I've always despised Eric because he's a smarmy narcissist - very childlike - pivoting to whatever he wants like a baby. FC only survived his flightiness because of Stephanie's money, business acumen and, frankly, stability.
And Bill/Katie are on the right side of this fight both legally and morally. I'm sad LOGAN will be gone and forgotten by May sweeps.

A complete missed opportunity. Bold finally got something right and interesting....and it feels all for nothing. I definitely don't care about Elektra, Dylan, and Will. This story was the only reason why I decided to give the show another chance.

As for Katie, it's about time she started reminding Brooke that she's a homewrecker. But I don't like how Bill seems to get a pass. Brooke didn't hold him down and have her way with him.

In her life story interview, published in Afternoon TV, Jacquie Courtney acknowledged that her job was in serious danger early on, as Irna Phillips was unhappy with the overly-bubbly way JC was playing Alice. Irna devised a story about the character going away to summer camp and perishing when it burned to the ground. It was only thanks to the intervention of a director, who strenuously demanded she tone it down, that Jacquie stopped overacting and began playing Alice in a more naturalistic, somber fashion. Irna noticed the change, approached the actress at the studio, and embraced her. "My Alice! Forget the summer camp! Forget the fire!"
Jacquie credited that director with saving her job.

DAYS: March 2026 Discussion Thread

Days in particular has so many "way past their prime" actors who need to retire. Yes, Josh but Deidre too. Susan Hayes has aged so gracefully and should be on a long term contract with a Horton house set that befits her (and the show's) legacy instead of that beyond tacky (maddening) remodeled, post fire (strike storyline) set. And some of the men who are still in their prime don't look great. The show is just not fun to watch with sound on or off. But the other shows have similar problems: GH must have a cosmetic dermatologist on set because (nearly) every actor regardless of age looks like they just came from a botox/filler/laser session. Faces don't move. Y&R is a mixed bag of paralyzed filler faces and some gracefully aging performers. B&B is unwatchable unless you want to OD on lip and facial filler or you love Thorsten's voice. BTG looks good for the most part.

I liked Dante/Cody's silly bro talk today. I was half expecting Dante to ask Cody what he thought about Liz lol. Dante saying the WSB mission was the end of his/Lulu's marriage, but wasn't the real crack Dante cheating with Valerie, Lulu's cousin?
And yeah, I really tried to pay attention to where Jason was going and all I got was doing something to help Britt?

Pat and Missy were introduced as the front burner heroines whereas Jacquie was just the kid sister and Susan never got of the starting block. So I don't think Alice was never really under threat. Same with Russ. Although the bible gave him a much stronger presence. I guess once you get into day to day writing things that were planned don't get incorporated for a variety of reasons.
Irna was more concerned with getting the lead characters right. She must have gone on instinct b/c the original Jim and Liz didn't get much of a chance and she might have had more in store for Susan that the actresses didn't hint at.

Vernon looked super smart in the cream shirt style jacket-yes you can be 80 and fashionable. But no to Bill in the all white beach ensemble and Joey's shiny velour outfit.
Looks like Timon has a no shirtless clause in his contract.
Kat talking about moving into one of the wings of the house when we have only seen one room. Her talk of assisting Anita brought up the fact that Anita doesn't have one. Supposedly she has so much going on and does it all by herself.
Disappointed that Mona has gone all judgey. Originally she looked like she was going to be the wise, caring talk to.
And unless we see the clinic and Leslie's mansion, I'm not interested. All this business going down in cafes is giving me Y&R vibes.
I kinda like Randy-he's clueless but there's a puppy dog vibe that appeals. I don't mind the religious aspect. We've seen that IRL where crims are quite brazen in that way. And dum dum Randy is trying to hedge his bets.

Another World Discussion Thread

I noticed when reading the 1971 write-ups on Eddie's AW website that the show had introduced Dan's daughter and Susan's stepdaughter onto the show and it appeared as though there was going to be the potential of some angst for Susan/Dan.
This was a matter of a few weeks before Harding Lemay's start as head-writer. The moment he joined.. the step daughter was ushered up the show and Susan/Dan got a transfer offer to a different city and quickly left the show.
So it appeared to me that Lemay wasn't inspired to write for that couple and that Susan's story arc was mostly a Robert Cendella focused story.. and it seemed as though Lemay wasn't feeling most of his stories hence finishing off some of the stories fairly quickly in the first few months of his stint.
