Okay, Freiwald is back on Monday's US episode, but the credits were different again.

Paula Cwikly

Eric Freiwald &

Linda Schreiber

I'm assuming Cwikly wrote the breakdown while Freiwald and Schreiber wrote the script. If so, why did this episode need 2 script writers? Was Schreiber script so bad that Freiwald heavily edited and needed to be credited?

I guess we'll have to wait until Tuesday's US episode to see what the '&' means.

Just a titbit: McCaffrey was Y&R's production assistant before he joined the writing team with the Memorial Day episode in 2000.

Fred Johnson is one of my favorite daytime writers (from his time @ AMC). He actually responded to a letter I wrote! Of course he won't work with McTavish. The second she was fired in '99 he was back and the second she came back in 2003 he was gone.

New script writer for ATWT today. Today's script was written by David A. Levinson.

He wrote scripts for AMC for a while; I thought he was pretty good. Especially considering his only other credit was as a research or continuity person for Sunset Beach.

He also wrote for OLTL:

I don't understand why do they keep hiring new writers. It's probably the biggest staff in daytime. Or one of.

And a great one, too. A new Douglas Marland. And such a person will probably never come. Not any time soon, I believe. :(

Maybe one of the script writers is about to be promoted to a higher position on the writing staff, or is planning to leave.

ATWT needs a new headwriter, not new script writers.

I agree.

Rick Draughon who just recently left the writing staff of Days of Our Lives was added to the credits of the Young and the Restless today.

The Y&R writing staff keeps changing!
