Since it seems they consider Ric strictly D level nowadays, maybe they'll give him a nice affair with Liz that they'll feature once every two months or so. They can become the modern day version of the old Dan Rooney/ Aunt Ruby "romance," if they are not already!

Yeah if they wanted to do something with Ric and Liz, they would have when it was him vs Lucky vs Jason at the same time 2 years back or last year when it looked like an intriguing Liz/Ric/Ava triangle could form.

They both deserve more.

I don't think they'll ever go back to Ric/Liz, which is probably for the best as the relationship is more interesting with him pining for her.

I wish they'd do more with Ric, but I do like seeing him in a good place with his family. There wasn't much left to play in him constantly being at odds with them.

Which is such a shame because the potential has been there multiple times since he has returned.

I agree that I do love seeing Ric in a good place with his family. Who would have thought?

Ugh. Jacinda.

Aww at Marco/Lucas discussing moving off the island.

I have to say that I love that Willow is doing what we discussed last month for Drew. Being nice in public and to a lot of people's faces. But behind closed doors or alone, the mask slips. It's giving old school soap villainess/schemer and I don't at all hate that. It's been a minute since a lady has been so stealth on a soap.

Oh my Goodness. Willow has a smirk now?

And she reads people down, too?

I might start to stan. lol. Poor Kristina.

Chase is a crooked cop

I apologize in advance for the dumb question, but who's keys did Chase have? I thought they were Michael's but were they Willow's? Tracy's?

Michael’s keys, that Willow slipped from his coat pocket at the meeting with Alexis and Ric, and added the key to Drew’s house.

What’s laughable to me is that Chase is such a bad cop he didn’t even try to secure the evidence. He and Willow both touched the key, and could easily be accused of wrongdoing.

I loved Willow’s confessions, which were partly accurate and also delusional about her own role in all of this. My one little complaint is that staging matters. I know it’s a budget thing with the lighting, but in the past this confession would be seen during a stormy night and dimly lit.

Thank God!

Amanda Setton loosens up her wardrobe...as Steve Burton clamps down once again on love scenes. Supreme being giveth, and supreme being taketh away.

Is Amanda S religious or something? Or do they just stick Brook Lynn in modest clothing for no reason? Is there a mormon vibe going on?

Thank you! I guess I was not paying attention lol.

Chase is awful. Does it really matter that much to him who shot Drew? He's alive. Go investigate Jagger's murder or something.

She's religious, but Jewish not Mormon.

Now you know that didn't happen. ;P

I've seen some fans say this has ruined Chase's character (there was even some whole article at Soaphub or somewhere that the show should have him secretly work to turn in Willow and exonerate Michael and otherwise it's out of character). Maybe the writing hasn't been strong enough in explaining why, but I don't think Chase's actions are out of character for him. He likes to "save" women, and Brook Lynn doesn't need saving - she now has everything she ever wanted with Gio in her life along with her career and the Qs, and Chase knows he can never give her a biological child. Willow is always in need of support and help. Then when you add in his messy history with Michael, it's a perfect storm for a very slow, ugly breakdown.

I agree with you. It would be nice if the writing had more of a build to the incoming Chase/BLQ friction rather than having it come into story infrequently, but they have set it up perfectly how in character it has been for Chase to want to either solve a mystery or be Captain SaveAHo. Michael has called him out. Tracy has called him out. Dante has called him out. And finally (and a few times) BLQ has called him out. They see this as a character flaw with him so I don't see why other people would not. Unless they are bias to the Chase/BLQ relationship.

I don’t see this as out of character for Chase. I think Chase, Michael, and especially Willow have changed over time in ways that make sense in the last couple of years, but still seem like the same characters. The only one who you could argue changed quickly with little build up was Drew.

IIRC Chase also fell for Brook Lynn during a period of time she was vulnerable because of Peter August, and then her Me Too story with the record producer. He gets off on rescuing women. I see him easily falling for Willow’s lies and eventually into her bed.

He’s so mad at Dante I can see him misinterpreting a scene between Dante and Brook Lynn, or feeling like she sided with Dante over him, and marching straight to Willow.

I could see that happening. It's hard for me to imagine them actually pairing Dante and Brook Lynn but I could see him jumping to conclusions.

(I did think they would have Brook Lynn start to develop feelings for Dante but for now she is still devoted to Chase)

Yes. For many plot-driven stories or stalled out character developments this group has had a believable shift in the last few years (down to Mulcahey in some cases, others due to actors leaving [it's tough to imagine Chad Duell in the current story]).
