Y'all didn't hear it from me (you did!), but expect more white folks to be cast on the show. There's nothing wrong with that, of course, but just giving a heads up as I know people will complain and think it's whitewashing what's already been established as a predominantly Black cast show.

Amazing, this show is really going to go a full year (at least) without telling a story about 2 Black contract characters meeting & falling in love. Even Passions & Sunset Beach managed this! B&B did it this year! Utter madness!

Calling Jacob Young and Chandler Massey.

Wishful thinking I know.

This show is really risking alienating the very viewers that MVJ claimed to be courting, having stated that daytime has traditionally neglected. I understand that they are trying to placate the new bosses at Paramount/Skydance but the onscreen shifts are very very noticeable and I hope this doesn't portend the beginning of taking Black viewers for granted, some are new to daytime soaps and of those, a number have already dropped off since the debut and others are barely hanging on.

Taking a guess that it has something to do with the illegal plasma ring that Jacob is investigating.

Yeah she definitely sounds like she's basically a short term character. Let's see if this actually leads to anything.

I know Chandler's got a restraining order. Anyway, this character is going to be on for only 20 episodes and it would take a lot more than that to whitewash the show.

I see a largely positive shift in the show, but so far none of it has been towards centering a bunch of white characters IMO. Anyway, it's a short term role.

I agree. Huge positive shift in the show... Especially in terms of writing. I've been hooked since sometime last October.
