You know Frank is feeling that BTG heat when they put out a breathless separate press release for the return of Hat Man and Kai's buddy. Maybe Bryan and Claudia will return after 40 years next.

the public IG post by Swickard and his wife on June 1st that she gave birth to their third child.

ABC felt it, too, hence why some time slots were pushed back to 3pm after remaining at 2pm since Katie was in the 3pm time slot.

In the US QAF, I think the problem with Lindsay and Mel was that they were the only lesbian regulars so the show was stuck keeping them together and/or breaking them up for short periods of time. Of the two, the show did seem to do a better job with connecting Lindsay with the rest of the canvas due to her long time friendship/unrequited love for Brian, her being a mentor of sorts for Justin, and her friendly rapport with Emmett, Ted, & Michael. If I recall, Lindsay was bi.. or leaned more bi and the show never really focused/developed that aspect of her character.
The only time I thought the show made somewhat of an effort to incorporate Mel into the canvas was during the brief season 1 arc where she and Lindsay broke up and she became friends with Ted with the two hanging out at Bablyon while Emmett was trying to turn straight and met a woman also trying to go straight. And the woman was likable and cute and she met Mel at the Babylon and it looked like maybe the two might have hooked up, or could have hooked up... but then she wasn't seen again.
@te. The Peacock version had potential... but it was so focused on checking off every diversity box that it didn't think to develop the characters nor think out long term story arcs for the characters.

I still enjoyed Sex and the City because it is a time capsule of a bygone era.. and people seemed a lot more free and open during that era then the more puritanical 2020s have been. And when I say puritanical, I mean both the right and left are chronic pearl clutchers nowadays.
CBS may have misfired in 1995 with their attempt at attracting younger viewers, but at least the network was willing to try something new unlike the modern day version of CBS that is procedural heavy.
I remember having a friend that disliked soap operas and made fun of them.. but the three shows they watched with devotion were Downton Abbey, Stranger Things, and Game of Thrones. When they told me this, I started laughing and I told him 'Sweetie, you're watching soap operas lol'

I think the show needs to bite the bullet and close the book on KS and move on. In the real world, she would be canned a long time ago and it's time for the show to move on and find another Maxie.

Well I admit, that’s just my personal preference, not that it definitely should have been that way. There’s a big difference between 17/high school and 18/college. I actually felt the same way about Holly and Doug III on Days 😂😂
I had no problem with the age gap, but the high school element… that’s a different story

If they can recast Chad after 12 years of Billy Flynn, they can certainly recast Paul. And I really think that’s the reason why they choose not to make Colton full time.
There’s so much that can be done with Paul and Andrew, as a couple and as individual characters… especially now that we know that Colton has chemistry with Peter Porte 😉😍😍😂

Yup. Plus if Brian really loved Justin then he would've just let him go for his own sake. Brian wasn't going to change and Justin was way too young (he was what, 21 or 22 at the end of the series?) to get tied down to a 12 years older man, who he didn't even seem to share the same life goals with. You never got the impression that Justin wanted the "open" relationship that Brian clearly decided for them. Justin got burned by Ethan, but it doesn't mean that he suddenly wouldn't want a monogamous committed relationship. Him going back to Brian to be abused wasn't exactly moving forwards.
I don't think that would've made it much better lol. Just technically legal, but I think there's a point that both Justin and Nathan in the OG are just under the age of consent (16 in the UK). Justin / Nathan are hurrying to grow up and underscores the somewhat shady morality/recklessness of Brian / Stuart.
I must've been rolling my eyes so hard I missed it (and I'll admit at least killing a famous pop star would've at least brought the death toll up in the QaF universe)! 😄

Agreed about the Brian/Justin relationship, @te.
Despite my love/hate relationship with QAF lol, I occasionally tune in every Pride month when Showtime re-broadcasts it, but it seems like every year, I find myself side-eyeing the relationship more and more. Just because you truly love someone, deep down, and do nice things for them doesn’t give you the right to pretty much abuse them constantly. That’s just not a good message to convey, in general.
And yeah, maybe in the beginning, they should’ve made Justin 18 and in college instead of 17 and in high school lol
