ATWT: What Are Your Thoughts on Today's Show?

For 2 people (Matie) who claim they don't want Simon in their lives, they both do go out of the way to stalk after him. Katie thinking everything Simon does is about and for her. Mike going out of his way to bid on Simon's remodel project.

Katie looked like she lost her bunny when she got shot down by Carly and by Simon about getting over herself. For someone who claims to not want Simon in her life, she sure is hellbent on thinking he wants to be in hers.

I *did* enjoy the PL/TC banter in the lobby of the Lakeview, there chemistry and ease with each other just shines through.

Katie needs to be smacked, however. And what was with her drinking from Simon's glass and leaving her lipstick on the rim?

I believe that's called marking one's territory.

ITA! No one misses Lia except her parents and Anne (her only friend).

Once the shock wears off of Anne she will be glad not to play second to Lia :P . I don't like the actress who plays Anne. She gets on my nerves and can't act.

It's a rare occasion, but last week ATWT was my least-favorite of the entire CBSD lineup. Yes, I thought that B&B and GL were better, especially GL which was the best I've seen in ages. I don't understand why the show goes through these boring periods when it obviously can produce good quality. It's the same with Y&R, but ATWT is more notorious for getting in these ruts.

The serial killer storyline is the only storyline I'm interested. Luke's storyline is mildly interesting, but I think I'll gag if they do a Damian/Lucy/Dusty triangle. First off, Dusty's wife just died, and secondly, Lucy is waaaaaaay too young and has little to no chemistry with either actor. ITA that so far she only has chemistry with Luke, and they can't even pull a GL with that one since Luke is gay. (And they're not blood related since Sierra is Lucinda's biological daugther while Lily is her adopted daughter). I hope that they don't go down the road of the triangle. Older guys with younger girls is just really nasty IMO, especially someone that young. If it goes through, I might take a hiatus on the show. I stopped watching when Lucy and Dusty paired up the first time, so I really don't want to see a redux.

I hope that Damian isn't actually lying about being ill because it'd make me feel something for him. Right now, I'm not digging his return at all. It's almost at the level it was when he returned in the mid-90s as a monk.

The rest is just awful. I'm not going to sugar coat it like I usually do. Half the show is just filler, and I'm getting sick of it.I still love ATWT though...but the show is just blah now.

He can't mourn her forever. It's already getting boring. Soaps do this all the time. Characters move on.

and secondly, Lucy is waaaaaaay too young and has little to no chemistry with either actor.

Whether some choose to accept it or not, she's in her 20s and she's a doctor. She's not too young. She's young, but she's very much legal. I don't think she's had a good story yet to see what kind of chemistry she has with either actor. She's barely been on. But so far I like her vibe. I love her scenes with Luke and think she has a lot of potential with both Paolo and Grayson. I can't wait to see this unfold.

I loved Lucy and Dusty the first time. They had amazing chemistry together. Too bad Peyton List left because Lusty was one of ATWT's most popular couples. I hope they can regain that magic again.

I have no problem with age differences at all. It's all par the course on a soap.

I haven't watched Friday's show yet but...

I don't get why the writers are hellbent on putting Dusty & Lucy together again and expecting the same type of chemistry between Spencer Grammer & Grayson McCouch as they did with GM & Peyton List. I hate Dusty & Lucy together and don't wanna see SG wasted on a pairing that obviously has no fire to keep it going.

I like Lucy with Damian...she seems to work with him way better than with Dusty...mostly because it looks like she can take Damian and call him on his crap. With Dusty, on the other hand, she acts like a scared little girl who is made to feel like she's always wrong and it's bordering on bullying...I may be biased because I absolutely HATE Dusty now but that's how I see it. If they go with Lucy & Damian, I'd be willing to forget the age difference. Once she's 30, it won't even matter.

ITA that so far she only has chemistry with Luke, and they can't even pull a GL with that one since Luke is gay. (And they're not blood related since Sierra is Lucinda's biological daugther while Lily is her adopted daughter).

Yeah, I think it's a shame as well because Spencer Gramme does have the most chemistry with Van Hansis...unless they have Luke realize that he's bi (but I don't think that's a controversy the show is willing to take). Luke & Lucy have always seen themselves as cousins so that definitely adds to the ick factor for those who are really into the details. Not to mention that Luke is still a teen and Lucy is already in her early 20s...it seems to be a taboo for teens to hook up with people who are adults..no matter how small the age difference (ie. Will/Alison). <_<

I don't think I would be that opposed to a Damian/Lucy pairing because it would provide a lot of drama for all the characters involved. Unfortunately, the age issue still doesn't mean much today. I personally think it's slightly disturbing, but I'd learn to get over it if there really is any chemistry.

My biggest opposition is to the triangle with Dusty. Dusty and Lucy SUCKED! I don't care if anyone thinks otherwise...I'm sorry, they were completely overrated and only lasted as long as they did because of their seemingly-devout fanbase. Besides, different actress, different chemistry. Who's to say that those two have chemistry anyway? I don't see it.

I would really hate it if they paired them up so soon after Jen's death. It would be such a slap in the face to viewers who had to believe that Dusty and Jen were so deeply in love that she'd let him adopt her child and marry her on her deathbed.

I know that people have different grieving periods, and that on soaps time is always warped, but the man could use a few months on the backburner anyway. If it's boring to watch him grieve for his wife, then they don't have to show it. There are better characters who are more deserving of the airtime anyway. But of course, ATWT won't do that, which is why I'm really not liking the show anymore.

Agreed. Actually, "seemingly-devout fanbases" are what's keeping Matie alive right now because they should have been dead a looong time ago. I have my share of couples that I like and I can't imagine having one half or both halves of the couple being replaced by different actors and being into the couple like I was before. Having the same characters does not equal the chemistry shared between two actors.

I found Jen & Dusty to be an insta-couple so it makes sense why the grieving period would be short but I admit if I was a fan of theirs, I'd be pissed at how quickly Dusty seems to be getting more and more involved with Lucy again.
