Today was a very emotional episode on ATWT:

Maddie came face to face with Dallas, who revealed that she could no longer hide from what happened to her in Chicago; however, she still is pulling from Casey in the process.

Carly and Jack had some really intense scenes together at the farmhouse; and the question on if they will divorce or get back together came up.

Jennifer asked Dusty for her ultimate wish; and made Gwen promise her to do something very important for her.

More Simon and Katie scenes today; as well as Vienna literally throwing herself on Mike

I know alot of folks haven't seen the show...so I didn't want to really spoil anything for anyone.

I saw the show. I was only drawn to Maddie's scenes. I'm glad Dallas didn't rape her. But ATWT badly re-wrote her history.

Maddie was an energetic ball of energy when she first appeared. Not some rape victim.

I'm having a hard time buying that Maddie was sexually assaulted, too. Wasn't it not too long ago she was buy all kinds of condoms and couldn't wait to get it on. Now, she can't even stand it whenever she and Casey begin to get intimate.

Shewww! Glad that Dallas didn't do something awful to Maddie.

Nobody does sexual tension like Jack and Carly. LOL!

I agree with you regarding Maddie...When she first came on there she was a energetic snoop that was determined to get Mike away from Katie and put Henry back in the picture; she also had an intense dislike for Casey....Throughout their budding feelings for one another, not once did she show any signs that she feared being with Casey. So to suddenly make her a sexually abused victim is really out to left field, and it makes me mad that they could possibly doing this just to put an end to another character.

The Jennifer scenes really got to me today, all the actors were amazing but I have to say Colleen Zenk Pinter and Jen Landon were standouts to me...I was sobbing right along with them.

Well perhaps this could shed some more positive light towards the Maddie storyline.

What if when she first came to Oakdale, she decided to put the rape out of her head and be an different person...high energy, fun loving, etc. etc.

The condom stuff is throwing me off here as well.

So Maddie pushed all these feelings and thoughts out of her mind (as so many soap characters do) until she saw that one person who connected everything for her: Dallas.

You know, when you're in a new town, no one has any idea, but when someone like Dallas comes into Oakdale who knows the truth, it's bound to get out and now she's reliving the rape, thus pushing away Casey.

I don't like the storyline because it's ruining Maddie - Jean Passanante is really watering down all her new characters - but Alexandra Chando is a great actress.

I don't buy that Maddie would block out her rape when she first came. She could not speak of it, but if you notice now, she flinches every time someone comes near her. The writers are making her last minute trauma deliberate when her character was not introduced as such.

Also, as someone else said, rape victims don't gleefully buy condoms and buy sex. Maddie has been throwing herself all over Casey.

And why wouldn't she tell Henry but spend time playing matchmaker? C'mon. And if she went to the hospital, wouldn't somebody notify her family, Henry?

I know first hand that try as you may want to block a trauma out, your body will react. I know i hate it when people sneak up on me or even touch me w/ o asking.

But oh well. I guess ATWT needed to get a story going.

I don't feel bad for Jen. She and Dusty are annoying.

Also, I hope it's just a rumor she turns into a serial killer.

Did anyone catch that Carly promo that they featured today mid GL? I think that was very interesting....

Maddie really had no history to re-write so I agree that TPTB did a very poor job giving her one. Sexual Assault (of any kind/nature) is an EXTREMELY serious subject and should never be taken lightly sooooo to just drop it into a characters' background ( as with Maddie ) bothers me. I'm relieved that Dallas had nothing to do with the assault- ( he had already accused and convicted by some) because to have two rogue/criminal cops back to back would have been alittle toooo much.

The Munson/Hughes scenes today were great. Say what you want about Dusty - his insisting Jen WILL GET BETTER was right on target. As a parent I really feel for Hal/Barbara because the very last thing you want to do is bury your child (no matter what). If Jen is really going to die( hope not, recast, recast) then so be it, but she's not dead yet so lets not have the funeral right now. And then there was Wil.......

I could have really did without the Katie/Simon/Mike/Vienna scenes. Who cares anymore.

JackA ss the G-Man is truly an A SS!! If Carly takes him back anytime soon then she deserves whatever treatment he dishes out. Speaking of Carly( she's still one of my faves) why is JJ still in her care????? JackA wanted him so JackA should have him. I feel sorry of that kid---where is Keith when you need him. Talk about a wasted storyline.

I saw it. I think they would have sparks. Simon is not the bore jack is.

I think Simon and Carly would be great.....she needs to be with someone other than Jack; and it's time that it's Jack without someone this time around....Last time Jack was the one rubbing Julia all up in Carly's face; now Jack can see Carly making some sparks with someone else

I don't get why J.J. is still around either.

Having J.J with Carly is just the continuous constant reminder of what Jack did to Carly; and how he treated her even when he got his memory back.....Like I said, it's time for Jack to get some salt poured on his wounds, and possible pairing of Carly and Simon should be great.

Jesse Soffer and Jen Landon, broke my heart in like the first 12 minutes. As for the Maddie storyline...eh, I don't know...just trying to add some insight perhaps!!!
