlee out of Fusion for her courtroom antics was the beginning of the destruction of his character.

Currently: The unabortion, the focus on too many boring characters and/or newbies (Annie, Colby, Sydney, Aiden, and Erin should never all be in one episode), trying to redeem Jonathan after he killed Edmund by giving him a brain tumor and then propping up his disgusting relationship with Lily, Dixie's new and unimproved personality, the Carey women and the Lavery family being portrayed as heroes regardless of how they behave.

DAYS:

-The slow pacing

-The repetitive dialogue, especially between Sami and EJ. Sami, either [!@#$%^&*] or get off the pot. EJ, either take her somewhere and bang her brains out, or reveal your true intentions.

-The endless focus on Chelsea and Mimi, two of the worst characters ever to hit the show. They're whiny, they're !@#$%^&*]y, they're selfish, and they need to die. And it's a shame that Abby might leave and never had a chance to be anything other than Chelsea's prop and pimpette.

Carly, mobsters on 24/7.

Also, the horrendous scriptwriters on All My Children. I detest Courtney Bugler and miss John PiRoman.

On "General Hospital" it is the Sonny and Jason show...it's unbearable. Both actors have the charisma of a plant.
