The week of December 22-26, 2025 marked the conclusion of Q4 2025 (September 29 – December 26, 2025), and with it, CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” emerged as the highest-rated network soap opera among Women 18-49 (0.21 rating) in demo actuals, topping perennial leader “The Young and the Restless” (0.20 rating). Meanwhile, “General Hospital” (0.16 rating) ranked third among soaps, while “Beyond the Gates” placed fourth (0.14 rating).

For the week, “The Bold and the Beautiful” ranked No. 1 among soaps for the 11th time in 14 weeks (including ties) with a 0.20 rating, topping “The Young and the Restless” (0.19 rating). Compared to its performance one week earlier, the half-hour soap opera was down -7,000 viewers (2.587 million vs. 2.594 million), down -0.01 among Women 25-54 (0.32 rating vs 0.33 rating) and flat among Women 18-49 (0.20 rating). Meanwhile, “The Young and the Restless” was up +7,000 viewers (2.890 million vs. 2.883 million), down -0.01 among Women 18-49 (0.19 rating vs. 0.20 rating) and down -0.03 among Women 25-54 (0.36 rating vs. 0.39 rating).

“Beyond the Gates” was flat week to week among Women 18-49, tying its season and series low with a 0.12 rating, and ranked last in the key sales demographic for the second consecutive week in demo actuals. With 1.536 million viewers tuning in, the drama series was down -33,000 from its performance one week earlier. On the positive side, the series averaged a 0.25 rating among Women 25-54 for the third consecutive week, topping time slot competitor “General Hospital” (0.21 rating).

Speaking of “General Hospital,” the daytime drama series saw the largest week-to-week decline among Total Viewers, down -118,000. Excluding its performance during the MLB Wild Card Series during the week of September 29 – October 3, 2025, the soap opera tied its season and series low among Women 18-49 (0.14 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.21 rating). The show’s performance was primarily dragged down by its Wednesday, December 24, 2025 (Christmas Eve) episode, which did a 0.10 rating in Women 18-49 and a 0.16 rating in Women 25-54. Incidentally, the show’s highest-rated episode was Friday, December 26, 2025, with a 0.19 rating among Women 18-49 and a 0.24 rating among Women 25-54.

The second half hours of “The Price is Right” and “Let’s Make a Deal ” set new season highs among Women 18-49 and Women 25-54. Additionally, both half hours of “The Price is Right” set new season highs among Total Viewers (4.598 million and 3.999 million, respectively). The second half-hour of “Let’s Make a Deal” also set a new season high (2.682 million). Overall, “The Price is Right” attracted its largest audience since the week of February 17-21, 2025.

“TODAY 3rd Hour” set a new season high among Women 25-54 (0.47 rating). Ditto for “TODAY with Jenna & Friends” (0.38 rating).

We still have three more weeks of data to publish, not to mention last week's ratings, which will be available later this week.

Beyond the Gates did really well during the week of January 12-16, 2025, so do not worry too much about the ratings published above. Additionally, Y&R did really well during the week of December 29, 2025 - January 2, 2026, crossing the 3 million viewer mark for the first time in about six months. Additionally, General Hospital averaged more than 2 million viewers over the last three weeks, marking the first time it's done so since at least early 2024.
