The gasp I let out at Anita finding out about the cancer.

And I will always love that music cue in the NEXT WEEK teaser.

I hear this music anytime I check my bank account to see how I'm doing and how much money I've destroyed for Christmas shoppings. 🤭

Catching up and have to say how wonderful Christmas was at BTG! Great first year Christmas, kudos to the soap! :)

Thankfully the very obvious, fake Vernon/Sharon affair is over... loved that ending with Vernon singing to Anita. Gosh January might be hard while we watch her battle cancer, with family supporting her. Watching Nicole and Dani break down in next week's previews - so emotional!

I really enjoyed the Christmas episode with Vernon singing "Joy to the World" and "Never Can Say Goodbye".

(Hard to believe Dani & Beautiful even considered ruining Anita's Xmas with that silly third-hand account of Vernon's "affair" with Sharon. It's painful enough that LESLIE believed it, and even dumber that TED would believe Leslie's story, and downright RIDICULOUS that Nicole would believe Ted's testimony about it.)

The payoff of Clifton Davis singing was probably worth the silliness of the circumstances though, I guess.

BTG really delivered this Christmas. The show has shown consistent improvement over the past few months. While I know some people might wish for a quicker pace, I personally enjoy a slow build-up and appreciate the long-term arcs that many characters seem to be going for. They are finally moving away from the weekly headline storytelling, which I truly appreciate, as it had my head spinning at one point. That said, if things take a turn for the worse, I won't hesitate to voice my criticism again, but for now, I'm pleased with how we're wrapping up the year. It's not without its flaws, of course. They have certainly experimented with what works and what doesn't, but I believe they've found their footing.

The three areas that still require a lot of improvement are: 1. Dialogue; 2. Antagonists; 3. Characters that need revamping or recasting (we all know who they are... cough... Ashley... cough... Tomas...). Perhaps I should include a fourth point - anything related to the mob. That needs to be removed before it causes any more damage.

Aside from that, the show has created its own unique atmosphere (I don't think it's similar to Bold like some people say), features plenty of likable characters, and has enough stakes on several fronts to engage viewers. The only campiness has been the charming, villain-from-hell type, and they've managed to avoid most of the typical soap opera absurdities. I wish the team of the soap Merry Christmas and I'm looking forward to a whole new year of adventures.

I agree on every point!

Your picture reminded me: who are the two boys in the frame? 🤣 This family doesn't have two men around the same age.

BTW here's more screenshots I wanted to comment:

Not familiar with the winter weather in the DMV, but maybe they should get themselves some snowy backgrounds?

Glad they got rid of that ugly, misplaced chair next to that staircase for this scene. Hope it won't make a comeback!

Yes, the chair was a choice. Who knows what it's there... maybe shoes off before going upstairs?

It was great acting and I was completely shocked. I guess it shows how invested I'm in Anita as a character and TT as an actress. I'm also excited since Anita IS overdue another storyline that is centered on her. It really had a nice build to over the past week or so.

Hehe. All I can think of is the family staredown in Episode 1 which is still one of my favorite moments on this show. That and Karen Huger from RHOP.
