Beyond the Gates, The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless, CBS, CBS Daytime,

On Monday, May 25 (Memorial Day), CBS has scheduled repeat broadcasts of “The Young and the Restless” and “Beyond the Gates,” while “The Bold and the Beautiful” will broadcast an all-new episode.

Originally aired on July 3, 2019, episode #11720 of “The Young and the Restless” sees Victor (Eric Braeden) making a dangerous decision, while Victoria (Amelia Heinle) plots her revenge against Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Elsewhere, Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) past catches up with her and romance blooms for Devon (Bryton James) and Elena (Brytni Sarpy).

As for “Beyond the Gates,” CBS will rebroadcast the daytime special “Beyond the Gates: Inside Fairmont Crest,” which originally aired on January 19, 2026. Taped on the set of the show’s Atlanta-based studio in November 2025, the special episode pulls back the curtain on “Beyond the Gates” with commentary from the show’s cast as they relive their favorite storylines, including all of season one’s explosive affairs, shocking cons, and family secrets.

Cast members who took part in the special include Brandon Claybon, Colby Muhammad, Daphnée Duplaix, Tamara Tunie, Clifton Davis, Karla Mosley, Arielle Prepetit, RhonniRose Mantilla, Jen Jacob, Kenjah, Alex Alegria, Colby Muhammad, Jibre Hordges, Ambyr Michelle, David Lami Friebe, Sean Freeman, Timon Kyle Durrett, Marquita Goings, Keith D. Robinson, Najah Jackson and Jaden Lucas Miller, among others. Ben Gavin, who played Derek Baldwin on the soap until earlier this week when his character was heroically killed off, also took part in the special, though it was before he was informed of the shift in storyline for his character.

Though the decision to air a repeat of its newest soap opera doesn’t come as a surprise, given that only 238 episodes of “Beyond the Gates” are expected to air during Season 2, it is noteworthy that the network has chosen to air a rebroadcast of “The Young and the Restless,” particularly at this time of year. Historically, repeat broadcasts of the long-running daytime drama series, if scheduled, have been reserved for the wintertime, specifically on holidays like Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day, when not preempted by sports.

One likely reason could be the upcoming crossover between the two soap operas, set to air in June, and the need to sync the shows for storyline purposes, given that seven actors from “The Young and the Restless” are set to crossover from Genoa City to Fairmont Crest over multiple episodes.

Bryton James, who previously took his Devon Winters character to meet with the Dupree family, among others, last August, will once again appear alongside the family, and he’ll be joined by co-stars Eric Braeden, Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), Michael Mealor (Kyle Abbott), Susan Walters (Diane Abbott) and Melissa Ordway, who plays James’ on-screen wife, Abby, and is Victor Newman’s daughter.

The ambitious storyline will see longtime close friends Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) and the powerful patriarch of the Newman family, the legendary Victor Newman, reunite at a high-profile political fundraiser.

In story, Victor has backed Vernon’s political campaigns over the years while Vernon has championed legislation benefiting Newman Enterprises, an alliance built on loyalty, influence, and mutual gain. Now, Vernon has asked Victor to serve as the keynote speaker at his grandson Martin’s (Brandon Claybon) fundraiser.

Friends with Martin since they first bonded in New York City after college, Kyle Abbott looks forward to attending the fundraiser after Martin extends him an invitation. Kyle will arrive alongside his parents, Jack and Diane. Abby and Devon are also on the VIP guest list, with Devon fielding an unexpected business opportunity from Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie).

As the evening unfolds, a shocking event derails the fundraiser, triggering dramatic consequences that will affect every guest in attendance.

Though the second-ever crossover event between “Beyond the Gates” and “The Young and the Restless,” this will be the third time the new soap opera will have crossed over with a CBS sibling, following last October’s crossover event with “The Bold and the Beautiful,” which saw Thorsten Kaye appear as his Ridge Forrester character from the half-hour drama series.
