You and me both. I think Diane is back this week, so I hope this talk-to gets reduced airtime. I know some people love her, but I'm not buying Alexis feeding her so much.

The Guiding Light 1948

I think it just took Irna time to find her way as she transitioned out of the old format into the new. The first year of "The New Guiding Light" was very much similar to the old show but then she decided to take it into the direction of a family saga which it remained for 30 or so years. She was leaving the religious, melting pot community vision of the original show and creating a whole different show. I think it just took a year or so after the reboot for her to decide to take it in that direction.

Honestly, the entire Eve arc sucks. I don't think Kimberly Simms could've made it work either. There's no chem between Irizarry and Edson, the story itself falls flat, making it hard (or next to impossible) to like or even empathize with Eve. They simply should've shipped her off after she tried to kill Mindy, and let Nick/Mindy deal with their issues (or not, I was not fond of them) and moved on.

ARTICLE: ‘Let’s Make A Deal’ & ‘TODAY 3rd Hour’ Surge In Viewers, ‘TODAY With Jenna & Sheinelle’ Performs Well Among Key Demos – RATINGS

GH has been pretty volatile week to week in the demos for a while now. Save for the MLB playoff week where they counted repeats, is this the first time it fell behind GMA3 in W18-49?
Good rebound for B&B in W25-54. Not bad for the rest of the CBS shows either with Y&R up slightly and BTG's loss was minimal despite not airing on Monday when CBS tends to do the best.

When Kat was running down Eva she reminded me of India on Guiding Light when she was talking to some lady about Reva. The scene is on YouTube. Kat is very elitist and that is what makes her so annoying.

I did enjoy Izaiah calling Kat out on her hypocrisy. She claims her brand is about empowering women, but she is always tearing one down or being super judgemental. Although she was right about Eva, Kat did come at her hard before she even knew her especially about her style. It seemed like her early interactions with June had a similar disdain. Then when her mother was wearing the dress and dating, she ran to Gran to complain. Like girl! Your mom is a grown woman who is now divorced. Let her live a little. And if she really had an issue with it, she should have talked to her mom, not ran to her grandmother to do something about it.
Ashley and Derek have become way more enjoyable apart. I actually don't mind Ashley as of late.
I surprisingly didn't mind the episode as much.
