I've watched since day one, but am I the only one that feels like we've been in a hold pattern for weeks and weeks with nothing really happening? For the first time since the show started, I began to skip over entire episodes only to tune back in and see that nothing has still happened. Now, sometimes it's just background noise for me while I do other things.

I don't need constant huge plot points, but it just feels like people are repeating the same conversations over and over.

I got excited when it was revealed that Hayley was planning on offing Bill, but nothing has really happened with that, either.

You're not alone, a few of us have felt this way. It's like they're just waiting for WinterFest and everything is stalled until then. It's weird. But hopefully starting today, that'll all change! Well actually this week has finally picked up and been better IMO. But yeah, most of November, no.

The storyline with Madison feeling unsupported by Chelsea with her mom is actually interesting because it's different and topical without being overly political, but maybe it would have been nice to like, show it? They are getting to be like Y&R, too much narrating. We should be seeing the dynamics of dinner with her mom instead of being told. It could be done at a restaurant if creating a house set is an issue.

I agree I wish we actually saw all this tension onscreen!

We probably talked about this but if they do cast Madison’s mother, my vote is Victoria Rowell, if she’s age appropriate enough..not that it matters. lol

Yep. Pretty much.

Bring on the 'Fest!!!

I feel like BTG builds to these interesting huge events, but they have boring lulls in between. I wish they would improve hitting better and interesting story beats throughout the build up to the climaxes. For a November sweeps, nothing happened. I believe this is why their 18-49 ratings are down so much. Younger viewers are not going to stick around if the whole journey isn't interesting.

I started really watching GH for the first time about six months ago. And, while it's not perfect, I feel they do a much better job at integrating interesting story beats where it feels like things are at least moving. I at least feel more motivated to stream it every day.

Right now, I feel like I can watch BTG once a week and not miss a thing.

Although, I do agree they need to step it up, I feel the opposite about GH. I can watch BTG every single day and I'm completely engaged. With GH, I'm FFing all the time. They have things happening, but it's the same boring stories and over the top villainous characters. It's all plot driven. I guess it's a matter of preference.

Again, you are right. BTG needs to bring it on. Those 18-49 demos need work.

100% Watching Beyond the Gates is warm and welcoming; watching General Hospital (and the others) feels like a slow-moving chore.

I agree. I feel like I have to watch GH, just because, but I truly look forward to watching BTG.

Same. It's like, "Okay. It's GH time, I guess!"

I don't understand why Sharon and Tracy are acting so shocked about Leslie being Barbara's daughter. "Oh, we would've known..." Oh really? You people were the ones that basically threw her out and you never even kept in touch with her afterwards. Miss me with that crap. Don't you dare pretend you gave a crap about her now. Maybe Barbara didn't want them to know because as far as she was concerned, she might've viewed them as being responsible for her losing her career and dreams of becoming a famous singer? Have they ever thought of that? They never even bothered to stand up for her when Dante forced her out. It's just dumb.

They continue to lay this Vernon/Sharon thing on thick - so annoying. We know he isn't cheating... and if he really is, that would be disgusting and lazy writing because Ted and Bill already have.

  • Love seeing Tracy finally pop up again. Nice seeing her.

  • I appreciate Vernon keeping Marcel on the path he's meant to be on, and he looks quite handsome at the same time.

  • Uh-oh. Ted is going to go for the jugular on Tomas. That is papa bear right there.

  • Damone is a whole lot of a person... perhaps a bit too much, but his makeup work on the women is flawless.

  • Aw, a Devon and Neil mention. How special is that? Just wish it was something we could have seen.

  • Not the spoilt bitch still obsessing and being all about herself. Sweetheart, LET IT GO! And I appreciate Nicole not allowing that "half" to slide.

  • Sharon and Tracy's reaction to the news about Dana being Barbara's daughter is hilarious and very on point.

  • Not Jacob having something negative to say about Eva, and he barely even knows her.

  • Nicole put that mirror right up in front of her spoilt, self-centred bitch of a spawn. Good on her.

  • I like hearing more about Eva's backstory, and I appreciate Ted truly getting to know his daughter and her history prior to his knowing she existed.

  • Tomas, I would not do that. Your life is about to be destroyed. D E S T R O Y E D!

  • Not Tracy catching onto Sharon and Vernon's secret meeting.

Notes:

  • I never expected Dunn and Paige to work together, but they are a dream team! Hope to get more from them as we head into 2026.

  • I appreciate Pomarico's direction and that we are seeing some alt. views of established sets we have yet to see. It is very exciting.

  • The fashion and makeup on the ladies of this soap today is top-shelf! Everyone is looking flawless, especially in preparation for WinterFest. A true show-up-and-show-out gala. And a Forrester Creation? I love that callback.

It's soooooo tiring and lame. I can't believe they went with it this long.

-- I am engaged by BTG, but I don't see how it's warm and welcoming.

-- I agree that November was a bit of a stall, and that isn't good in the first year of a soap. But boy, do they know how to style and make up these actors. Even on slow days when I'm nitpicking everything, I am still wowed by the fashion choices for both the women and the men.

-- The writers need to do better, though, with throwaway dialogue. Today, Eva dropped a line that she really didn't care what she wore to WinterFest. Huh? This is a girl who cares about everything she wears, and we can see party choices all over her couch. Then Leslie shows up and Eva is wowed by what she brought her -- just by pulling down the garment bag zipper. She didn't even look at the thing.

-- Pacing continues to be a problem. Ted is just now getting after Tomas for sleeping with Kat and Eva? This should have already happened. Instead, we're all saying "Where's the father in all this? Ted is absent and doesn't care." We get one "gotcha" after another like this -- the show reminding us they haven't forgotten anything. As I've said before, they play this card too frequently.

I want WF 2026 to be a grand affair. CBS open up them purse strings a bit lol.

Leslie and Marcel are a good looking match made in hell. Im loving this distraction from Teddy Weddy at least for a bit.

I figured we weren't going to see Dr Rollins until next week. Im no soap rookie.

Kat lets Eva get in her head too damn much. Eva does something, Kat reacts, her family doesn't respond the way she wants and now we got her contemplating moving in with the walking dead. Ugh
